1 The lovingkindnesses of Yahweh, age-abidingly will I sing, To generation after generation, will I make known thy faithfulness with my mouth.
1 Cantarei para sempre o teu amor, ó S enhor ! Anunciarei a tua fidelidade a todas as gerações.
2 For I said, To times age-abiding, shall lovingkindness be built up, As for the heavens, thou wilt establish thy faithfulness therein.
2 Pois sei que o teu amor dura para sempre, e a tua fidelidade permanece firme como os céus.
3 I have solemnised a covenant, for my chosen one, I have sworn unto David my servant:
3 Tu disseste: “Fiz uma aliança com Davi, meu servo escolhido. A ele fiz este juramento:
4 Unto times age-abiding, will I establish thy seed, And will build up, unto generation after generation, thy throne. Selah.
4 ‘Estabelecerei seus descendentes como reis para sempre; eles se sentarão em seu trono de geração em geração’”. Interlúdio
5 So shall the heavens praise thy wondrousness, O Yahweh,Yea, thy faithfulness, in the convocation of holy ones.
5 Ó S enhor , os céus louvam as tuas maravilhas; multidões de anjos te exaltam por tua fidelidade.
6 For whom, in the skies, can one compare unto Yahweh? can one liken unto Yahweh, among the sons of the mighty?
6 Pois quem nos céus se compara ao S enhor ? Quem é semelhante ao S
7 A GOD inspiring awe in the circle of the holy ones, exceedingly, And to be reverenced above all who are round about him.
7 Os mais altos poderes angelicais reverenciam a Deus; ele é mais temível que todos que rodeiam seu trono.
8 O Yahweh, God of hosts! Who, like thee, is mighty, O Yah! With thy faithfulness round about thee:
8 Ó S enhor , Deus dos Exércitos, quem é poderoso como tu, S Tu és totalmente fiel!
9 Thou, rulest over the swelling of the sea, When the rolling waves thereof lift themselves, Thou, dost bid them be still:
9 Governas os mares revoltos e acalmas as ondas agitadas.
10 Thou, hast crushedas one slainRahab, With thy strong arm, hast thou scattered thy foes.
10 Esmagaste o grande monstro marinho; com o teu braço poderoso, dispersaste teus inimigos.
11 Thine, are the heavens, Yea, thine, the earth, The world and the fulness thereof, Thou, didst found them;
11 Os céus são teus, a terra é tua, tudo que há no mundo pertence a ti; tu fizeste todas as coisas.
12 The north and the south, Thou, didst create them,Tabor and Hermon, with thy Name, shall shout for joy:
12 Criaste o norte e o sul; o monte Tabor e o monte Hermom louvam o teu nome.
13 Thine is an arm with might, Strong is thy hand, High is thy right hand;
13 Teu braço é poderoso! Tua mão é forte! Tua mão direita se levanta com força gloriosa.
14 Righteousness and justice, are the establishing of thy throne, Lovingkindness and faithfulness, go before thy face.
14 Justiça e retidão são os alicerces do teu trono, amor e verdade vão à tua frente.
15 How happy are the people who know the joyful sound! O Yahweh! in the light of thy countenance, shall they firmly march along;
15 Feliz é o povo que ouve o alegre chamado para adorar, pois andará na luz de tua presença, S
16 In thy Name, shall they exult all the day, And, in thy righteousness, shall they be exalted.
16 O dia todo eles se alegram em teu nome e exultam em tua justiça.
17 For, the beauty of their strength, thou art, And, in thine acceptance, shall our horns be exalted.
17 Tu és a força gloriosa deles; é do teu agrado nos fortalecer.
18 For, to Yahweh, belongeth our Shield, And, to the Holy One of Israel, belongeth our King.
18 Sim, nossa proteção vem do S enhor ; ele, o Santo de Israel, nos deu nosso rei.
19 Then spakest thou in vision of thy men of lovingkindness, and saidstI have laid help upon a mighty one, I have exalted one chosen from among the people;
19 Muito tempo atrás, numa visão, falaste a teus fiéis e disseste: “Levantei um guerreiro; dentre o povo o escolhi para ser rei.
