1 Escuta-nos, Pastor de Israel, tu, que conduzes a José como a um rebanho; tu, que tens o teu trono sobre os querubins, manifesta o teu esplendor
2 Exult before God our helper. Sing joyfully to the God of Jacob.
2 diante de Efraim, Benjamim e Manassés. Desperta o teu poder, e vem salvar-nos!
3 Take up a psalm, and bring forth the timbrel: a pleasing Psalter with stringed instruments.
3 Restaura-nos, ó Deus! Faze resplandecer sobre nós o teu rosto, para que sejamos salvos.
4 Sound the trumpet at the new moon, on the noteworthy day of your solemnity,
4 Ó Senhor, Deus dos Exércitos, até quando arderá a tua ira contra as orações do teu povo?
5 for it is a precept in Israel and a judgment for the God of Jacob.
5 Tu o alimentaste com pão de lágrimas e o fizeste beber copos de lágrimas.
6 He set it as a testimony with Joseph, when he went out of the land of Egypt. He heard a tongue that he did not know.
6 Fizeste de nós um motivo de disputas entre as nações vizinhas, e os nossos inimigos caçoam de nós.
7 He turned the burdens away from his back. His hands had been a slave to baskets.
7 Restaura-nos, ó Deus dos Exércitos; faze resplandecer sobre nós o teu rosto, para que sejamos salvos.
8 You called upon me in tribulation, and I freed you. I heard you within the hidden tempest. I tested you with waters of contradiction.
8 Do Egito trouxeste uma videira; expulsaste as nações e a plantaste.
9 My people, listen and I will call you to testify. If, O Israel, you will pay heed to me,
9 Limpaste o terreno, ela lançou raízes e encheu a terra.
10 then there will be no new god among you, nor will you adore a foreign god.
10 Os montes foram cobertos pela sua sombra, e os mais altos cedros, pelos seus ramos.
11 For I am the Lord your God, who led you out of the land of Egypt. Widen your mouth, and I will fill it.
11 Seus ramos se estenderam até o Mar, e os seus brotos, até o Rio.
12 But my people did not hear my voice, and Israel was not attentive to me.
12 Por que derrubaste as suas cercas, permitindo que todos os que passam apanhem as suas uvas?
13 And so, I sent them away, according to the desires of their heart. They will go forth according to their own inventions.
13 Javalis da floresta a devastam e as criaturas do campo dela se alimentam.
14 If my people had heard me, if Israel had walked in my ways,
14 Volta-te para nós, ó Deus dos Exércitos! Dos altos céus olha e vê! Toma conta desta videira,
15 I would have humbled their enemies, as if it were nothing, and I would have sent my hand upon those who troubled them.
15 da raiz que a tua mão direita plantou, do filho que para ti fizeste crescer!
16 The enemies of the Lord have lied to him, and their time will come, in every age.
16 Tua videira foi derrubada; como lixo, foi consumida pelo fogo. Pela tua repreensão perece o teu povo!
17 And he fed them from the fat of the grain, and he saturated them with honey from the rock.
17 Repouse a tua mão sobre aquele que puseste à tua mão direita, o filho do homem que para ti fizeste crescer.

18 Então não nos desviaremos de ti; vivifica-nos, e invocaremos o teu nome.
