1 Thou therefore O son of man Take thee a tablet, and lay it before thee,and pourtray thereon a city, even Jerusalem.
1 “Agora, filho do homem, pegue um tijolo de barro, coloque-o à sua frente e desenhe nele a cidade de Jerusalém.
2 Then shalt thou lay siege against it And bud up against it a siege-wall And cast up against it, a mound, And set against it camps, And place against it battering-rams, round about.
2 Retrate a cidade cercada. Construa um muro ao redor dela, arme o acampamento inimigo e cerque a cidade com rampas e troncos de ataque.
3 Thou, therefore take time a pan of iron, and set it for a wall of iron, between thee and the city,then shalt thou direct thy face against it and it shall come into siege and thou shalt lay siege to it, a sign, shall it be to the house of Israel.
3 Pegue uma panela de ferro e coloque-a entre você e a cidade. Volte-se para a cidade e mostre como será o cerco de Jerusalém. Isso será um sinal de advertência para o povo de Israel.
4 Thou, therefore lie thou on thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it, during the number of the days which thou shalt lie thereon, shalt thou bear their punishment.
4 “Agora, deite-se sobre o lado esquerdo e ponha sobre si os pecados de Israel. Você terá de carregar os pecados de Israel pelo número de dias que ficar deitado sobre o lado esquerdo.
5 I therefore have appointed thee the years of their punishment, by the number of days a hundred and ninety days,so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
5 Determinei que carregará os pecados de Israel por 390 dias, um dia para cada ano de pecado do povo.
6 And when thou hast ended these, then shalt thou lie, on thy right side. a second time, and shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah, forty days, one day for each year, have I appointed thee.
6 Depois, deite-se sobre o lado direito durante quarenta dias, um dia para cada ano de pecado de Judá.
7 Thus then unto the siege of Jerusalem, shalt thou direct thy face, with thine arm made bare,so shalt thou prophesy against it.
7 “Enquanto isso, continue a olhar para o cerco de Jerusalém. Deite-se com o braço descoberto e profetize contra a cidade.
8 And lo! I have laid upon thee-bands,and thou shalt not turn thee from thy one side to thine other, until thou have ended the days of thy siege.
8 Eu o amarrarei com cordas para que você não possa virar-se de um lado para o outro, até que tenha completado os dias do cerco.
9 Thou, therefore, take thee wheat and barley and peas and lentils and millet and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make them ready for thee as bread,during the number of days which thou art lying on thy side. a hundred and ninety days, shalt thou eat it;
9 “Pegue um pouco de trigo, cevada, feijão, lentilha, milho-miúdo e trigo candeal e misture-os numa vasilha. Use-os para preparar seu pão durante os 390 dias em que ficará deitado sobre o lado esquerdo.
10 and thy food which thou shalt eat shall be by weight twenty shekels a day, from time to time, shalt thou eat it;
10 Racione suas porções, 240 gramas por dia, e coma-as em horas determinadas.
11 and water by measure, shalt thou drink the sixth part of a hin,-from time to time shalt thou drink;
11 Depois, meça pouco mais de meio litro de água para cada dia e beba-a em horas determinadas.
12 and as a barley cake, shalt thou eat it,and the same with dung proceeding from man, shalt thou bake, before their eyes.
12 Prepare e coma esse alimento como faria com bolos de cevada. Asse-o diante de todo o povo, usando fezes humanas secas como combustível.”
13 Then said Yahweh, In like manner, shall the sons of Israel eat their bread defiled,among the nations whither I will drive them.
13 E o S enhor disse: “Assim os israelitas comerão pão impuro na terra dos gentios, para onde eu os expulsarei”.
14 Then said, I, Ah! My Lord. Yahweh, lo! my person, hath not been defiled: neither of what hath died of itself nor of what hath been torn in pieces: have I eaten, from my youthful days even unto now, neither hath come into my mouth the flesh of a foul thing.
14 Então eu disse: “Ó S enhor Soberano, jamais me contaminei! Desde a infância, nunca comi animais mortos por doença ou despedaçados por outros animais. Nunca comi carne alguma proibida pela lei”.
15 So then he said unto me, See I have granted thee cows dung for mans dung,and thou shalt prepare thy bread thereupon.
15 Então ele me disse: “Em lugar de fezes humanas, você pode usar esterco de vaca para assar o pão”.
16 And he said unto me, Son of man Behold me! breaking the staff of bread in Jerusalem, So shall they eat bread by weight and with anxious care, And water by measure, and in astonishment, shall they drink:
16 E acrescentou: “Filho do homem, tornarei a comida extremamente escassa em Jerusalém. Será pesada com grande cuidado e consumida com medo. A água será racionada, e o povo beberá com desespero.
17 that they may lack bread and water and be astonished one with another, and pine away in their punishment.
17 Diante da falta de comida e água, olharão uns para os outros aterrorizados e definharão debaixo de seu castigo.”
