¹ Fixed, is my heart, O God, I will sing and touch the strings, even mine honour.

¹ Cântico. Salmo de Davi. Meu coração está firme, ó Deus, meu coração está firme; vou cantar e salmodiar. Desperta-te, ó minha alma;

² Awake, O harp and lyre, I will awaken the dawn!

² despertai-vos, harpa e cítara; quero acordar a aurora.

³ I will thank thee among the peoples, O Yahweh, and will sing praise unto thee, among the tribes of men.

³ Entre os povos, Senhor, vos louvarei; salmodiarei a vós entre as nações,

⁴ For, great, above the heavens, is thy lovingkindness, and, as far as the skies, thy faithfulness.

⁴ porque acima dos céus se eleva a vossa misericórdia, e até as nuvens a vossa fidelidade.

⁵ Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God, And, above all the earth, be thy glory.

⁵ Resplandecei, ó Deus, nas alturas dos céus, e brilhe a vossa glória sobre a terra inteira.

⁶ To the end thy beloved ones may be delivered, Oh save thou with thy right hand and answer me!

⁷ God, hath spoken in his holiness, I will exult! I will apportion Shechem! And, the Vale of Succoth, will I measure out;

⁷ Deus falou no seu santuário: Triunfarei, e me apoderarei de Siquém, medirei com o cordel o vale de Sucot.

⁸ Mine, is Gileadmine, Manasseh, but, Ephraim, is the defence of my head, Judah, is my commanders staff;

⁸ Minha é a terra de Galaad, minha a de Manassés; Efraim será o elmo de minha cabeça; Judá, o meu cetro;

⁹ Moab, is my wash-bowl, Upon Edom, will I throw my shoe, Over Philistia, raise a shout of triumph.

⁹ Moab, a bacia em que me lavo. Sobre Edom porei minhas sandálias, cantarei vitória sobre a Filistéia.

¹⁰ Who will conduct me to a fortified city? Who will lead me as far as Edom?

¹⁰ Quem me conduzirá à cidade fortificada? Quem me levará até Edom?

¹¹ Hast not thou, O God, rejected us? and wilt not go forth, O God, with our hosts.

¹¹ Quem, senão vós, Senhor, que nos repelistes, e já não andais à frente dos nossos exércitos?

¹² Grant us help out of distress, for, vain, is the deliverance of man:

¹² Dai-nos auxílio contra o inimigo, porque é vão qualquer socorro humano.

¹³ In God, shall we do valiantly, He himself, therefore, shall tread down our adversaries.

¹³ Com Deus faremos proezas, ele esmagará os nossos inimigos.
