2 Coríntios 11

1 Would that you{+} could bear with me in a little foolishness: but indeed you{+} do bear with me.
1 Espero que vocês suportem um pouco mais de minha insensatez. Por favor, continuem a ser pacientes comigo,
2 For I am jealous over you{+} with a godly jealousy: for I espoused you{+} to one husband, that I might present you{+} [as] a pure virgin to Christ.
2 pois o cuidado que tenho com vocês vem do próprio Deus. Eu os prometi como noiva pura a um único marido, Cristo.
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve in his craftiness, your{+} minds should be corrupted from the simplicity and the purity that is toward Christ.
3 No entanto, temo que sua devoção pura e completa a Cristo seja corrompida de algum modo, como Eva foi enganada pela astúcia da serpente.
4 For if someone comes preaching a different Jesus than we preached, or you{+} receive a spirit other than you{+} received, or good news other than you{+} accepted, you{+} endure well.
4 Vocês aceitam de boa vontade o que qualquer um lhes diz, mesmo que anuncie um Jesus diferente daquele que lhes anunciamos, ou um espírito diferente daquele que vocês receberam, ou boas-novas diferentes daquelas em que vocês creram.
5 For I reckon that I am not a bit behind the very chiefest apostles.
5 Contudo, não me considero em nada inferior aos tais “superapóstolos” que ensinam essas coisas.
6 But though [I am] unskilled in speaking, yet [I am] not [unskilled] in knowledge; certainly, in every way we have made [this] manifest to you{+} in all things.
6 Posso não ter a técnica de um grande orador, mas não me falta conhecimento. Deixamos isso bem claro a vocês de todas as formas possíveis.
7 Or did I commit a sin in abasing myself that you{+} might be exalted, because I preached to you{+} the good news of God for nothing?
7 Será que fiz mal quando me humilhei e os honrei anunciando-lhes as boas-novas de Deus sem esperar nada em troca?
8 I robbed other churches, taking wages to serve you{+};
8 Para servir vocês sem lhes ser pesado, tomei contribuições de outras igrejas que eram mais pobres que vocês.
9 and when I was present with you{+} and was in want, I was not a burden on any man; for the brothers, when they came from Macedonia, supplied the measure of my want; and in everything I kept myself from being burdensome to you{+}, and [so] I will keep [myself].
9 E, quando estive com vocês e não tinha o suficiente para me sustentar, não fui um peso para ninguém, pois os irmãos que vieram da Macedônia trouxeram tudo de que eu precisava. Nunca fui um peso para vocês, e nunca serei.
10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man will stop me of this glorying in the regions of Achaia.
10 Tão certo como a verdade de Cristo está em mim, ninguém em toda a Acaia jamais me impedirá de me orgulhar disso.
11 Why? Because I do not love you{+}? God knows.
11 Por quê? Por que não os amo? Deus sabe quanto os amo!
12 But what I do, I will continue to do, that I may cut off occasion from those who desire an occasion; that in what they glory, they may be found even as we.
12 Assim, continuarei a fazer o que sempre tenho feito. Com isso, frustrarei aqueles que procuram uma oportunidade de se orgulhar de realizar um trabalho como o nosso.
13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, fashioning themselves into apostles of Christ.
13 Esses indivíduos são falsos apóstolos, obreiros enganosos disfarçados de apóstolos de Cristo.
14 And no wonder; for even Satan fashions himself into an angel of light.
14 Mas não me surpreendo. Até mesmo Satanás se disfarça de anjo de luz.
15 It is no great thing therefore if his servants also fashion themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
15 Portanto, não é de admirar que seus servos também finjam ser servos da justiça. No fim, receberão o castigo que suas obras merecem.
16 I say again, let no man think me foolish; but if [you{+} do], yet receive me as foolish, that I also may glory a little.
16 Volto a dizer: não pensem que sou insensato, mas, se o fizerem, aceitem-me como insensato, para que eu também me orgulhe um pouco.
