Rotherham Version (ROTH) vs BKJ
1 Give ear, O my people, to mine instruction, Bend your ear to the sayings of my mouth;
1 Masquil de Asafe. Dai ouvidos, ó meu povo, à minha lei; inclinai teus ouvidos às palavras da minha boca.
2 I will open, in a parable, my mouth, I will pour forth enigmas out of antiquity;
2 Abrirei a minha boca numa parábola; proferirei obscuros provérbios de antigamente.
3 Which we have heard, and come to know, And, our fathers, have recounted to us;
3 Os quais ouvimos e conhecemos, e nossos pais nos contaram.
4 We will not withhold from their children, To a later generation, recounting the praises of Yahweh, Even his might and his wonders which he wrought;
4 Nós não os esconderemos de seus filhos, mostrando à geração que está por vir os louvores do SENHOR, e a sua força, e as suas obras maravilhosas que ele fez.
5 When he set up a testimony in Jacob, And, a law, appointed in Israel,Which he commanded our fathers, That they might make them known to their children;
5 Pois ele estabeleceu um testemunho em Jacó, e nomeou uma lei em Israel, a qual ele comandou aos nossos pais, de que eles deveriam fazê-la conhecida a seus filhos.
6 To the end, A later generation, might come m know, Children who should be born, Who should arise, and recount to their children;
6 Que a geração futura possa conhecê-las, até mesmo as crianças que viriam a nascer; que deveriam se levantar e declará-las a seus filhos.
7 That they might set, in Elohim, their confidence,And not forget the doings of El, But, his commandments, might observe;
7 Para que eles pusessem a sua esperança em Deus, e não esquecessem as obras de Deus, mas guardassem os seus mandamentos.
8 And not become, like their fathers, a generation stubborn and rebellious,A generation that fixed not their heart, Neither was their spirit, faithful with GOD.
8 E que não fossem como seus pais, uma geração teimosa e rebelde; uma geração que não pôs o seu coração corretamente, e cujo espírito não estava firme com Deus.
9 The sons of Ephraimarmed bowmen, Turned in the day of battle;
9 Os filhos de Efraim, armados e carregando arcos, se voltaram no dia da batalha.
10 They kept not the covenant of God, And, in his law, refused to walk;
10 Eles não mantiveram o pacto de Deus, e se recusaram a andar na sua lei.
11 And forgat His doings, And his wonders which he had showed them:
11 E se esqueceram das suas obras, e das suas maravilhas que ele havia lhes mostrado.
12 In presence of their fathers, wrought he, wondrously,In the land of Egyptthe field of Zoan:
12 Coisas maravilhosas fez ele à vista de seus pais, na terra do Egito, no campo de Zoã.
13 He clave the sea, and caused them to pass through, And reared up the waters like a mound;
13 Ele dividiu o mar, e os fez passar através, e fez as águas ficarem de pé como que amontoadas.
14 And led them, by a cloud, in the daytime, And all the night, by a light of fire;
14 Durante o dia também os guiou com uma nuvem, e toda a noite com uma luz de fogo.
15 He used to cleave rocks in the desert, And let them drink as out of mighty deeps;
15 Ele fendeu as rochas no deserto, e deu-lhes bebida como de grandes profundidades.
16 And he brought forth streams out of the cliff, And caused waters to flow down, like rivers.
16 Ele também fez brotar riachos da rocha, e fez as águas correrem como rios.
17 But again, once more sinned they against him, Resisting the Most High in a land of drought:
17 E eles pecaram ainda mais contra ele, provocando o Altíssimo no deserto.
18 They put GOD to the proof in their heart, By asking food to their mind:
18 E eles tentaram a Deus em seu coração, pedindo carne para o seu desejo.
19 Yea they spake against Elohim,They said, Can GOD prepare a table in the desert?
19 Sim, falaram contra Deus; eles disseram: Pode Deus preparar uma mesa no deserto?
20 Lo! he hath smitten a rock, And waters, have gushed out, Yea, torrents, have rushed along,Food also, can he give? Or provide flesh for his people?
20 Eis que ele feriu a rocha, de onde as águas jorravam, e os riachos transbordaram; pode ele dar pão também? Pode ele prover carne para o seu povo?
21 Therefore, Yahweh hearkened, and became wroth,And, a fire, was kindled against Jacob, Moreover also, anger, mounted against Israel;
21 Portanto o SENHOR ouviu isto, e ficou irado; então um fogo se acendeu contra Jacó, e a ira também veio contra Israel.
22 Because, They believed not in God, Nor trusted in his salvation;
22 Porque eles não acreditaram em Deus, e não confiaram na sua salvação;
23 Though he had commanded the skies above, And, the doors of the heavens, had opened;
23 embora ele tivesse ordenado às nuvens lá de cima, e aberto as portas do céu.
