1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all the earth;
1 Que todos os povos louvem a Deus com gritos de alegria!
2 Praise ye in song the glory of his Name, Celebrate the glory of his praise:
2 Cantem hinos de louvor a ele; ofereçam a ele louvores
3 Say unto GodHow fearful in thy doings, Through the abounding of thy power, shall thy foes come cringing unto thee;
3 Digam isto a Deus: “Como são espantosas as coisas que fazes! O teu poder é tão grande, que os teus inimigos ficam com medo e se curvam diante de ti.
4 All the earth, shall bow themselves down to thee, And sing praises unto thee,. Shall praise in song thy Name. Selah.
4 O mundo inteiro te adora e canta louvores a ti; todos cantam hinos em tua honra.”
5 Come and see the doings of God,Fearful in deed toward the sons of men:
5 Venham e vejam o que Deus tem feito, vejam com espanto as coisas que ele tem feito em favor das pessoas.
6 He turned the sea into dry land, Through the stream, crossed they over on foot, There did we rejoice in him:
6 Ele mudou o mar em terra seca, e os nossos antepassados atravessaram o rio a pé. Ali nos alegramos com o que ele fez.
7 Who ruleth, in his might, unto times age abiding, His eyes, over the nations, keep watch, The rebellious, let them not exalt themselves. Selah.
7 Pelo seu poder, ele governa para sempre, e os seus olhos vigiam as nações. Que ninguém se revolte contra Deus!
8 Bless our God, O ye peoples, And cause to he heard, the sound of his praise;
8 Que todas as nações louvem o nosso Deus! Que cantem hinos de louvor em voz alta!
9 Who hath set our soul among the living, And hath not suffered, our foot, to slip.
9 Ele nos tem mantido vivos e não nos tem deixado cair.
10 For thou didst prove us, O God, Thou didst refine us, according to the refining of silver:
10 Ó Deus, tu nos puseste à prova. Como a prata é provada pelo fogo, assim nos provaste.
11 Thou didst bring us into the hunters net, Thou didst lay a load upon our loins;
11 Tu nos deixaste cair numa armadilha e colocaste cargas pesadas nas nossas costas.
12 Thou didst let men ride at our head; We went into fire and into water, But thou didst bring us forth into freedom.
12 Deixaste que os nossos inimigos nos pisassem. Passamos pelo fogo e pela água, mas agora nos trouxeste para um lugar seguro.
13 I will enter thy house with ascending-sacrifices, I will pay unto thee my vows,
13 Levarei à tua casa os sacrifícios que devem ser completamente queimados; eu te darei o que te prometi.
14 Which my lips uttered, And my mouth spake, in my distress.
14 Aquilo que prometi, quando estava em aflição, isso mesmo te darei.
15 Ascending-sacrifices of fatlings, will I cause to ascend unto thee, With the perfume of rams, I will offer bulls, with he-goats. Selah.
15 Levarei ovelhas para serem queimadas no altar; oferecerei sacrifícios de touros e cabritos, e a fumaça subirá até o céu.
16 Come! hearkenthat I may recount, all ye reverers of God, What he hath done for my soul:
16 Todos vocês que temem a Deus , venham e escutem, e eu contarei o que ele tem feito por mim.
17 Unto himwith my mouth, did I cry, And high praise was under my tongue.
17 Eu gritei, pedindo a sua ajuda; então o louvei com hinos.
18 If, iniquity, I had cared for in my heart, My Lord, had not heard me!
18 Mas, se eu tivesse guardado maus pensamentos no coração, o Senhor não teria me ouvido.
19 But in truth, God hath heard, He hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
19 Porém Deus, de fato, me ouviu e respondeu à minha oração.
20 Blessed be God, Who hath not turned away my prayer, Nor his own lovingkindness from me.
20 Eu louvo a Deus porque ele não deixou de ouvir a minha oração e nunca me negou o seu amor.
