1 A Maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite.
1 As benignidades do SENHOR cantarei perpetuamente; com a minha boca manifestarei a tua fidelidade de geração em geração.
2 I will sing of thy steadfast love, O LORD, for ever; with my mouth I will proclaim thy faithfulness to all generations.
2 Pois disse eu: A tua benignidade será edificada para sempre; tu confirmarás a tua fidelidade até nos céus, dizendo:
3 For thy steadfast love was established for ever, thy faithfulness is firm as the heavens.
3 Fiz uma aliança com o meu escolhido, e jurei ao meu servo Davi, dizendo:
4 Thou hast said, "I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David my servant:
4 A tua semente estabelecerei para sempre, e edificarei o teu trono de geração em geração. (Selá.)
5 `your descendants for ever, and build your throne for all generations.'" [Selah]
5 E os céus louvarão as tuas maravilhas, ó Senhor, a tua fidelidade também na congregação dos santos.
6 Let the heavens praise thy wonders, O LORD, thy faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones!
6 Pois quem no céu se pode igualar ao Senhor? Quem entre os filhos dos poderosos pode ser semelhante ao Senhor?
7 For who in the skies can be compared to the LORD? Who among the heavenly beings is like the LORD,
7 Deus é muito formidável na assembléia dos santos, e para ser reverenciado por todos os que o cercam.
8 a God feared in the council of the holy ones, great and terrible above all that are round about him?
8 Ó Senhor Deus dos Exércitos, quem é poderoso como tu, Senhor, com a tua fidelidade ao redor de ti?
9 O LORD God of hosts, who is mighty as thou art, O LORD, with thy faithfulness round about thee?
9 Tu dominas o ímpeto do mar; quando as suas ondas se levantam, tu as fazes aquietar.
10 Thou dost rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, thou stillest them.
10 Tu quebraste a Raabe como se fora ferida de morte; espalhaste os teus inimigos com o teu braço forte.
11 Thou didst crush Rahab like a carcass, thou didst scatter thy enemies with thy mighty arm.
11 Teus são os céus, e tua é a terra; o mundo e a sua plenitude tu os fundaste.
12 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine; the world and all that is in it, thou hast founded them.
12 O norte e o sul tu os criaste; Tabor e Hermom jubilam em teu nome.
13 The north and the south, thou hast created them; Tabor and Hermon joyously praise thy name.
13 Tu tens um braço poderoso; forte é a tua mão, e alta está a tua destra.
14 Thou hast a mighty arm; strong is thy hand, high thy right hand.
14 Justiça e juízo são a base do teu trono; misericórdia e verdade irão adiante do teu rosto.
15 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of thy throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before thee.
15 Bem-aventurado o povo que conhece o som alegre; andará, ó Senhor, na luz da tua face.
16 Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance,
16 Em teu nome se alegrará todo o dia, e na tua justiça se exaltará.
17 who exult in thy name all the day, and extol thy righteousness.
17 Pois tu és a glória da sua força; e no teu favor será exaltado o nosso poder.
18 For thou art the glory of their strength; by thy favor our horn is exalted.
18 Porque o Senhor é a nossa defesa, e o Santo de Israel o nosso Rei.
19 For our shield belongs to the LORD, our king to the Holy One of Israel.
19 Então falaste em visão ao teu santo, e disseste: Pus o socorro sobre um que é poderoso; exaltei a um eleito do povo.
20 Of old thou didst speak in a vision to thy faithful one, and say: "I have set the crown upon one who is mighty, I have exalted one chosen from the people.
20 Achei a Davi, meu servo; com santo óleo o ungi,
21 I have found David, my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him;
21 Com o qual a minha mão ficará firme, e o meu braço o fortalecerá.
22 so that my hand shall ever abide with him, my arm also shall strengthen him.
