1 Then responded Bildad the Shuhite, and said:
1 Então respondendo Bildade o suíta, disse:
2 How long wilt thou speak these things? Or, as a mighty wind, shall be the sayings of thy mouth?
2 Até quando falarás tais coisas, e as palavras da tua boca serão como um vento impetuoso?
3 Should, GOD, pervert justice? Or, the Almighty, pervert righteousness?
3 Porventura perverteria Deus o direito? E perverteria o TodoPoderoso a justiça?
4 Though, thy children, sinned against him, and he delivered them into the hand of their transgression,
4 Se teus filhos pecaram contra ele, também ele os lançou na mão da sua transgressão.
5 Yet, if, thou thyself, wilt diligently seek unto GOD,and, unto the Almighty, wilt make supplication;
5 Mas, se tu de madrugada buscares a Deus, e ao Todo-Poderoso pedires misericórdia;
6 If, pure and upright, thou thyself, art, surely, now, will he answer thy prayer, and will prosper thy righteous habitation:
6 Se fores puro e reto, certamente logo despertará por ti, e restaurará a morada da tua justiça.
7 So shall thy beginning appear small,when, thy latter end, he shall greatly increase!
7 O teu princípio, na verdade, terá sido pequeno, porém o teu último estado crescerá em extremo.
8 For inquire, I pray thee, of a former generation, and prepare thyself for the research of their fathers;
8 Pois, eu te peço, pergunta agora às gerações passadas; e prepara-te para a inquirição de seus pais.
9 For, of yesterday, are, we, and cannot know, for, a shadow, are our days upon earth:
9 Porque nós somos de ontem, e nada sabemos; porquanto nossos dias sobre a terra são como a sombra.
10 Shall, they, not teach theetell thee, and, out of their memory, bring forth words?
10 Porventura não te ensinarão eles, e não te falarão, e do seu coração não tirarão palavras?
11 Can the paper-reed grow up, without a marsh? Or the rush grow up, without water?
11 Porventura cresce o junco sem lodo? Ou cresce a espadana sem água?
12 Though while still, in its freshness, it be not plucked off, yet, before any kind of grass, it doth wither:
12 Estando ainda no seu verdor, ainda que não cortada, todavia antes de qualquer outra erva se seca.
13 So, shall be the latter end of all who forget GOD, and, the hope of the impious, shall perish:
13 Assim são as veredas de todos quantos se esquecem de Deus; e a esperança do hipócrita perecerá.
14 Whose trust shall be contemptible,and, a spiders web, his confidence:
14 Cuja esperança fica frustrada; e a sua confiança será como a teia de aranha.
15 He leaneth upon his house, and it will not stand, he holdeth it fast, and it will not remain erect.
15 Encostar-se-á à sua casa, mas ela não subsistirá; apegar-se-á a ela, mas não ficará em pé.
16 Full of moisture he is, before the sun, and, over his garden, his shoot goeth forth:
16 Ele é viçoso perante o sol, e os seus renovos saem sobre o seu jardim;
17 Over a heap, his roots are entwined, a place of stones, he descrieth;
17 As suas raízes se entrelaçam, junto à fonte; para o pedregal atenta.
18 If one destroy him out of his place, then will it disown him I have not seen thee.
18 Se Deus o consumir do seu lugar, negá-lo-á este, dizendo: Nunca te vi!
19 Lo! that, is the joy of his way,and, out of the dust, shall others spring up.
19 Eis que este é a alegria do seu caminho, e outros brotarão do pó.
20 Lo! GOD, will not reject a blameless man, neither will he grasp the hand of evil-doers:
20 Eis que Deus não rejeitará ao reto; nem toma pela mão aos malfeitores;
21 At length he shall fill with laughter thy mouth, and thy lips, with a shout of triumph:
21 Até que de riso te encha a boca, e os teus lábios de júbilo.
22 They who hate thee, shall be clothed with shame, but, the tent of the lawless, shall not be!
22 Os que te odeiam se vestirão de confusão, e a tenda dos ímpios não existirá mais.
