1 Ao Músico-chefe sobre Neginote, Masquil, Salmo de Davi. Dá ouvidos à minha oração, ó Deus, e não te escondas da minha súplica.
2 \55:1\To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, A Psalm of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
2 Atende-me, e ouve-me; eu lamento na minha queixa, e faço barulho.
3 \55:2\Attend to me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
3 Por causa da voz do inimigo, por causa da opressão do perverso; pois eles lançam a iniquidade sobre mim, e com ira me odeiam.
4 \55:3\Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
4 Meu coração está dolorido dentro de mim, e os terrores da morte recaíram sobre mim.
5 \55:4\My heart is severely pained within me: and the terrors of death have fallen upon me.
5 O temor e o tremor vieram sobre mim, e o horror me oprimiu.
6 \55:5\Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
6 E eu disse: Ó, se eu tivesse asas como a pomba! Porque então eu voaria para longe e ficaria descansado.
7 \55:6\And I said, O that I had wings like a dove! for then I would fly away, and be at rest.
7 Eis que então eu vaguearia longe, e permaneceria no deserto. Selá.
8 \55:7\Lo, then I would wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
8 Eu apressaria minha fuga da tempestade do vento e da tormenta.
9 \55:8\I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
9 Destrói, ó Senhor, e divide as suas línguas, pois eu vi violência e contenda na cidade.
10 \55:9\Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
10 Dia e noite eles andam ao redor dela, sobre os seus muros; dano e também tristeza estão no seu meio.
11 \55:10\Day and night they go about it upon its walls: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
11 A perversidade está no seu meio, engano e malícia não se apartam das suas ruas.
12 \55:11\Wickedness is in the midst of it: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
12 Pois não foi um inimigo que me envergonhou, então eu o poderia ter suportado. Nem foi aquele que me odiava que se engrandeceu contra mim, então eu teria me escondido dele.
13 \55:12\For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that magnified himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
13 Mas foste tu, homem meu igual, meu guia e meu conhecido.
14 \55:13\But it was thou, a man my equal, my guide, and my acquaintance.
14 Tomávamos o doce conselho juntos, e andávamos para a casa de Deus em companhia.
15 \55:14\We took sweet counsel together, and walked to the house of God in company.
15 Deixe que a morte se apodere deles, e deixe que eles baixem rapidamente ao inferno, pois a perversidade está entre eles, e em suas habitações.
16 \55:15\Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
16 Quanto a mim, clamarei a Deus, e o SENHOR me salvará.
17 \55:16\As for me, I will call upon God: and the LORD will save me.
17 À noite, de manhã e ao meio-dia, eu vou orar e clamarei, e ele ouvirá minha voz.
18 \55:17\Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he will hear my voice.
18 Ele livrou em paz a minha alma da batalha que era contra mim, pois havia muitos comigo.
19 \55:18\He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
19 Deus ouvirá, e os afligirá, ele mesmo que permanece desde a antiguidade. Selá. Porque eles não têm mudanças, portanto, não temem a Deus.
20 \55:19\God will hear and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
20 Ele estendeu sua mão contra os que estavam em paz com ele; quebrou seu pacto.
21 \55:20\He hath put forth his hands against such as are at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
21 As palavras de sua boca eram mais suaves do que manteiga, mas a guerra estava em seu coração; suas palavras eram mais macias do que o azeite, no entanto, eram espadas desembainhadas.
22 \55:21\The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
22 Lança teu fardo sobre o SENHOR, e ele te sustentará, jamais permitirá que o justo sofra ou seja abalado.
23 \55:22\Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he will sustain thee: he will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
23 Mas tu, ó Deus, os farás descer na cova da destruição; homens sanguinários e enganosos não viverão metade de seus dias; mas eu confiarei em ti.
24 \55:23\But thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