17 That which I speak, I don't speak after the Lord, but as in foolishness, in this confidence of glorying.
17 Não expresso esse meu orgulho como algo que vem do Senhor, mas como um insensato o faria.
18 Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.
18 Uma vez que outros se orgulham de suas realizações humanas, farei o mesmo.
19 For you{+} bear with the foolish gladly, being wise [yourselves].
19 Afinal, vocês se consideram sábios, mas suportam de boa vontade os insensatos.
20 For you{+} bear with a man, if he brings you{+} into slavery, if he devours you{+}, if he takes you{+} [captive], if he exalts himself, if he strikes you{+} on the face.
20 Aceitam que outros os escravizem, devorem seus bens, se aproveitem de vocês, os menosprezem e lhes batam no rosto.
21 I speak by way of shame, as though we had been weak. Yet in what any is bold (I speak in foolishness), I am bold also.
21 Envergonho-me de dizer que fomos “fracos” demais para agir desse modo! Em qualquer coisa que eles se atrevem a se orgulhar (mais uma vez falo como insensato), eu também me atrevo.
22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I.
22 Eles são hebreus? Eu também sou. São israelitas? Eu também sou. São descendentes de Abraão? Eu também sou.
23 Are they servants of Christ? (I speak as one beside himself) I more; in labors more abundantly, in prisons more abundantly, in stripes above measure, in deaths often.
23 São servos de Cristo? Sei que dou a impressão de estar louco, mas digo que tenho servido muito mais. Trabalhei com mais dedicação, fui encarcerado com mais frequência, perdi a conta de quantas vezes fui açoitado e, em várias ocasiões, enfrentei a morte.
24 Of the Jews five times I received forty [stripes] less one.
24 Cinco vezes recebi dos líderes judeus os trinta e nove açoites.
25 Thrice I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;
25 Três vezes fui golpeado com varas. Fui apedrejado uma vez. Três vezes sofri naufrágio. Certa ocasião, passei uma noite e um dia no mar, à deriva.
26 [in] journeyings often, [in] perils of rivers, [in] perils of robbers, [in] perils from [my] countrymen, [in] perils from the Gentiles, [in] perils in the city, [in] perils in the wilderness, [in] perils in the sea, [in] perils among false brothers;
26 Realizei várias jornadas longas. Enfrentei perigos em rios e com assaltantes. Enfrentei perigos de meu próprio povo, bem como dos gentios. Enfrentei perigos em cidades, em desertos e no mar. E enfrentei perigos por causa de homens que se diziam irmãos, mas não eram.
27 [in] labor and travail, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fasts often, in cold and nakedness.
27 Tenho trabalhado arduamente, horas a fio, e passei muitas noites sem dormir. Passei fome e senti sede, e muitas vezes fiquei em jejum. Tremi de frio por não ter roupa suficiente para me agasalhar.
28 Besides those things that are outside, there is that which presses on me daily, anxiety for all the churches.
28 Além disso tudo, sobre mim pesa diariamente a preocupação com todas as igrejas.
29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is caused to stumble, and I do not burn [with distress]?
29 Quem está fraco, que eu também não sinta fraqueza? Quem se deixa levar pelo caminho errado, que a indignação não me consuma?
30 If I must surely glory, I will glory of the things that concern my weakness.
30 Portanto, se devo me orgulhar, prefiro que seja das coisas que mostram como sou fraco.
31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, he who is blessed forevermore knows that I do not lie.
31 Deus, o Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus, que é digno de louvor eterno, sabe que não estou mentindo.
32 In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king guarded the city of the Damascenes in order to take me:
32 Quando estava em Damasco, o governador sob o rei Aretas pôs guardas às portas da cidade para me capturar.
33 and through a window I was let down in a basket by the wall, and escaped his hands.
33 Para escapar dele, tive de ser baixado num cesto grande, de uma janela no muro da cidade.
