1 To the Chief Musician. For stringed instruments. A contemplation. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not Yourself from my cry.
1 Inclina, ó Deus, os teus ouvidos à minha oração e não te escondas da minha súplica.
2 Attend to me, and hear me; I wander and I moan in my complaint,
2 Atende-me e ouve-me; lamento-me e rujo,
3 from the voice of the enemy, from the oppression of the wicked, for they shake trouble over me, and in wrath they hate me.
3 por causa do clamor do inimigo e da opressão do ímpio; pois lançam sobre mim iniquidade e com furor me aborrecem.
4 My heart is pained within me; and the terrors of death have fallen on me.
4 O meu coração está dorido dentro de mim, e terrores de morte sobre mim caíram.
5 Fear and trembling have come on me, and horror has covered me.
5 Temor e tremor me sobrevêm; e o horror me cobriu.
6 And I said, Who will give to me wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.
6 Pelo que disse: Ah! Quem me dera asas como de pomba! Voaria e estaria em descanso.
7 Lo, I would wander far off; I would lodge in the desert. Selah.
7 Eis que fugiria para longe e pernoitaria no deserto. (Selá)
8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
8 Apressar-me-ia a escapar da fúria do vento e da tempestade.
9 Swallow up, O LORD, and divide their tongues; for I have seen violence and fighting in the city.
9 Despedaça, Senhor, e divide a sua língua, pois tenho visto violência e contenda na cidade.
10 They go around her on her walls by day and night; and evil and sorrow are in her midst.
10 De dia e de noite andam ao redor dela, sobre os seus muros; iniquidade e malícia estão no meio dela.
11 Covetings are in her midst; oppression and guile will not depart from her streets.
11 Maldade há lá dentro; astúcia e engano não se apartam das suas ruas.
12 For it is not an enemy who reviled me; then I could have borne it; it is not one who hates me who magnified himself against me; or I would hide myself from him;
12 Pois não era um inimigo que me afrontava; então, eu o teria suportado; nem era o que me aborrecia que se engrandecia contra mim, porque dele me teria escondido,
13 but it is you, a man my rank, my guide and my friend.
13 mas eras tu, homem meu igual, meu guia e meu íntimo amigo.
14 We took sweet counsel together, and walked to the house of God in company.
14 Praticávamos juntos suavemente, e íamos com a multidão à Casa de Deus.
15 Let desolation take hold on them, and let them go down alive into hell; for evils are among them in their dwellings.
15 A morte os assalte, e vivos os engula a terra; porque há maldade nas suas habitações e no seu próprio interior.
16 I, even I, will call to God, and the LORD will save me.
16 Mas eu invocarei a Deus, e o Senhor me salvará.
17 Evening and morning, and at noon, I will pray and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice.
17 De tarde, e de manhã, e ao meio-dia, orarei; e clamarei, e ele ouvirá a minha voz.
18 He has delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me; for there were many with me.
18 Livrou em paz a minha alma da guerra que me moviam; pois eram muitos contra mim.
19 God shall hear and answer them, even He who is enthroned of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they do not fear God.
19 Deus ouvirá; e os afligirá aquele que preside desde a antiguidade (Selá), porque não há neles nenhuma mudança, e tampouco temem a Deus.
20 He has put forth his hands against those who were at peace with him; he has broken his covenant.
20 Puseram suas mãos nos que tinham paz com ele; romperam a sua aliança.
21 The butterings of his mouth were forked, but war was in his heart; his words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.
21 A sua boca era mais macia do que a manteiga, mas no seu coração, guerra; as suas palavras eram mais brandas do que o azeite; todavia, eram espadas nuas.
22 Cast your burden on the LORD, and He will keep you; He will never allow the righteous to waver.
22 Lança o teu cuidado sobre o Senhor , e ele te susterá; nunca permitirá que o justo seja abalado.
23 But You, O God, will bring them down into the pit of ruin; bloody and deceitful men shall not live half their days; but I will trust in You.
23 Mas tu, ó Deus, os farás descer ao poço da perdição; homens de sangue e de fraude não viverão metade dos seus dias; mas eu em ti confiarei.
