¹ The fyue and nyntithe salm hath no title. Singe ye a newe song to the Lord; al erthe, synge ye to the Lord.

¹ Vinde, cantemos ao Senhor , com júbilo, celebremos o Rochedo da nossa salvação.

² Synge ye to the Lord, and blesse ye his name; telle ye his heelthe fro dai in to dai.

² Saiamos ao seu encontro, com ações de graças, vitoriemo-lo com salmos.

³ Telle ye his glorie among hethene men; hise merueilis among alle puplis.

³ Porque o Senhor é o Deus supremo e o grande Rei acima de todos os deuses.

⁴ For the Lord is greet, and worthi to be preisid ful myche; he is ferdful aboue alle goddis.

⁴ Nas suas mãos estão as profundezas da terra, e as alturas dos montes lhe pertencem.

⁵ For alle the goddis of hethene men ben feendis; but the Lord made heuenes.

⁵ Dele é o mar, pois ele o fez; obra de suas mãos, os continentes.

⁶ Knouleching and fairnesse is in his siyt; hoolynesse and worthi doyng is in his halewing.

⁶ Vinde, adoremos e prostremo-nos; ajoelhemos diante do

⁷ Ye cuntrees of hethene men, brynge to the Lord, bringe ye glorye and onour to the Lord;

⁷ Ele é o nosso Deus, e nós, povo do seu pasto e ovelhas de sua mão. Hoje, se ouvirdes a sua voz,

⁸ bringe ye to the Lord glorie to hys name. Take ye sacrificis, and entre ye in to the hallis of hym;

⁸ não endureçais o coração, como em Meribá, como no dia de Massá, no deserto,

⁹ herie ye the Lord in his hooli halle. Al erthe be moued of his face;

⁹ quando vossos pais me tentaram, pondo-me à prova, não obstante terem visto as minhas obras.

¹⁰ seie ye among hethene men, that the Lord hath regned. And he hath amendid the world, that schal not be moued; he schal deme puplis in equite.

¹⁰ Durante quarenta anos, estive desgostado com essa geração e disse: é povo de coração transviado, não conhece os meus caminhos.
