1 To the chief musician. A Testimony. Concerning the Lilies. A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You leading Joseph like a flock; shine forth, You dwelling between the cherubs.
1 Dá ouvidos, ó pastor de Israel, tu que conduzes a José como um rebanho; tu que estás entronizado acima dos querubins, mostra o teu esplendor.
2 Stir up Your might before Ephraim, and Benjamin, and Manasseh, and come for salvation.
2 Perante Efraim, Benjamim e Manassés, desperta o teu poder e vem salvar-nos.
3 O God, turn us again, and make Your face shine, and we will be saved!
3 Restaura-nos, ó Deus; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.
4 O Jehovah God of Hosts, until when will You smoke against the prayer of Your people?
4 Ó Senhor , Deus dos Exércitos, até quando estarás indignado contra a oração do teu povo?
5 You made them eat with the bread of tears; yea, You made them drink with tears a third time.
5 Dás-lhe a comer pão de lágrimas e a beber copioso pranto.
6 You make us a strife for our neighbors, and our enemies laugh to themselves.
6 Constituis-nos em contendas para os nossos vizinhos, e os nossos inimigos zombam de nós a valer.
7 O God of hosts, turn us again, and cause Your face to shine, and we will be saved.
7 Restaura-nos, ó Deus dos Exércitos; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.
8 You have led a vine out of Egypt; You have cast out the nations, and have planted it.
8 Trouxeste uma videira do Egito, expulsaste as nações e a plantaste.
9 You cleared before it, and You have rooted its roots; and it has filled the land.
9 Dispuseste-lhe o terreno, ela deitou profundas raízes e encheu a terra.
10 The hills were covered with its shadow; and its boughs were as the cedars of God.
10 Com a sombra dela os montes se cobriram, e, com os seus sarmentos, os cedros de Deus.
11 It was sending its boughs out to the sea, and its branches to the River.
11 Estendeu ela a sua ramagem até ao mar e os seus rebentos, até ao rio.
12 Why have You broken down its walls, so that it is plucked by all who pass by the way?
12 Por que lhe derribaste as cercas, de sorte que a vindimam todos os que passam pelo caminho?
13 A boar out of the forest wastes it, and the beast of the field feeds on it.
13 O javali da selva a devasta, e nela se repastam os animais que pululam no campo.
14 O God of hosts, we beg You, return! Look down from Heaven and see and visit this vine,
14 Ó Deus dos Exércitos, volta-te, nós te rogamos, olha do céu, e vê, e visita esta vinha;
15 and the vineyard which Your right hand has planted, and on the Son You made strong for Yourself.
15 protege o que a tua mão direita plantou, o sarmento que para ti fortaleceste.
16 It is burned with fire, cut down; they perish at the rebuke of Your face.
16 Está queimada, está decepada. Pereçam os nossos inimigos pela repreensão do teu rosto.
17 Let Your hand be on the Man of Your right hand; on the Son of man whom You have made strong for Yourself.
17 Seja a tua mão sobre o povo da tua destra, sobre o filho do homem que fortaleceste para ti.
18 So we will not backslide from You; make us live, and we will call on Your name.
18 E assim não nos apartaremos de ti; vivifica-nos, e invocaremos o teu nome.
19 O Jehovah, God of hosts, turn us again! Cause Your face to shine, and we will be saved.
19 Restaura-nos, ó Senhor , Deus dos Exércitos, faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.
