1 To the chief musician. On Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph. My voice is to God, and I cry; my voice is to God, and He listened to me.
1 Elevo a Deus a minha voz e clamo, elevo a Deus a minha voz, para que me atenda.
2 In the day of my distress I sought the Lord; my hand was open in the night and did not grow numb; my soul refused to be comforted.
2 No dia da minha angústia, procuro o Senhor; erguem-se as minhas mãos durante a noite e não se cansam; a minha alma não encontra consolo.
3 I remember God and am troubled; I meditate and my spirit faints. Selah.
3 Lembro-me de Deus e começo a gemer; medito, e o meu espírito desfalece.
4 You seized the watches of my eyes; I am troubled, and I cannot speak.
4 Não me deixas pregar os olhos; tão perturbado estou, que nem posso falar.
5 I thought upon the days of old, the years of bygone ages.
5 Penso nos dias de outrora, trago à lembrança os anos de tempos passados.
6 I will remember my song in the night; I will speak with my own heart, and my spirit carefully searches.
6 De noite indago o meu íntimo, e o meu espírito pergunta:
7 Will the lord cast off forever; and will He not add to be pleased any more?
7 “Será que o Senhor nos rejeitará para sempre? Acaso, não voltará a ser propício?
8 Is His mercy gone forever? Has His word failed for all generations?
8 Cessou perpetuamente a sua graça? Caducou a sua promessa para todas as gerações?
9 Has God forgotten to be gracious; has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah.
9 Será que Deus se esqueceu de ser bondoso? Ou será que encerrou as suas misericórdias na sua ira?”
10 And I said, This is my sickness, the years of the right hand of the Most High;
10 Então eu disse: “Esta é a minha aflição: o poder do Altíssimo não é mais o mesmo.”
11 I will remember the works of Jehovah; surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
11 Recordarei os feitos do Senhor ; certamente me lembrarei das tuas maravilhas da antiguidade.
12 I will also meditate on all Your works and muse of Your doings.
12 Meditarei em todas as tuas obras e pensarei em todos os teus feitos poderosos.
13 O God, your way is in holiness; who is a God great like God?
13 O teu caminho, ó Deus, é de santidade. Que deus é tão grande como o nosso Deus?
14 You are the God who does wonders; You have revealed Your strength among the peoples.
14 Tu és o Deus que operas maravilhas e, entre os povos, tens feito notório o teu poder.
15 You have redeemed Your people with Your arm, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.
15 Com o teu braço remiste o teu povo, os filhos de Jacó e de José.
16 The waters saw You, O God, the waters saw You; they were afraid; yea, the deeps trembled.
16 As águas te viram, ó Deus, as águas te viram e temeram; até os abismos se abalaram.
17 The clouds poured out water; the skies uttered a voice; and Your arrows flew out.
17 Grossas nuvens se desfizeram em água; houve trovões nos espaços; também as tuas setas cruzaram de uma parte para outra.
18 The voice of Your thunder in the tempest; lightnings lit up the world; the earth trembled and quaked!
18 O estrondo do teu trovão ecoou na redondeza; os relâmpagos iluminaram o mundo; a terra se abalou e tremeu.
19 Your way is in the sea; and Your path is in the great waters; and Your footsteps are not known.
19 O teu caminho foi pelo mar; as tuas veredas passaram pelas grandes águas, mas ninguém encontrou as tuas pegadas.
20 You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
20 O teu povo, tu o conduziste, como rebanho, pelas mãos de Moisés e de Arão.