22 O inimigo não o importunará, nem o filho da perversidade o afligirá.
23 The enemy shall not outwit him, the wicked shall not humble him.
23 E eu derrubarei os seus inimigos perante a sua face, e ferirei aos que o odeiam.
24 I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him.
24 E a minha fidelidade e a minha benignidade estarão com ele; e em meu nome será exaltado o seu poder.
25 My faithfulness and my steadfast love shall be with him, and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
25 Porei também a sua mão no mar, e a sua direita nos rios.
26 I will set his hand on the sea and his right hand on the rivers.
26 Ele me chamará, dizendo: Tu és meu pai, meu Deus, e a rocha da minha salvação.
27 He shall cry to me, `ou art my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.'
27 Também o farei meu primogênito mais elevado do que os reis da terra.
28 And I will make him the first-born, the highest of the kings of the earth.
28 A minha benignidade lhe conservarei eu para sempre, e a minha aliança lhe será firme,
29 My steadfast love I will keep for him for ever, and my covenant will stand firm for him.
29 E conservarei para sempre a sua semente, e o seu trono como os dias do céu.
30 I will establish his line for ever and his throne as the days of the heavens.
30 Se os seus filhos deixarem a minha lei, e não andarem nos meus juízos,
31 If his children forsake my law and do not walk according to my ordinances,
31 Se profanarem os meus preceitos, e não guardarem os meus mandamentos,
32 if they violate my statutes and do not keep my commandments,
32 Então visitarei a sua transgressão com a vara, e a sua iniqüidade com açoites.
33 then I will punish their transgression with the rod and their iniquity with scourges;
33 Mas não retirarei totalmente dele a minha benignidade, nem faltarei à minha fidelidade.
34 but I will not remove from him my steadfast love, or be false to my faithfulness.
34 Não quebrarei a minha aliança, não alterarei o que saiu dos meus lábios.
35 I will not violate my covenant, or alter the word that went forth from my lips.
35 Uma vez jurei pela minha santidade que não mentirei a Davi.
36 Once for all I have sworn by my holiness; I will not lie to David.
36 A sua semente durará para sempre, e o seu trono, como o sol diante de mim.
37 His line shall endure for ever, his throne as long as the sun before me.
37 Será estabelecido para sempre como a lua e como uma testemunha fiel no céu. (Selá.)
38 Like the moon it shall be established for ever; it shall stand firm while the skies endure." [Selah]
38 Mas tu rejeitaste e aborreceste; tu te indignaste contra o teu ungido.
39 But now thou hast cast off and rejected, thou art full of wrath against thy anointed.
39 Abominaste a aliança do teu servo; profanaste a sua coroa, lançando-a por terra.
40 Thou hast renounced the covenant with thy servant; thou hast defiled his crown in the dust.
40 Derrubaste todos os seus muros; arruinaste as suas fortificações.
41 Thou hast breached all his walls; thou hast laid his strongholds in ruins.
41 Todos os que passam pelo caminho o despojam; é um opróbrio para os seus vizinhos.
42 All that pass by despoil him; he has become the scorn of his neighbors.
42 Exaltaste a destra dos seus adversários; fizeste com que todos os seus inimigos se regozijassem.
43 Thou hast exalted the right hand of his foes; thou hast made all his enemies rejoice.
43 Também embotaste o fio da sua espada, e não o sustentaste na peleja.
44 Yea, thou hast turned back the edge of his sword, and thou hast not made him stand in battle.
44 Fizeste cessar a sua glória, e deitaste por terra o seu trono.
45 Thou hast removed the scepter from his hand, and cast his throne to the ground.
45 Abreviaste os dias da sua mocidade; cobriste-o de vergonha. (Selá.)
46 Thou hast cut short the days of his youth; thou hast covered him with shame. [Selah]
46 Até quando, Senhor? Acaso te esconderás para sempre? Arderá a tua ira como fogo?
47 How long, O LORD? Wilt thou hide thyself for ever? How long will thy wrath burn like fire?
47 Lembra-te de quão breves são os meus dias; por que criarias debalde todos os filhos dos homens?
48 Remember, O Lord, what the measure of life is, for what vanity thou hast created all the sons of men!
48 Que homem há, que viva, e não veja a morte? Livrará ele a sua alma do poder da sepultura? (Selá.)
49 What man can live and never see death? Who can deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? [Selah]
49 Senhor, onde estão as tuas antigas benignidades que juraste a Davi pela tua verdade?
50 Lord, where is thy steadfast love of old, which by thy faithfulness thou didst swear to David?
50 Lembra-te, Senhor, do opróbrio dos teus servos; como eu trago no meu peito o opróbrio de todos os povos poderosos,
51 Remember, O Lord, how thy servant is scorned; how I bear in my bosom the insults of the peoples,
51 Com o qual, Senhor, os teus inimigos têm difamado, com o qual têm difamado as pisadas do teu ungido.
52 with which thy enemies taunt, O LORD, with which they mock the footsteps of thy anointed. [ (Psalms 89:53) Blessed be the LORD for ever! Amen and Amen. ]