20 I have found David my servant, With mine own holy oil, have I anointed him;
20 Encontrei meu servo Davi e o ungi com meu santo óleo.
21 With whom my hand shall be firm, Yea, mine arm, shall strengthen him;
21 Com minha mão o firmarei, com meu braço o fortalecerei.
22 No foe shall make exactions on him, Nor shall, a son of perversity, humiliate him;
22 Seus inimigos não o derrotarão, os perversos não o dominarão.
23 And I will shatter, from before him, his adversaries, And, them who hate him, will I smite;
23 Esmagarei seus adversários diante dele, destruirei aqueles que o odeiam.
24 And, my faithfulness and my lovingkindness, shall be with him, And, in my Name, exalted shall be his horn;
24 Minha fidelidade e meu amor o acompanharão; em meu nome, ele crescerá em poder.
25 And I will set, in the sea, his hand, And, in the rivers, his right hand;
25 Estenderei seu governo sobre o mar, seu domínio, sobre os rios.
26 He, shall cry out unto me, My Father, thou art, My GOD, and my Rock of Salvation!
26 Ele me dirá: ‘Tu és meu Pai, meu Deus e a Rocha de minha salvação’.
27 Yea, I, will appoint him, firstborn, Most High to the kings of the earth!
27 Darei a ele os privilégios de filho mais velho, e ele será o rei mais poderoso da terra.
28 Age-abidingly, will I keep for him my lovingkindness, And, my covenant, hath been made steadfast for him;
28 Eu o amarei e lhe serei bondoso para sempre; minha aliança com ele jamais será quebrada.
29 Therefore will I appoint, to futurity, his seed, And his throne as the days of the heavens.
29 Farei que ele sempre tenha herdeiros; enquanto existirem os céus, seu trono não terá fim.
30 If his sons forsake my law, And, in my regulations, do not walk;
30 Se, porém, seus descendentes abandonarem minha lei e não seguirem meus estatutos,
31 If, my statutes, they profane, And, my commandments, do not keep:
31 se não obedecerem aos meus decretos e não guardarem meus mandamentos,
32 Then will I punish, with a rod, their transgression; And, with stripes, their iniquity:
32 castigarei seu pecado com a vara e sua desobediência, com açoites.
33 But, my lovingkindness, will I not frustrate from them, Neither will I falsify my faithfulness;
33 Contudo, não desistirei de amá-lo, nem deixarei de lhe ser fiel.
34 I will not violate my covenant, And that which hath proceeded out of my lips, will I not alter:
34 Não quebrarei minha aliança, não voltarei atrás em minhas palavras.
35 One thing, have I sworn by my holiness, Verily, to David, will I not lie;
35 Fiz um juramento a Davi e, em minha santidade, não minto.
36 His seed, age-abidingly, shall remain, And, his throne, be like the sun before me;
36 Sua dinastia continuará para sempre, seu reino permanecerá como o sol.
37 Like the moon, shall it be established unto times age-abiding, And, a witness, in the skies, hath been made sure. Selah.
37 Será duradouro como a lua, minha fiel testemunha no céu”. Interlúdio
38 Yet, thou thyself, hast cast off, and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with thine Anointed One!
38 Agora, porém, tu o rejeitaste e o descartaste; estás irado com o teu ungido.
39 Thou hast cast down the covenant of thy Servant, Thou hast profaned, to the earth, his crown;
39 Renunciaste tua aliança com ele e jogaste sua coroa no pó.
40 Thou hast broken down all his defenses, Thou hast laid his fortresses in ruins;
40 Derrubaste os muros que o protegiam e destruíste as fortalezas que o defendiam.
41 All the passers by the way, have plundered him, He hath become a reproach to his neighbours;
41 Todos que por ali passam o saqueiam, e ele se tornou motivo de zombaria para seus vizinhos.
42 Thou hast raised the right hand of his adversaries, Thou hast gladdened all his enemies;
42 Tu fortaleceste seus inimigos e lhes deste razão para celebrar.
43 Yea thou hast turned the edge of his sword, Neither hast thou caused him to stand in the battle;
43 Tornaste inútil sua espada e não o ajudaste na batalha.
44 Thou hast brought to an end his splendour, And, his throneto the ground, hast thou hurled;
44 Acabaste com seu esplendor e derrubaste seu trono.
45 Thou hast shortened the days of his youths,Thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
45 Fizeste-o envelhecer antes do tempo e o envergonhaste em público. Interlúdio
46 How long, O Yahweh, Wilt thou hide thyself utterly? Shall thine indignation, burn like fire?
46 Até quando, S enhor , esta situação continuará? Acaso te esconderás para sempre? Até quando tua ira arderá como fogo?
47 Remember how short-lived, I, am, Wherefore, in vain, hast thou created all the sons of Adam?
47 Lembra-te de como minha vida é curta, de como é vazia a existência humana!
48 Who is the man that shall live, and not see death? That can deliver his soul from the hand of hades. Selah.
48 Ninguém vive para sempre, todos morrem; ninguém escapa das garras da sepultura. Interlúdio
49 Where are thy former lovingkindnesses, O My Lord? Thou didst swear unto David, in thy faithfulness!
49 Onde está, Senhor, o teu antigo amor? Tu o prometeste a Davi com um juramento fiel.
50 Remember, O My Lord, the reproach of thy servants, I have carried in my bosom the insult of the peoples:
50 Considera, Senhor, como teus servos passam vergonha; levo no coração os insultos de muitos.
51 In that thy foes have reproached, O Yahweh, In that they have reproached the footsteps of thine Anointed One!
51 Teus inimigos, S enhor , têm zombado de mim; zombam do teu ungido por onde ele vai.
52 Blessed be Yahweh to times age-abiding, Amen, and Amen!
52 Louvado seja o S enhor para sempre! Amém e amém!
