1 “Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak, and let the earth hear the words of my mouth.
1 Ouvi, ó céus, e falarei; e ouve, ó terra, as palavras da minha boca.
2 May my teaching trickle like the dew, my words like rain showers on tender grass, and like spring showers on new growth.
2 A minha doutrina gotejará como a chuva, a minha fala destilará como o orvalho, como a garoa sobre a tenra erva, e como as chuvas sobre a relva;
3 For I will proclaim the name of Yahweh; ascribe greatness to our God!
3 porque divulgarei o nome do SENHOR: Engrandecei ao nosso Deus.
4 The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are just; he is a faithful God, and ⌞without injustice⌟; righteous and upright is he.
4 Ele é a Rocha, a sua obra é perfeita; porque todos os seus caminhos são juízo; um Deus de verdade e sem iniquidade, justo e reto é ele.
5 They have behaved corruptly toward him; they are not his children; this is their flaw, a generation crooked and perverse.
5 Eles se corromperam, a mancha deles não é a mancha dos seus filhos; eles são uma geração perversa e deturpada.
6 Like this do you treat Yahweh, foolish and ⌞unwise⌟ people? Has he not, your father, created you? He made you, and he established you.
6 Assim recompensais ao SENHOR, ó povo tolo e insensato? Não é ele o teu pai, que te comprou? Ele não te criou, e não te estabeleceu?
7 Remember the old days, ⌞the years long past⌟; ask your father, and he will inform you, your elders and they will tell you.
7 Lembra-te dos dias de antigamente; considera os anos de muitas gerações; pergunta a teu pai, e ele te mostrará, e aos teus anciãos, e eles te dirão.
8 ⌞When the Most High apportioned⌟ the nations, at his dividing up of the sons of humankind, he fixed the boundaries of the peoples, according to the number of the children of Israel.
8 Quando o Altíssimo dividiu entre as nações a sua herança, quando separou os filhos de Adão, definiu os termos do povo, conforme o número dos filhos de Israel.
9 For Yahweh’s portion was his people, Jacob the share of his inheritance.
9 Porque a porção do SENHOR é o seu povo; Jacó é a parte da sua herança.
10 He found him in a desert land, and in a howling, desert wasteland; he ⌞encircled him⌟, he cared for him, he protected him like the ⌞apple⌟ of his eye.
10 Ele o encontrou em uma terra deserta, e no deserto solitário e uivante; ele o guiou, ele o instruiu, ele o protegeu, como a menina dos seus olhos.
11 As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreads out its wings, takes them, carries them on its pinions,
11 Como uma águia agita sua ninhada, voando sobre as suas crias, estende suas asas, toma-os, e leva-os sobre suas asas;
12 so Yahweh alone guided him, and ⌞there was no foreign god accompanying him⌟.
12 só o SENHOR o guiou, e não houve com ele nenhum deus estranho.
13 And he set him on the high places of the land, and he fed him the crops of the field, and he nursed him with honey from crags, and with oil from flinty rock,
13 Ele o fez cavalgar sobre os lugares altos da terra, para que pudesse comer o incremento dos seus campos, e o fez chupar o mel da rocha, e azeite da rocha pedregosa;
14 With curds from the herd, and with milk from the flock, with the fat of young rams, and rams, the offspring of Bashan, and with goats along with the finest kernels of wheat, and from the blood of grapes you drank fermented wine.
14 manteiga de vacas, e leite de ovelhas, com gordura de cordeiros, e carneiros da raça de Basã, e cabras, com a gordura dos rins de trigo; e bebeste o sangue puro das uvas.
15 And Jeshurun grew fat, and he kicked; you grew fat, you bloated, and you became obstinate; and he abandoned God, his maker, and he scoffed at the rock of his salvation.
15 Mas Jesurum engordou, e deu coices; tu engordaste, tu te engrossaste, tu te cobriste de gordura; então ele abandonou o Deus que o criou, e desprezou a Rocha da sua salvação.
16 They made him jealous with strange gods; with detestable things they provoked him.
16 Eles provocaram ciúmes, com deuses estranhos, com abominações o provocaram à ira.
17 They sacrificed to the demons, not God, to gods whom they had not known, new gods who came from recent times; ⌞their ancestors had not known them⌟.
17 Eles sacrificaram a demônios, não a Deus; a deuses que não conheciam; a novos deuses que eram recém chegados, a quem seus pais não temiam.
