¹ And the Pharisees and certain of the Scribes who have come from Jerusalem gather themselves together unto him;

¹ Então, ajuntaram-se a ele os fariseus, e alguns dos escribas, vindos de Jerusalém.

² and, observing certain of his disciples, that, with defiled hands, that is unwashed, they are eating bread,

² E eles, vendo que alguns dos seus discípulos comiam pão com as mãos impuras, isto é, sem lavar, eles encontraram uma falta.

³ For, the Pharisees, and all the Jews, unless with care they wash their hands, eat not, holding fast the tradition of the elders;

³ Porque os fariseus, e todos os judeus, não comem sem lavar suas mãos, conservando a tradição dos anciãos.

⁴ and coming from market, unless they sprinkle themselves, they eat not,and, many other things, there are, which they have accepted to hold fastimmersions of cups and measures and copper vessels

⁴ E, quando voltam do mercado, se não se lavarem, eles não comem. E muitas outras coisas há que receberam para guardar, como lavar os copos, e os jarros, e os vasos de bronze e as mesas.

⁵ and so the Pharisees and the Scribes, question, himFor what cause do thy disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but, with defiled hands, eat bread?

⁵ Então, perguntaram-lhe os fariseus e os escribas: Por que não andam os teus discípulos conforme a tradição dos anciãos, mas comem o pão sem lavar as mãos?

⁶ But, he, said unto themWell, prophesied Isaiah concerning you, ye hypocrites, as it is writtenThis people, with the lips do honour me, while, their heart, far off, holdeth from me,

⁶ E ele, respondendo, disse-lhes: Bem profetizou Isaías acerca de vós, hipócritas, como está escrito: Este povo honra-me com os seus lábios, mas o seu coração está longe de mim.

⁷ But, in vain, do they pay devotions unto me, teaching for teachings, the commandments of men;

⁷ mas, em vão eles me adoram, ensinando por doutrinas os mandamentos dos homens.

⁸ Having, dismissed, the commandment, of God, ye, hold fast, the tradition, of men.

⁸ Porque vós colocastes de lado o mandamento de Deus, e guardastes a tradição dos homens, como o lavar dos jarros e dos copos; e muitas outras coisas semelhantes a estas fazeis.

⁹ And he was saying to themWell, do ye set aside the commandment of God, that, your own tradition, ye may observe;

⁹ E ele dizia-lhes: Bem sabeis rejeitar o mandamento de Deus, para que possais guardar a vossa própria tradição.

¹⁰ For, Moses, saidHonour thy father and thy mother, andHe that revileth father or mother, let him, surely die,

¹⁰ Porque Moisés disse: Honra a teu pai e a tua mãe; e quem amaldiçoar o pai ou a mãe deixe-o morrer com morte.

¹¹ But, ye, sayIf a man shall say to his father or his mother, Korban! that is, A gift, whatsoever, out of me, thou mightest be profited,

¹¹ Mas vós dizeis: Se um homem disser ao seu pai ou à sua mãe: Isto é Corbã, isso quer dizer, uma oferta, o que poderias lucrar de mim, esse será livre.

¹² no longer, do ye suffer him to do, aught, for his father or his mother,

¹² E nada mais lhe permitis fazer por seu pai ou por sua mãe,

¹³ cancelling the word of God by your tradition which ye have delivered. And, many such similar things, are ye doing!

¹³ fazendo a palavra de Deus ficar sem nenhum efeito pela vossa tradição, que vós transmitistes; e muitas coisas semelhantes a estas fazeis.

¹⁴ And, again calling near the multitude, he was saying unto themHearken to me, all! and understand:

¹⁴ E, chamando todo o povo até ele, disse-lhes: Ouvi-me cada um de vocês, e compreendei;

¹⁵ Nothing, is there, from without the man, entering into him, which can defile him; but, the things which, out of the man, come forth, are the things that defile the man.

¹⁵ não há nada de fora do homem que, entrando nele possa corrompê-lo; mas as coisas que saem dele, são elas que corrompem o homem.

¹⁶ Se algum homem tem ouvidos para ouvir, ouça.

¹⁷ And, when he entered into a house from the multitudes, his disciples began to question him as to the parable;

¹⁷ E, quando ele entrou em casa, os seus discípulos lhe perguntaram a respeito da parábola.

¹⁸ And he saith unto themThus, are, ye also, without discernment? Perceive ye not that, nothing, from without, entering into the man, can defile him;

¹⁸ E ele disse-lhes: Vós também estão sem compreender? Não percebeis que qualquer coisa de fora que entrar no homem, isto não pode corrompê-lo,

¹⁹ because it entereth not into his heart, but into his stomach, and, into the draught, is passedpurifying all foods?