24 And had rained on them manna to eat, And, the corn of the heavens, had given to them:
24 E choveu maná sobre eles para comerem, e lhes deu o trigo do céu.
25 The food of the mighty, each one did eat, Nourishment, sent he them to the full;
25 O homem comeu da comida dos anjos; ele lhes enviou alimento para que ficassem cheios.
26 He let loose an east wind in the heavens, Then guided he, in his might, a south wind;
26 Ele fez um vento leste soprar no céu, e pelo seu poder ele trouxe o vento do sul.
27 And rained upon them flesh as the dust, And, like the sand of the seas, birds of wing;
27 Ele também fez chover sobre eles carne como a poeira, e aves de asas como as areias do mar.
28 And let them fall in the midst of their camp,Round about their habitations.
28 E ele a fez cair no meio do seu acampamento, ao redor de suas habitações.
29 So they did eat and were abundantly filled, When, what they longed for, he had brought them:
29 Então eles comeram, e foram bem servidos; porquanto ele lhes deu o seu próprio desejo;
30 They had not turned away from what they had longed for, Yet was their food in their mouth,
30 eles não se afastaram do seu desejo. Mas, enquanto a carne ainda estava em suas bocas;
31 When, the anger of God, mounted against them, And he slew of their vigorous youths, And, the choice young men of Israel, caused he to bow down in death.
31 a ira de Deus veio sobre eles, e matou os mais gordos deles, e feriu os homens escolhidos de Israel.
32 For all this, sinned they still, And believed not in his wonders;
32 Por tudo isto eles ainda pecaram, e não creram nas suas maravilhosas obras.
33 So he ended, in a breath, their days, And their years, in a sudden terror!
33 Por isso ele consumiu os seus dias em vaidade, e os seus anos em tribulação.
34 If he slew them, then they sought him, Yea they turned, and did earnestly seek GOD;
34 Quando ele os matava, então eles os buscaram; e eles se voltaram e chamavam cedo por Deus.
35 And remembered that, Elohim, was their rock, Yea, EL Most High, their Redeemer:
35 E se lembraram de que Deus era a sua rocha, e o alto Deus, seu redentor.
36 So they spake him fair with their mouth, And, with their tongue, did promise him falsely;
36 Mesmo assim eles os lisonjearam com a sua boca, e mentiram a ele com a sua língua.
37 But, their heart, was not fixed with him, Nor were they trusty in his covenant:
37 Pois o seu coração não estava certo com ele, nem estavam eles firmes no seu pacto.
38 Yet, he, full of compassion, would put a propitiatory-covering over iniquity, and not destroy,Yea, many a time, turned he back his anger, And would not stir up all his wrath.
38 Mas ele, sendo cheio de compaixão, perdoou sua iniquidade, e não os destruiu; sim, muitas vezes desviou a sua ira, e não agitou toda a sua cólera.
39 So then he remembered, That, Flesh, they were, A Wind departing, that returneth not.
39 Pois se lembrara de que eles eram apenas de carne; um vento que passa, e não volta novamente.
40 How often they, Resisted him in the desert, Vexed him, in the waste:
40 Quão frequentemente eles o provocaram no deserto, e o afligiram no deserto!
41 Yea they again put GOD to the test, And, to the Holy One of Israel, caused they sorrow:
41 Sim, eles viraram as costas e tentaram a Deus, e limitaram o Santo de Israel.
42 They remembered not his handThe day, When he ransomed them from the adversary;
42 Eles não se lembraram da sua mão, nem do dia em que ele os livrou do inimigo.
43 When he set, in Egypt, his signs, And his wonders, in the plain of Zoan;
43 de como ele havia operado seus sinais no Egito, e as suas maravilhas no campo de Zoã.