18 The rock who bore you, you neglected, and you forgot God, the one giving you birth.
18 Da Rocha que te gerou, te descuidaste, e te esqueceste do Deus que te formou.
19 Then Yahweh saw, and he spurned them, because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.
19 E quando o SENHOR viu isso, abominou-os por causa da provocação de seus filhos e de suas filhas.
20 So he said, ‘I will hide my face from them; I will see what will be their end, for they are a generation of perversity, ⌞children in whom there is no faithfulness⌟.
20 E ele disse: Esconderei deles a minha face; e verei qual será o seu fim, porque eles são uma geração muito insubordinada, filhos em quem não existe fé.
21 They annoyed me with what is not a god; they provoked me with their idols. So I will make them jealous with those not a people, with a foolish nation I will provoke them.
21 Eles me moveram para o ciúme do que não é Deus; eles me provocaram à ira com suas vaidades; e eu os moverei para o ciúme daqueles que não são um povo; eu os provocarei à ira com uma nação tola.
22 For a fire was kindled by my anger, and it burned ⌞up to the depths of Sheol⌟, and it devoured the earth and its produce, and it set afire the foundation of the mountains.
22 Porque um fogo se acendeu na minha ira, e arderá até as profundezas do inferno, e consumirá a terra com o seu incremento, e porá fogo nas fundações dos montes.
23 I will heap disasters upon them; my arrows I will spend on them.
23 Amontoarei males sobre eles; minhas setas gastarei sobre eles.
24 They will become weakened by famine, and consumed by plague and bitter pestilence; and the teeth of wild animals I will send against them, with the poison of the creeping things in the dust;
24 Eles se consumirão com fome, e serão devorados com calor ardente, e com amarga destruição; também enviarei sobre eles os dentes de animais, com o veneno de serpentes do pó.
25 From outside her boundaries the sword will make her childless, and from inside, terror; both for the young man and also the young woman, the infant along with the gray-headed man.
25 por fora a espada, e por dentro o terror, destruirão tanto ao jovem como a virgem, o bebê que mama e também o homem de cabelos grisalhos.
26 I thought, “I will wipe them out; ⌞I will make people forget they ever existed⌟.”
26 Eu disse: Eu os espalharei pelos cantos, e farei cessar a sua lembrança entre os homens,
27 If I had not feared a provocation of the enemy, lest their foes might misunderstand, lest they should say, “Our hand is ⌞triumphant⌟, and Yahweh did not do all this.” ’
27 se eu não temesse a ira do inimigo, para que os seus adversários não se comportem de maneira estranha, e para que não digam: A nossa mão está alta, e o SENHOR não fez tudo isto.
28 For ⌞they are a nation void of sense⌟, and there is not any understanding in them.
28 Porque eles são uma nação vazia de conselhos, e nem há nenhum entendimento neles.
29 If only they were wise, they would understand this; they would discern ⌞for themselves their end⌟.
29 Oh, se fossem sábios, para que entendessem isto, para que considerassem o seu fim!
30 How could one chase a thousand and two could cause a myriad to flee, if their Rock had not sold them, and Yahweh had not given them up?
30 Como poderia um só perseguir mil, e dois colocarem dez mil em fuga, exceto se a sua Rocha os tivesse vendido, e o SENHOR os tivesse encerrado?
31 For the fact of the matter is, their rock is not like our Rock, and our enemies recognize this.
31 Pois a sua rocha não é como a nossa Rocha, e até os nossos inimigos são juízes.
32 For their vine is from the vine of Sodom, and from the terraces of Gomorrah; their grapes are grapes of poison; ⌞their clusters are bitter⌟.
32 Porque a sua vinha é a vinha de Sodoma, e dos campos de Gomorra; as suas uvas são uvas de fel, os seus cachos são amargos;
33 Their wine is the poison of snakes, and the deadly poison of horned vipers.
33 o seu vinho é o veneno de dragões, e o cruel veneno de víboras.
34 ‘Is not this stored up with me, sealed in my treasuries?’
34 Não está isto armazenado comigo, e selado entre os meus tesouros?
35 ⌞Vengeance belongs to me⌟ and also recompense, ⌞for at the time their foot slips⌟, because the day of their disaster is near, ⌞and fate comes quickly for them⌟.’
35 A mim pertence a vingança, e a recompensa; o seu pé deslizará no devido tempo; porque o dia da sua calamidade é chegado, e as coisas que virão sobre eles se apressam.
36 For Yahweh will judge on behalf of his people, and concerning his servants; he will change his mind when he sees that their power has disappeared, and there is no one left, confined or free.
