1 Praise ye Yah, For it is good, to make melody to our GOD,For it is delightful, seemly is praise!
1 Aleluia! Como é bom cantar louvores ao nosso Deus! Como é agradável e próprio louvá-lo!
2 Yahweh, is building Jerusalem, The outcasts of Israel, will he gather together.
2 O Senhor edifica Jerusalém; ele reúne os exilados de Israel.
3 He is healing the broken in heart,and binding up their hurts.
3 Só ele cura os de coração quebrantado e cuida das suas feridas.
4 Counting the number of the stars, To all of themnames, he giveth.
4 Ele determina o número de estrelas e chama cada uma pelo nome.
5 Great is our Lord, and of abounding strength, And, his knowledge, cannot be expressed.
5 Grande é o nosso Soberano e tremendo é o seu poder; é impossível medir o seu entendimento.
6 Yahweh, relieveth the humbled! casting the lawless down to the earth.
6 O Senhor sustém o oprimido, mas lança por terra o ímpio.
7 Respond to Yahweh with thanksgiving, Make melody to our God with the lyre.
7 Cantem ao Senhor com ações de graças; ao som da harpa façam música para o nosso Deus.
8 Who covereth the heavens with clouds, preparing rain for the earth, who causeth the mountains to sprout grass:
8 Ele cobre o céu de nuvens, concede chuvas à terra e faz crescer a relva nas colinas.
9 Giving, to the beast, its food, to the young ravens, when they cry.
9 Ele dá alimento aos animais, e aos filhotes dos corvos quando gritam de fome.
10 Not in the strength of the horse, doth he delight, Not in the legs of a man, hath he pleasure:
10 Não é a força do cavalo que lhe dá satisfação, nem é a agilidade do homem que lhe agrada;
11 Yahweh, hath pleasure, in them who revere him, in them who wait for his lovingkindness.
11 o Senhor se agrada dos que o temem, dos que colocam a esperança no seu amor leal.
12 Laud thou, O Jerusalem, Yahweh, Praise thy God, O Zion:
12 Exalte ao Senhor, ó Jerusalém! Louve o seu Deus, ó Sião,
13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates, He hath blessed thy children in thy midst:
13 pois ele reforçou as trancas de suas portas e abençoou o seu povo, que lá habita.
14 Who maketh thy boundaries to be peace, With the marrow of wheat, doth he satisfy thee:
14 É ele que mantém as suas fronteiras em segurança e que a supre do melhor do trigo.
15 Who sendeth his utterance to the earth, How swiftly, runneth his word!
15 Ele envia sua ordem à terra, e sua palavra corre veloz.
16 Who giveth snow like wool, Hoar-frostlike ashes, he scattereth:
16 Faz cair a neve como lã, e espalha a geada como cinza.
17 Casting forth his ice like crumbs, Before his cold, who can stand?
17 Faz cair o gelo como se fosse pedra. Quem pode suportar o seu frio?
18 He sendeth forth his word and melteth them, He causeth his wind to blow, the waters, stream along:
18 Ele envia a sua palavra, e o gelo derrete; envia o seu sopro, e as águas tornam a correr.
19 Declaring his word unto Jacob, His statutes and his regulations, unto Israel.
19 Ele revela a sua palavra a Jacó, os seus decretos e ordenanças a Israel.
20 He hath not dealt so with any nation, and, his regulations, he maketh not known to them. Praise ye Yah!
20 Ele não fez isso a nenhuma outra nação; todas as outras desconhecem as suas ordenanças. Aleluia!
