1 With her freedom, Christ hath made you, free. Stand fast, therefore, and do not, again, with a yoke of servitude, be held fast!
1 Estai, pois, firmes na liberdade com que Cristo nos libertou e não torneis a meter-vos debaixo do jugo da servidão.
2 See! I, Paul, say unto youif ye be getting circumcised, Christ will profit you, nothing.
2 Eis que eu, Paulo, vos digo que, se vos deixardes circuncidar, Cristo de nada vos aproveitará.
3 Yea, I bear solemn witness again, unto every man getting circumcised,that he is, a debtor, to do, the whole law.
3 E, de novo, protesto a todo homem que se deixa circuncidar que está obrigado a guardar toda a lei.
4 Ye have been set aside from Christ, ye who, by law, are to be declared righteous,out of his favour, ye have fallen;
4 Separados estais de Cristo, vós os que vos justificais pela lei; da graça tendes caído.
5 For, we, in Spirit, by faith, for a hope of righteousness, are ardently waiting,
5 Porque nós, pelo espírito da fé, aguardamos a esperança da justiça.
6 For, in Christ Jesus , neither, circumcision, availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith, through love, energising.
6 Porque, em Jesus Cristo, nem a circuncisão nem a incircuncisão têm virtude alguma, mas, sim, a fé que opera por amor.
7 Ye were running well:who hath hindered you, that, by truth, ye are not to be persuaded?
7 Corríeis bem; quem vos impediu, para que não obedeçais à verdade?
8 The persuasion, not of him that calleth you:
8 Esta persuasão não vem daquele que vos chamou.
9 A little leaven, leaveneth, the whole lump.
9 Um pouco de fermento leveda toda a massa.
10 I, am persuaded regarding you, in the Lordthat, for nothing else, ye will have any regard; but, he that is troubling you, shall bear the sentence,whosoever he may be.
10 Confio de vós, no Senhor, que nenhuma outra coisa sentireis; mas aquele que vos inquieta, seja ele quem for, sofrerá a condenação.
11 I, however, brethrenif, circumcision, I yet proclaim, why am I yet persecuted? After all, the stumbling-block of the cross hath been set aside.
11 Eu, porém, irmãos, se prego ainda a circuncisão, por que sou, pois, perseguido? Logo, o escândalo da cruz está aniquilado.
12 Oh! that they would even leave off in dismay, who are unsettling you!
12 Eu quereria que fossem cortados aqueles que vos andam inquietando.
13 For, ye, on a footing of freedom, were called, brethren,only, not your freedom into an occasion to the flesh, but, by means of your love, be serving one another;
13 Porque vós, irmãos, fostes chamados à liberdade. Não useis, então, da liberdade para dar ocasião à carne, mas servi-vos uns aos outros pelo amor.
14 For, the whole law, in one word, is summed up in this,Thou shall love thy neighbour as thyself.
14 Porque toda a lei se cumpre numa só palavra, nesta: Amarás o teu próximo como a ti mesmo.
15 If, however, one another, ye bite and devour, take heed lest, by one another, ye be consumed!
15 Se vós, porém, vos mordeis e devorais uns aos outros, vede não vos consumais também uns aos outros.
16 I say, moreoverby Spirit, be walking, and, fleshly coveting, ye will in nowise fulfil;
16 Digo, porém: Andai em Espírito e não cumprireis a concupiscência da carne.
17 For, the flesh, coveted against the Spirit, but, the Spirit, against the flesh,for, these, unto one another, are opposed, lest, whatsoever things ye chance to desire, these, ye should be doing!
17 Porque a carne cobiça contra o Espírito, e o Espírito, contra a carne; e estes opõem-se um ao outro; para que não façais o que quereis.
18 And, if, by Spirit, ye are being led, ye are not under law.
18 Mas, se sois guiados pelo Espírito, não estais debaixo da lei.
19 Manifest, however, are the works of the flesh, which, indeed, arefornication, impurity, wantonness,
19 Porque as obras da carne são manifestas, as quais são: prostituição, impureza, lascívia,
20 idolatry, enchantment, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of wrath, factions, divisions, parties,
20 idolatria, feitiçarias, inimizades, porfias, emulações, iras, pelejas, dissensões, heresias,
21 envyings, drunkenness, revellings;and such things as these: as to which I forewarn you, even as I have forewarned you,that, they who such things as these do practise, shall not inherit, Gods kingdom.
21 invejas, homicídios, bebedices, glutonarias e coisas semelhantes a estas, acerca das quais vos declaro, como já antes vos disse, que os que cometem tais coisas não herdarão o Reino de Deus.
22 But, the fruit of the Spirit, islove, joy, peace, long-suffering, graciousness, goodness, faithfulness,
22 Mas o fruto do Espírito é: amor, gozo, paz, longanimidade, benignidade, bondade, fé, mansidão, temperança.
23 meekness, self-control;against such things as these, there is no law.
23 Contra essas coisas não há lei.
24 And, they who are of Christ Jesus, have crucified, the flesh, with its susceptibilities and covetings.
24 E os que são de Cristo crucificaram a carne com as suas paixões e concupiscências.
25 If we live by Spirit, by Spirit, let us also walk.
25 Se vivemos no Espírito, andemos também no Espírito.
26 Let us not become vain-glorious,one another, challenging, one another, envying.
26 Não sejamos cobiçosos de vanglórias, irritando-nos uns aos outros, invejando-nos uns aos outros.