36 Porquanto o SENHOR julgará o seu povo, e se arrependerá pelos seus servos, quando vir que o seu poder se acabou, e que não existe ninguém preso, ou deixado.
37 And he will say, ‘Where are their gods, their rock in whom they took refuge?
37 E ele dirá: Onde estão os seus deuses, a sua rocha, em quem confiavam,
38 Who ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their libations? Let them rise up, and let them help you; ⌞Let them be to you a refuge⌟.
38 que comeu a gordura de seus sacrifícios, e bebeu o vinho das suas ofertas de bebidas? Levantem-se, e vos ajudem, e sejam a vossa proteção.
39 See, now, that I, even I am he, and there is not a god besides me; I put to death and I give life; I wound and I heal; there is not one who delivers from my hand!
39 Vede agora que eu, eu sou ele, e não há nenhum deus comigo; eu mato e eu faço viver; eu firo e eu saro; tampouco existe alguém que possa escapar de minha mão.
40 For indeed I lift up my hand to heaven, And I promise ⌞as I live forever⌟,
40 Porque ergo minha mão para os céus, e digo: Eu vivo para sempre.
41 When I sharpen ⌞my flashing sword⌟, and my hand takes hold of it in judgment, ⌞I will take reprisals against my foes⌟, and my haters I will repay.
41 Se eu afiar a minha espada reluzente, e a minha mão tomar o juízo; trarei vingança aos meus inimigos, e recompensarei os que me odeiam.
42 I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh with the blood of the slain, and captives from the heads of the leaders of the enemy.’
42 Farei minhas setas bêbadas de sangue, e minha espada devorará a carne; e isso com o sangue dos mortos e dos cativos, desde o princípio das vinganças sobre o inimigo.
43 Call for songs of joy, O nations, concerning his people, for the blood of his servants he will avenge, ⌞and he will take reprisals against his foes⌟, and he will make atonement for his land, his people.”
43 Alegrai-vos, ó nações, com o seu povo; porque ele vingará o sangue dos seus servos, e trará vingança aos seus adversários, e será misericordioso com a sua terra, e para o seu povo.
44 And Moses came, and he spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people; that is, he and Joshua the son of Nun.
44 E Moisés saiu e falou todas as palavras deste cântico aos ouvidos do povo, ele e Oseias, filho de Num.
45 ⌞And when Moses finished speaking⌟ all these words to all Israel,
45 E Moisés terminou de falar todas essas palavras a todo Israel,
46 then he said to them, “⌞Take to heart all the words⌟ that I am admonishing against you ⌞today⌟ concerning which you should instruct them with respect to your children ⌞so that they will observe diligently⌟ all the words of this law,
46 e disse a eles: Concentrai vossos corações em todas as palavras que testemunho entre vós neste dia, que ordenareis que os vossos filhos observem e cumpram, todas as palavras desta lei.
47 for it is not a trifling matter among you, but it is your life, and through this word ⌞you will live long in the land⌟ that you are about to cross the Jordan to get there to take possession of it.”
47 Porque não é uma coisa vã para vós, porque é a vossa vida; e por isto prolongareis os vossos dias na terra, que vais passar o Jordão para possuir.
48 And Yahweh said to Moses on exactly this day, ⌞saying⌟,
48 E o SENHOR falou a Moisés naquele mesmo dia, dizendo:
49 “Go up to this mountain of the Abarim range, Mount Nebo, which is ⌞opposite Jericho⌟, and see the land of Canaan that I am giving to the ⌞Israelites⌟ as a possession.
49 Sobe este monte de Abarim, até o monte Nebo, que está na terra de Moabe, que está diante de Jericó, e contempla a terra de Canaã, que dou aos filhos de Israel como uma possessão,
50 You shall die on that mountain that you are about to go up there, and you will be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died on ⌞Mount Hor⌟ and he was gathered to his people,
50 e morrerás no monte que subirás, e te reunirás ao teu povo, como Arão, teu irmão, morreu no monte Hor, e foi reunido ao seu povo;
51 because of the fact that you broke faith with me in the midst of Israel at the waters of Meribah Kadesh, in the desert of Zin, because ⌞you did not treat me as holy⌟ in the midst of the ⌞Israelites⌟.
51 porque transgrediste contra mim entre os filhos de Israel, nas águas de Meribá de Cades, no deserto de Zim; porque não me santificastes no meio dos filhos de Israel.
52 Yes, from afar you may view the land, but there you shall not enter there, that is, into the land that I am giving to the ⌞Israelites⌟.”
52 Mas verás a terra diante de ti; mas não irás à terra que dou aos filhos de Israel.
