1 Praise ye Yah, For it is good, to make melody to our GOD,For it is delightful, seemly is praise!
1 Aleluia! Bom e amável é cantar louvores ao nosso Deus; fica-lhe bem o cântico de louvor.
2 Yahweh, is building Jerusalem, The outcasts of Israel, will he gather together.
2 O Senhor edifica Jerusalém e congrega os dispersos de Israel.
3 He is healing the broken in heart,and binding up their hurts.
3 Ele sara os que têm o coração quebrantado e trata das feridas deles.
4 Counting the number of the stars, To all of themnames, he giveth.
4 Conta o número das estrelas, chamando-as todas pelo seu nome.
5 Great is our Lord, and of abounding strength, And, his knowledge, cannot be expressed.
5 Grande é o Senhor nosso e mui poderoso; o seu entendimento não se pode medir.
6 Yahweh, relieveth the humbled! casting the lawless down to the earth.
6 O Senhor ampara os humildes, mas faz com que os ímpios caiam por terra.
7 Respond to Yahweh with thanksgiving, Make melody to our God with the lyre.
7 Cantem ao Senhor com ações de graças; ao som da harpa, cantem louvores ao nosso Deus,
8 Who covereth the heavens with clouds, preparing rain for the earth, who causeth the mountains to sprout grass:
8 que cobre de nuvens o céu, prepara a chuva para a terra, faz brotar nos montes a erva
9 Giving, to the beast, its food, to the young ravens, when they cry.
9 e dá o alimento aos animais e aos filhos dos corvos, quando clamam.
10 Not in the strength of the horse, doth he delight, Not in the legs of a man, hath he pleasure:
10 Não faz caso da força do cavalo, nem se compraz nos músculos do guerreiro.
11 Yahweh, hath pleasure, in them who revere him, in them who wait for his lovingkindness.
11 O Senhor se agrada dos que o temem e dos que esperam na sua misericórdia.
12 Laud thou, O Jerusalem, Yahweh, Praise thy God, O Zion:
12 Louve o Senhor , ó Jerusalém! Louve o seu Deus, ó Sião!
13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates, He hath blessed thy children in thy midst:
13 Pois ele reforçou as trancas dos seus portões e abençoou os que habitam em seu meio.
14 Who maketh thy boundaries to be peace, With the marrow of wheat, doth he satisfy thee:
14 Estabeleceu a paz em seu território e farta você com o melhor do trigo.
15 Who sendeth his utterance to the earth, How swiftly, runneth his word!
15 Ele envia as suas ordens à terra, e sua palavra corre velozmente.
16 Who giveth snow like wool, Hoar-frostlike ashes, he scattereth:
16 Faz cair a neve como lã e espalha a geada como cinza.
17 Casting forth his ice like crumbs, Before his cold, who can stand?
17 Faz cair o seu gelo como se fossem migalhas; quem pode resistir ao seu frio?
18 He sendeth forth his word and melteth them, He causeth his wind to blow, the waters, stream along:
18 Manda a sua palavra e o gelo se derrete; faz soprar o vento, e as águas correm.
19 Declaring his word unto Jacob, His statutes and his regulations, unto Israel.
19 Anuncia a sua palavra a Jacó, as suas leis e os seus preceitos, a Israel.
20 He hath not dealt so with any nation, and, his regulations, he maketh not known to them. Praise ye Yah!
20 Não fez assim com nenhuma outra nação; todas ignoram os seus preceitos. Aleluia!
