1 An Instruction of Asaph. Why, O God, hast Thou cast off for ever? Thine anger smoketh against the flock of Thy pasture.
1 Masquil de Asafe. Ó Deus, por que nos rejeita para sempre? Por que a tua ira fumega contra as ovelhas do teu pasto?
2 Remember Thy company. Thou didst purchase of old, Thou didst redeem the rod of Thy inheritance, This mount Zion -- Thou didst dwell in it.
2 Lembra da tua congregação, a qual compraste na antiguidade; da vara da tua herança, que tu redimiste; este monte Sião, onde tu habitaste.
3 Lift up Thy steps to the perpetual desolations, Everything the enemy did wickedly in the sanctuary.
3 Eleva os teus pés às desolações perpétuas; até mesmo todas aquelas que o inimigo fez perversamente no santuário.
4 Roared have thine adversaries, In the midst of Thy meeting-places, They have set their ensigns as ensigns.
4 Teus inimigos rugem no meio de tuas congregações; eles exibem suas insígnias por sinais.
5 He is known as one bringing in on high Against a thicket of wood -- axes.
5 Um homem foi famoso de acordo com os machados que ele havia levantado sobre espessas árvores.
6 And now, its carvings together With axe and hatchet they break down,
6 Mas agora eles quebram sua obra esculpida de uma só vez, com machados e martelos.
7 They have sent into fire Thy sanctuary, to the earth they polluted the tabernacle of Thy name,
7 Eles lançaram fogo em teu santuário, eles corromperam até o chão a morada do teu nome.
8 They said in their hearts, `Let us oppress them together,` They did burn all the meeting-places of God in the land.
8 Eles disseram em seus corações: Juntos vamos destruí-los; eles queimaram todas as sinagogas de Deus na terra.
9 Our ensigns we have not seen, There is no more a prophet, Nor with us is one knowing how long.
9 Não vemos nossos sinais; não há mais nenhum profeta, nem há entre nós o que saiba por quanto tempo.
10 Till when, O God, doth an adversary reproach? Doth an enemy despise thy name for ever?
10 Ó Deus, por quanto tempo o adversário nos envergonhará? Blasfemará o inimigo o teu nome para sempre?
11 Why dost Thou turn back Thy hand, Even Thy right hand? From the midst of Thy bosom remove [it].
11 Por que retiras a tua mão, até a tua mão direita? Arranca-a do teu peito.
12 And God [is] my king of old, Working salvation in the midst of the earth.
12 Pois Deus é o meu Rei desde a antiguidade, operando a salvação no meio da terra.
13 Thou hast broken by Thy strength a sea-[monster], Thou hast shivered Heads of dragons by the waters,
13 Tu dividiste o mar pela tua força; tu quebraste as cabeças dos dragões nas águas.
14 Thou hast broken the heads of leviathan, Thou makest him food, For the people of the dry places.
14 Tu quebraste em pedaços as cabeças do leviatã, e o deste para ser alimento do povo que habitava no deserto.
15 Thou hast cleaved a fountain and a stream, Thou hast dried up perennial flowings.
15 Tu fendeste a fonte e a enchente; tu secaste poderosos rios.
16 Thine [is] the day, also Thine [is] the night, Thou hast prepared a light giver -- the sun.
16 O dia é teu, a noite também é tua; tu preparaste a luz e o sol.
17 Thou hast set up all the borders of earth, Summer and winter Thou hast formed them.
17 Tu determinaste todas as fronteiras da terra; fizeste o verão e o inverno.
18 Remember this -- an enemy reproached Jehovah, And a foolish people have despised Thy name.
18 Lembra disto: que o inimigo te envergonhou, ó SENHOR, e que os tolos blasfemaram o teu nome.
19 Give not up to a company, The soul of Thy turtle-dove, The company of Thy poor ones forget not for ever.
19 Ó não entregues a alma da tua rola à multidão dos perversos; não esqueças para sempre a congregação dos teus pobres.
20 Look attentively to the covenant, For the dark places of earth, Have been full of habitations of violence.
20 Tem respeito pelo pacto, pois os lugares escuros da terra estão cheios das habitações da crueldade.
21 Let not the oppressed turn back ashamed, Let the poor and needy praise Thy name,
21 Não deixes que o oprimido retorne envergonhado; que o pobre e o necessitado louvem o teu nome.
22 Arise, O God, plead Thy plea, Remember Thy reproach from a fool all the day.
22 Levanta-te, ó Deus, pleiteia pela tua própria causa; lembra-te de como o tolo te envergonha diariamente.
23 Forget not the voice of Thine adversaries, The noise of Thy withstanders is going up continually!
23 Não esqueças a voz dos teus inimigos; o tumulto daqueles que se levantam contra ti aumenta continuamente.
