1 David and the chiefs of the service also set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jedu'thun, who should prophesy with lyres, with harps, and with cymbals. The list of those who did the work and of their duties was:
1 E Davi, juntamente com os capitães do exército, separou para o ministério os filhos de Asafe, e de Hemã, e de Jedutum, para profetizarem com harpas, com címbalos, e com saltérios; e este foi o número dos homens aptos para a obra do seu ministério:
2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethani'ah, and Ashare'lah, sons of Asaph, under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the direction of the king.
2 Dos filhos de Asafe: Zacur, José, Netanias, e Asarela, filhos de Asafe; a cargo de Asafe, que profetizava debaixo das ordens do rei Davi.
3 Of Jedu'thun, the sons of Jedu'thun: Gedali'ah, Zeri, Jeshai'ah, Shim'e-i, Hashabi'ah, and Mattithi'ah, six, under the direction of their father Jedu'thun, who prophesied with the lyre in thanksgiving and praise to the LORD.
3 Quanto a Jedutum, os filhos: Gedalias, Zeri, Jesaías, Hasabias, e Matitias, seis, a cargo de seu pai, Jedutum, o qual profetizava com a harpa, louvando e dando graças ao Senhor.
4 Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukki'ah, Mattani'ah, Uz'ziel, Shebu'el, and Jer'imoth, Hanani'ah, Hana'ni, Eli'athah, Giddal'ti, and Romam'ti-e'zer, Joshbekash'ah, Mallo'thi, Hothir, Maha'zi-oth.
4 Quanto a Hemã, os filhos: Buquias, Matanias, Uziel, Sebuel, Jerimote, Hananias, Hanani, Eliata, Gidalti, Romanti-Ezer, Josbecasa, Maloti, Hotir, e Maaziote.
5 All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer, according to the promise of God to exalt him; for God had given Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
5 Todos estes foram filhos de Hemã, o vidente do rei nas palavras de Deus, para exaltar o seu poder; porque Deus dera a Hemã catorze filhos e três filhas.
6 They were all under the direction of their father in the music in the house of the LORD with cymbals, harps, and lyres for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jedu'thun, and Heman were under the order of the king.
6 Todos estes estavam sob a direção de seu pai, para a música da casa do Senhor, com saltérios, címbalos e harpas, para o ministério da casa de Deus; e Asafe, Jedutum, e Hemã, estavam sob as ordens do rei.
7 The number of them along with their brethren, who were trained in singing to the LORD, all who were skilful, was two hundred and eighty-eight.
7 E era o número deles, juntamente com seus irmãos instruídos no canto ao Senhor, todos eles mestres, duzentos e oitenta e oito.
8 And they cast lots for their duties, small and great, teacher and pupil alike.
8 E deitaram sortes acerca da guarda igualmente, assim o pequeno como o grande, o mestre juntamente com o discípulo.
9 The first lot fell for Asaph to Joseph; the second to Gedali'ah, to him and his brethren and his sons, twelve;
9 Saiu, pois, a primeira sorte a Asafe, a saber a José; a segunda a Gedalias; e ele, e seus irmãos, e seus filhos, ao todo eram doze.
10 the third to Zaccur, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
10 A terceira a Zacur, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze.
11 the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
11 A quarta a Izri, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze.
12 the fifth to Nethani'ah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
12 A quinta a Netanias, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze.
13 the sixth to Bukki'ah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
13 A sexta a Buquias, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze.
14 the seventh to Jeshare'lah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
14 A sétima a Jesarela, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze.
15 the eighth to Jeshai'ah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
15 A oitava a Jesaías, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze.
16 the ninth to Mattani'ah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
16 A nona a Matanias, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze.
17 the tenth to Shim'e-i, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

18 the eleventh to Az'arel, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
18 A undécima a Azareel, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze.
19 the twelfth to Hashabi'ah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
19 A duodécima a Hasabias, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze.
20 to the thirteenth, Shu'ba-el, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
20 A décima terceira a Subael, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze.
21 to the fourteenth, Mattithi'ah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
21 A décima quarta a Matitias, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze.
22 to the fifteenth, to Jer'emoth, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
22 A décima quinta a Jeremote, seus filhos, e seus irmãos, doze.
23 to the sixteenth, to Hanani'ah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
