1 [A Psalm] of David. To you, O Yahweh, I lift up my soul.
1 A ti, SENHOR, levanto a minha alma.
2 O my God, in you I have trusted, Don't let me be put to shame; Don't let my enemies triumph over me.
2 Deus meu, em ti confio, não me deixes confundido, nem que os meus inimigos triunfem sobre mim.
3 Yes, none who wait for you will be put to shame: They will be put to shame who are betrayers without cause.
3 Na verdade, não serão confundidos os que esperam em ti; confundidos serão os que transgridem sem causa.
4 Show me your ways, O Yahweh; Teach me your paths.
4 Faze-me saber os teus caminhos, Senhor; ensina-me as tuas veredas.
5 Guide me in your truth, and teach me; For you are the God of my salvation; For you I wait all the day.
5 Guia-me na tua verdade, e ensina-me, pois tu és o Deus da minha salvação; por ti estou esperando todo o dia.
6 Remember, O Yahweh, your tender mercies and your loving-kindness; For they have been ever of old.
6 Lembra-te, Senhor, das tuas misericórdias e das tuas benignidades, porque são desde a eternidade.
7 Don't remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: According to your loving-kindness remember me, For your goodness' sake, O Yahweh.
7 Não te lembres dos pecados da minha mocidade, nem das minhas transgressões; mas segundo a tua misericórdia, lembra-te de mim, por tua bondade, Senhor.
8 Good and upright is Yahweh: Therefore he will instruct sinners in the way.
8 Bom e reto é o Senhor; por isso ensinará o caminho aos pecadores.
9 The meek he will guide in justice; And the meek he will teach his way.
9 Guiará os mansos em justiça e aos mansos ensinará o seu caminho.
10 All the paths of Yahweh are loving-kindness and truth To such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
10 Todas as veredas do Senhor são misericórdia e verdade para aqueles que guardam a sua aliança e os seus testemunhos.
11 For your name's sake, O Yahweh, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.
11 Por amor do teu nome, Senhor, perdoa a minha iniqüidade, pois é grande.
12 What man is he who fears Yahweh? He will instruct him in the way that he will choose.
12 Qual é o homem que teme ao Senhor? Ele o ensinará no caminho que deve escolher.
13 His soul will dwell at ease; And his seed will inherit the land.
13 A sua alma pousará no bem, e a sua semente herdará a terra.
14 The friendship of Yahweh is with those who fear him; And he will show them his covenant.
14 O segredo do Senhor é com aqueles que o temem; e ele lhes mostrará a sua aliança.
15 My eyes are ever toward Yahweh; For he will pluck my feet out of the net.
15 Os meus olhos estão continuamente no Senhor, pois ele tirará os meus pés da rede.
16 Turn to me, and have mercy on me; For I am desolate and afflicted.
16 Olha para mim, e tem piedade de mim, porque estou solitário e aflito.
17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: Oh bring me out of my distresses.
17 As ânsias do meu coração se têm multiplicado; tira-me dos meus apertos.
18 Consider my affliction and my travail; And forgive all my sins.
18 Olha para a minha aflição e para a minha dor, e perdoa todos os meus pecados.
19 Consider my enemies, for they are many; And they hate me with cruel hatred.
19 Olha para os meus inimigos, pois se vão multiplicando e me odeiam com ódio cruel.
20 Oh keep my soul, and deliver me: Don't let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.
20 Guarda a minha alma, e livra-me; não me deixes confundido, porquanto confio em ti.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for you.
21 Guardem-me a sinceridade e a retidão, porquanto espero em ti.
22 Redeem Israel, O God, Out of all his troubles.
22 Redime, ó Deus, a Israel de todas as suas angústias.