¹⁹ porque não entra no seu coração, mas dentro do ventre, e sai na latrina, purificando todos os alimentos?

²⁰ And he was sayingThat which, out of the man, cometh forth, that, defileth the man;

²⁰ E ele dizia: O que sai do homem, isso contamina o homem.

²¹ For, from within, out of the heart of men, the base designs, come forth,fornications, thefts,

²¹ Porque do interior do coração dos homens, procedem maus pensamentos, adultérios, fornicações, assassinatos,

²² murders, adulteries, covetousnesses, knaveries, deceit, wantonness, an evil eye, profane speaking, foolishness,

²² roubos, cobiça, maldade, engano, lascívia, inveja, blasfêmia, soberba, insensatez;

²³ all these wicked things, from within, come forth, and defile, the man.

²³ todas estas coisas más procedem de dentro e corrompem o homem.

²⁴ And, from thence arising, he departed into the bounds of Tyre and Zidon . And, entering into a house, he was wishing, no one, to know it, and yet could not escape notice,

²⁴ E ele levantando-se dali, foi para as fronteiras de Tiro e Sidom, e entrando em uma casa, não queria que nenhum homem soubesse isto; mas ele não pôde se esconder.

²⁵ but, straightway, a woman hearing about him, whose daughter had an impure spirit, she came and fell down at his feet.

²⁵ Pois uma certa mulher, cuja filha tinha um espírito imundo, ouvindo sobre ele, veio e lançou-se aos seus pés;

²⁶ Now, the woman, was a Grecian, a Syrophoenician by race,and she was requesting him that, the demon, he would cast forth out of her daughter.

²⁶ a mulher era grega, de nacionalidade siro-fenícia, e ela pedia-lhe que expulsasse de sua filha o demônio.

²⁷ And he was saying to herSuffer, the children, first, to be fed; for it is not seemly to take the bread of the children, and, unto the little dogs, to cast it;

²⁷ Mas Jesus disse-lhe: Deixa primeiro saciar os filhos; porque não é bom tomar o pão dos filhos e lançá-lo aos cães.

²⁸ but she answered and saith to himYea, Lord! and yet, the little dogs under the table, do eat of the crumbs of the children;

²⁸ E ela respondeu, dizendo: Sim, Senhor; mas os cães comem das migalhas das crianças debaixo da mesa.

²⁹ and he said to herBecause of this word, go thy way, the demon hath gone forth out of thy daughter;

²⁹ Então, ele disse-lhe: Por essa palavra, vai pelo teu caminho; o demônio já saiu de tua filha.

³⁰ and, departing unto her house, she found the child laid prostrate on the couch, and the demon gone forth.

³⁰ E, quando ela chegou em sua casa, viu que o demônio havia saído, e sua filha deitada sobre a cama.

³¹ And, again coming forth out of the bounds of Tyre, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the bounds of Decapolis.

³¹ E novamente, partindo das regiões de Tiro e Sidom, ele foi até o mar da Galileia, passando pelo litoral de Decápolis.

³² And they bring to him one deaf and stammering, and beseech him that he would lay upon him his hand.

³² E trouxeram-lhe um surdo, que falava com dificuldade; e lhe pediram que impusesse a sua mão sobre ele.

³³ And, taking him away from the multitude apart, he thrust his fingers into his ears, and, spitting, touched his tongue;

³³ E, tirando-o de entre a multidão, pôs-lhe os dedos nos ouvidos, e cuspiu, e tocou-lhe a língua;

³⁴ and, looking up into the heaven, sighed deeply, and saith unto himEphphatha! that is, Be opened!

³⁴ e, erguendo os olhos ao céu, suspirou, e disse: Efatá; isto é, seja aberto.

³⁵ and his ears opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed,and he was speaking correctly.

³⁵ E imediatamente os seus ouvidos foram abertos, e a amarra de sua língua se soltou, e ele falava claramente.

³⁶ And he charged them that they should be telling, no one,but, as much as to them he gave charge, they, exceeding more abundantly, were making proclamation.

³⁶ E ele ordenou-lhes que não contassem a nenhum homem, mas quanto mais lhes ordenava, mais eles o divulgavam.

³⁷ And, superabundantly, were they being struck with astonishment, sayingWell, hath he, all things, done,both, the deaf, he causeth to hear, and, the dumb, to speak.

³⁷ E eles admirando-se além do limite, diziam: Ele tem feito todas as coisas bem, ele faz ambos, o surdo para ouvir e o mudo para falar.
