1 Save me, O God, because waters have come up to my neck.
1 Ó Deus, salva-me porque estou na água até o pescoço!
2 I sink in the mud of the deep, and there is no foothold. I have come to watery depths, and the torrent floods over me.
2 Estou atolado num lamaçal muito fundo, não tenho onde apoiar os pés. Entrei em águas profundas, e a correnteza quase me afoga.
3 I am weary with my calling out; my throat is parched. My eyes are exhausted in my waiting for my God.
3 Estou rouco de tanto gritar por socorro, e a minha garganta está ardendo. Os meus olhos estão cansados, esperando que tu, meu Deus, venhas me socorrer.
4 More numerous than the hairs of my head are those hating me without a cause. Those who are destroying me—my enemies wrongfully— are mighty. What I did not steal, I then must restore.
4 Aqueles que, sem motivo, me odeiam são mais numerosos do que os cabelos da minha cabeça. Os meus inimigos contam mentiras a respeito de mim; eles são fortes e querem me matar. Eles me forçam a devolver o que não roubei.
5 O God, ⌞you yourself know⌟ my foolishness, and my guilty deeds are not hidden from you.
5 Os meus pecados não estão escondidos de ti, ó Deus; tu sabes como tenho sido tolo.
6 Let those who wait for you not be put to shame because of me, O Lord Yahweh of hosts. Let those who seek you not be disgraced because of me, O God of Israel.
6 Ó Senhor , Deus Todo-Poderoso, não deixes que aqueles que confiam em ti passem vergonha por causa de mim! Ó Deus de Israel, não permitas que eu traga desgraça para aqueles que te adoram!
7 Because on account of you I have borne reproach; disgrace has covered my face.
7 Pois é por causa do meu amor por ti que tenho suportado insultos e tenho passado vergonha.
8 I have become a stranger to my brothers and a foreigner to my mother’s sons,
8 Sou como um estranho para os meus irmãos, sou como um desconhecido para a minha família.
9 because the zeal for your house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those reproaching you have fallen on me.
9 O meu amor pelo teu Templo queima dentro de mim como fogo; as ofensas daqueles que te insultam caem sobre mim.
10 When I wept in the fasting of my soul, it became reproaches for me.
10 Eu faço jejum e me humilho, e, no entanto, eles me insultam.
11 When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became for them a byword.
11 Eu me visto de luto, e eles riem de mim.
12 Those sitting at the gate talk about me as also the songs of the drunkards.
12 Falam de mim nas praças, e os bêbados fazem versos a meu respeito.
13 But as for me, my prayer is to you, O Yahweh, for a favorable time, O God, according to the abundance of your loyal love. Answer me with the faithfulness of your salvation.
13 Porém eu, ó Senhor Deus, faço a minha oração a ti. Ó Deus, responde-me quando achares por bem, pois me amas muito! Salva-me como prometeste.
14 Deliver me from the mud and do not let me sink. Let me be delivered from those who hate me and from the watery depths.
14 Não me deixes afundar na lama. Livra-me dos meus inimigos e das águas profundas da morte.
15 Do not let the torrent of waters flood over me, or the deep swallow me, or the pit close its mouth over me.
15 Não deixes que as ondas me cubram. Não permitas que eu me afogue em águas profundas, nem que seja engolido pela sepultura.
16 Answer me, O Yahweh, because your loyal love is good; according to your abundant mercies, turn to me,
16 Ó Senhor Deus, tu és bom e amoroso; responde-me e vem me ajudar, pois é grande a tua compaixão.
17 and do not hide your face from your servant. Because I am in trouble, answer me quickly.
17 Não te escondas do teu servo ; responde-me agora, pois estou muito aflito.
18 Draw near to my soul; redeem it. Because of my enemies, ransom me.
18 Vem e salva-me; livra-me dos meus inimigos.
19 You know my reproach, my shame and my disgrace. ⌞Fully known⌟ to you are all my adversaries.
19 Tu vês todos os meus inimigos; tu sabes como eles me insultam e conheces a vergonha e as humilhações que tenho sofrido.
20 Reproach has broken my heart and I am sick. And I hoped for sympathy, but there was none, and for comforters, but I found none.
20 Os insultos partiram o meu coração, e estou desesperado. Esperei que alguém tivesse pena de mim, mas ninguém teve; esperei que alguém viesse me consolar, porém ninguém apareceu.
21 They also gave me gall for food, and for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
21 Quando estava com fome, eles me deram veneno; quando estava com sede, me ofereceram vinagre.
22 Let their table before them be a trap, and their times of peace a snare.
22 Que os seus banquetes sejam a desgraça deles! E que as suas festas religiosas causem a sua queda!
23 Let their eyes be dark so they cannot see, and make their loins continually tremble.
23 Ó Deus, faze com que eles fiquem cegos! Faze com que percam completamente as forças!
24 Pour out your indignation on them, and let your burning anger overtake them.
24 Descarrega sobre eles a tua ira , e que o fogo do teu furor os alcance!
25 Let their camp be desolate. Let none dwell in their tents,
25 Que os seus acampamentos fiquem desertos! E que ninguém fique vivo nas suas barracas!
26 because they persecute those whom you, yourself, have struck, and they tell of the pain of those you have wounded.
26 Eles perseguem aqueles que castigaste e zombam dos sofrimentos daqueles que feriste.
27 ⌞Add guilt on top of their guilt⌟, and do not let them ⌞be acquitted⌟.
27 Toma nota de todos os pecados deles; não os deixes tomar parte na tua salvação.
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and let them not be recorded with the righteous.
28 Que o nome deles seja riscado do livro da vida e que não seja colocado na lista dos que te obedecem!
29 But as for me, though I am afflicted and pained, your salvation will protect me, O God.
29 Eu estou sofrendo, desesperado; ó Deus, levanta-me e salva-me!
30 I will praise the name of God in song, and magnify him with thanksgiving.
30 Louvarei a Deus com uma canção; anunciarei com gratidão a sua grandeza.
31 For Yahweh it will be better than an ox or bull, horned and hoofed.
31 Isso será mais agradável a Deus, o do que oferecer em um touro crescido.
32 The afflicted will see and rejoice. O God seekers, let your heart revive,
32 Quando os que são perseguidos virem isso, ficarão contentes, e os que adoram a Deus ficarão animados.
33 because Yahweh hears the needy and does not despise his own who are prisoners.
33 Pois o Senhor ouve os necessitados e não despreza o seu povo que está na prisão.
34 Let heavens and earth praise him, the seas and all that moves in them,
34 Louvem a Deus, ó céu e terra, ó mares e todas as criaturas que estão neles!
35 because God will save Zion and build the cities of Judah, that they may dwell there and possess it.
35 Ele salvará Jerusalém e construirá de novo as cidades de Judá. O seu povo viverá ali e possuirá a
36 And the offspring of his servants will inherit it, and those who love his name will abide in it.
36 Os descendentes dos servos de Deus herdarão essa Terra, e aqueles que o amam viverão ali.
