1 Respondiendo Jesús les habló de nuevo en parábolas, y dijo:
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 “El reino de los cielos es semejante a un rey que celebró las bodas de su hijo.
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Y envió a sus siervos a llamar a los convidados a las bodas, mas ellos no quisieron venir.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Entonces envió a otros siervos, a los cuales dijo: “Decid a los convidados: Tengo preparado mi banquete; mis toros y animales cebados han sido sacrificados ya, y todo está a punto: venid a las bodas”.
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Pero, sin hacerle caso, se fueron el uno a su granja, el otro a sus negocios.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 Y los restantes agarraron a los siervos, los ultrajaron y los mataron.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 El rey, encolerizado, envió sus soldados, hizo perecer a aquellos homicidas, y quemó su ciudad.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Entonces dijo a sus siervos: “Las bodas están preparadas, mas los convidados no eran dignos.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Id, pues, a las encrucijadas de los caminos, y a todos cuantos halléis, invitadlos a las bodas”.
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Salieron aquellos siervos a los caminos, y reunieron a todos cuantos hallaron, malos y buenos, y la sala de las bodas quedó llena de convidados.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Mas cuando el rey entró para ver a los comensales, notó a un hombre que no estaba vestido con el traje de boda.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Díjole: “Amigo, ¿cómo has entrado aquí sin tener el traje de boda?” Y él enmudeció.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Entonces el rey dijo a los siervos: “Atadlo de pies y manos, y arrojadlo a las tinieblas de afuera; allí será el llanto y el rechinar de dientes.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Porque muchos son llamados, mas pocos escogidos”.
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Entonces los fariseos se fueron y deliberaron cómo le sorprenderían en alguna palabra.

16 Le enviaron, pues, sus discípulos con los herodianos, a decirle: “Maestro, sabemos que eres veraz y que enseñas el camino de Dios con verdad, sin miedo a nadie, porque no miras a la persona de los hombres.
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Dinos, pues, lo que piensas: ¿es lícito pagar tributo al César o no?”
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 Mas Jesús, conociendo su malicia, repuso: “Hipócritas, ¿por qué me tentáis?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 Mostradme la moneda del tributo”. Y le presentaron un denario.
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 Preguntoles: “¿De quién es esta figura y la leyenda?”
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Le respondieron: “del César”. Entonces les dijo: “Dad, pues, al César lo que es del César, y a Dios lo que es de Dios”.
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Oyendo esto, quedaron maravillados, y dejándolo se fueron.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 En aquel día, algunos saduceos, los cuales dicen que no hay resurrección, se acercaron a Él, y le propusieron esta cuestión:
23 — ausente —
24 “Maestro, Moisés ha dicho: ‘Si alguno muere sin tener hijos, su hermano se casará con la cuñada, y suscitará prole a su hermano’.
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 Ahora bien, había entre nosotros siete hermanos. El primero se casó y murió; y como no tuviese descendencia, dejó su mujer a su hermano.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 Sucedió lo mismo con el segundo, y con el tercero, hasta el séptimo.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Después de todos murió la mujer.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 En la resurrección, pues, ¿de cuál de los siete será mujer? Porque todos la tuvieron”.
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Respondioles Jesús y dijo: “Erráis, por no entender las Escrituras ni el poder de Dios.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Pues en la resurrección, ni se casan (los hombres ), ni se dan (las mujeres) en matrimonio, sino que son como ángeles de Dios en el cielo.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 Y en cuanto a la resurrección de los muertos, ¿no habéis leído lo que os ha dicho Dios:
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 “Yo soy el Dios de Abrahán, y el Dios de Isaac, y el Dios de Jacob”? Dios no es Dios de muertos, sino de vivientes”.
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 Al oír esto, las muchedumbres estaban poseídas de admiración por su doctrina.
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 Mas los fariseos, al oír que había tapado la boca a los saduceos, vinieron a reunirse junto a Él;
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 y uno de ellos, doctor de la Ley, le propuso esta cuestión para tentarlo:
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 “Maestro, ¿cuál es el mayor mandamiento de la Ley?”
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 Respondió Él: “Amarás al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma, y con todo tu espíritu.
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 Este es el mayor y primer mandamiento.
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 El segundo le es semejante: “Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo”.
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 De estos dos mandamientos pende toda la Ley y los Profetas”.
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 Estando aún reunidos los fariseos, Jesús les propuso esta cuestión:
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 “¿Qué pensáis del Cristo? ¿De quién es hijo?” Dijéronle “de David”.
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 Replicó Él “¿Cómo, entonces, David (inspirado), por el Espíritu, lo llama “Señor”, cuando dice:
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 “El Señor dijo a mi Señor: Sientate a mi diestra, hasta que ponga a tus enemigos bajo tus pies”?
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 Si David lo llama “Señor” ¿cómo es su hijo?
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 Y nadie pudo responderle nada, y desde ese día nadie osó más proponerle cuestiones.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
