1 A Lesson, of Asaph. O God, have You cast us off forever; will Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture?
1 Ó Deus, por que nos rejeitaste para sempre? Por que se acende a tua ira contra as ovelhas do teu pasto?
2 Remember Your congregation; You purchased them in days before; You redeemed us as the rod of Your inheritance, this Mount Zion in which You have dwelt.
2 Lembra-te da tua congregação, que compraste desde a antiguidade; da vara da tua herança, que remiste; deste monte Sião, em que habitaste.
3 Lift up Your steps to the perpetual desolations, the enemy who has done all evil in the sanctuary.
3 Levanta os teus pés para as perpétuas assolações, para tudo o que o inimigo tem feito de mal no santuário.
4 Your vexers have roared in the middle of Your congregation; they set up their own signs for signs.
4 Os teus inimigos bramam no meio dos teus lugares santos; põem neles as suas insígnias por sinais.
5 He is known as one bringing axes in on high, against the thick trees.
5 Um homem se tornava famoso, conforme houvesse levantado machados, contra a espessura do arvoredo.
6 And now together they break down its carved work with the axe and hammers.
6 Mas agora toda obra entalhada de uma vez quebram com machados e martelos.
7 They have cast fire in Your sanctuary; they have polluted the place where Your name dwells on the earth.
7 Lançaram fogo no teu santuário; profanaram, derrubando-a até ao chão, a morada do teu nome.
8 They said in their hearts, Let us rage against them together; they have burned up all the meeting-places of God in the land.
8 Disseram nos seus corações: Despojemo-los duma vez. Queimaram todos os lugares santos de Deus na terra.
9 We did not see our signs; there is no longer a prophet; nor any among us who knows until when.
9 Já não vemos os nossos sinais, já não há profeta, nem há entre nós alguém que saiba até quando isto durará.
10 O God, until when shall the enemy defame You ? Shall the enemy scorn Your name forever?
10 Até quando, ó Deus, nos afrontará o adversário? Blasfemará o inimigo o teu nome para sempre?
11 Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand? From out of Your bosom, consume them .
11 Porque retiras a tua mão, a saber, a tua destra? Tira-a de dentro do teu seio.
12 For God is my King of old, who works salvation in the midst of the land.
12 Todavia Deus é o meu Rei desde a antiguidade, operando a salvação no meio da terra.
13 You broke the sea by Your strength; You burst the heads of sea-monsters in the waters.
13 Tu dividiste o mar pela tua força; quebrantaste as cabeças das baleias nas águas.
14 You cracked open the heads of leviathan; You gave him to be food for the people of the wilderness.
14 Fizeste em pedaços as cabeças do leviatã, e o deste por mantimento aos habitantes do deserto.
15 You divided the fountain and the torrent; You dried up mighty rivers.
15 Fendeste a fonte e o ribeiro; secaste os rios impetuosos.
16 The day is Yours, the night is also Yours. You have established the light and the sun.
16 Teu é o dia e tua é a noite; preparaste a luz e o sol.
17 You have fixed the boundaries of the earth; You have formed the summer and winter.
17 Estabeleceste todos os limites da terra; verão e inverno tu os formaste.
18 Remember this: the enemy has defamed, O Jehovah; and a foolish people have scorned Your name.
18 Lembra-te disto: que o inimigo afrontou ao Senhor e que um povo louco blasfemou o teu nome.
19 Do not give the soul of Your turtledove to the wild beasts; You will not forever forget the life of Your afflicted ones.
19 Não entregues às feras a alma da tua rola; não te esqueças para sempre da vida dos teus aflitos.
20 Look to Your covenant; for the dark places of the earth are full, the abodes of violence.
20 Atende a tua aliança; pois os lugares tenebrosos da terra estão cheios de moradas de crueldade.
21 O let not the ill-treated ones turn back ashamed; let the poor and needy praise Your name.
21 Oh, não volte envergonhado o oprimido; louvem o teu nome o aflito e o necessitado.
22 Arise, O God, contend for Your cause; remember Your reproach from the fool all the day.
22 Levanta-te, ó Deus, pleiteia a tua própria causa; lembra-te da afronta que o louco te faz cada dia.
23 Do not forget the voice of Your enemies; the noise of those rising up against You is going up continually.
23 Não te esqueças dos gritos dos teus inimigos; o tumulto daqueles que se levantam contra ti aumenta continuamente.