44 When he turned, into blood, their Nile-streams, And, their own rivers, could they not drink;
44 E havia transformado seus rios em sangue; e suas enchentes, para que não pudessem beber.
45 He sent among them, The gad-fly, and it devoured them, And the frog, and it despoiled them;
45 Ele enviou diversos tipos de moscas entre eles, que os devoraram; e rãs que os destruíram.
46 When he gave to the corn-locust their produce, And their toil, to the swarming locust;
46 Ele também deu os seus incrementos à lagarta, e o seu trabalho à locusta.
47 He killed, with hail, their vine, And their sycomores, with frost:
47 Ele destruiu as suas vinhas com granizo, e os seus sicômoros com a geada.
48 When he gave up, to hail-storms, their beasts, And their cattle, to pestilent fevers;
48 Ele também entregou o seu gado ao granizo, e os seus rebanhos aos quentes relâmpagos.
49 He sent among them the heat of his anger, Wrath and indignation and distress,A mission of messengers of misfortune:
49 Lançou sobre eles a ferocidade de sua raiva, ira e indignação, e tribulação, enviando anjos maus entre eles.
50 He leveled a path for his anger, Withheld not, from death, their soul, But, their lifeto the pestilence, he delivered:
50 Ele preparou um caminho para sua ira; não poupou a sua alma da morte, mas deu-lhes a sua vida para a peste.
51 So he smote, Every first-born in Egypt, The beginning of their strength, in the tents of Ham;
51 E feriu todos os primogênitos do Egito; o chefe da sua força nos tabernáculos de Cam.
52 And he set forth, like sheep, his people, And guided them, like a flock in the desert;
52 Todavia fez o seu próprio povo ir adiante como ovelhas, e os guiou no deserto como um rebanho.
53 Yea he led them securely, and they dreaded not, And, their enemies, the sea did cover.
53 E os guiou em segurança para que eles não temessem; mas o mar submergiu os seus inimigos.
54 Then brought he them within his own holy bounds, The mountain-range, which his right hand made his own:
54 E os trouxe para a fronteira do seu santuário, até o seu monte, que a sua mão direita havia adquirido.
55 So he drave out, before them, nations, And allotted them, by line, an inheritance, And caused to dwell, in their own homes, the tribes of Israel.
55 Ele também expulsou os pagãos diante deles, e dividiu entre eles uma herança por linha, e fez as tribos de Israel habitarem em suas tendas.
56 But they tested and resisted God Most High, And, his testimonies, did not observe;
56 Contudo, eles tentaram e provocaram o Deus Altíssimo, e não guardaram os seus testemunhos.
57 But drew back and dealt treacherously, like their fathers, They turned aside, like deceitful bowmen;
57 Mas viraram as costas, e agiram infielmente como seus pais; eles estavam virados como um arco enganoso.
58 And provoked him to anger with their high places, And, with their images, used to move him to jealousy.
58 Pois o provocaram à ira com os seus lugares altos, e o levaram ao ciúme com suas imagens esculpidas.
59 God heard and was wroth, And greatly abhorred Israel;
59 Quando Deus ouviu isto, ele ficou irado, e abominou Israel grandemente.
60 So he gave up the habitation of Shiloh, The tent he had set up among Men;
60 Tanto que ele abandonou o tabernáculo de Siló, a tenda que ele colocou entre os homens.
61 Yea he gave up, into captivity, his strength, And his beauty into the hand of an adversary;
61 E entregou a sua força ao cativeiro, e a sua glória nas mãos do inimigo.
62 And delivered up, to the sword, his people, And, with his own inheritance, was he wroth;
62 Ele também entregou o seu povo à espada; e irou-se com a sua herança.
63 His young men, were devoured by fire, And, his virgins, were not praised in song;
63 O fogo consumiu os seus jovens, e as suas donzelas não foram dadas em casamento.
64 His priests, by the sword, did fall, And, his widows, were not able to bewail.
64 Seus sacerdotes caíram à espada, e as suas viúvas não lamentaram.
65 Then awoke, as one that had slept, Adonay, As a warrior exulting with wine!
65 Mas então, como quem acorda do sono, e como um homem poderoso que brada por causa do vinho, despertou o Senhor.
66 So he smote his adversaries in the rear, Reproach age-abiding, laid he upon them.
66 E feriu os seus inimigos nas partes de trás; ele os pôs à vergonha perpétua.
67 Howbeit he rejected the tent of Joseph, And, the tribe of Ephraim, did not choose:
67 Além disso, ele recusou o tabernáculo de José, e não escolheu a tribo de Efraim.
68 But made choice of the tribe of Judah, The mountain of Zion, which he loved;
68 Mas escolheu a tribo de Judá, o monte Sião que ele amava.
69 And built, like the heights, his sanctuary, Like the earth, he founded it to times age-abiding.
69 E construiu seu santuário como palácios altos, como a terra que ele estabeleceu para sempre.
70 And made choice of David his servant, And took him from among the folds of the sheep:
70 Ele também escolheu a Davi o seu servo, e o tirou dos currais;
71 From after the sucking ewes, he brought him in,To be shepherd to Jacob his people, And to Israel, his inheritance.
71 de seguir as ovelhas com as suas crias, ele o trouxe para alimentar Jacó, seu povo, e a Israel a sua herança.
72 So he did shepherd them, according to the singleness of his heart, And, with the discernment of his hands, used he to guide them.
72 Então ele os alimentou segundo a integridade do seu coração; e os guiou pela habilidade das suas mãos.
