1 Sing joyfully to Jehovah, O you righteous ones. Praise is becoming to the upright.
1 Regozijai no SENHOR, ó vós justos; pois o louvor é agradável para os justos.
2 Give thanks to Jehovah with the harp. Sing praises to him with a harp of ten strings.
2 Louvai ao SENHOR com harpa; cantai a ele com saltério e com um instrumento de dez cordas.
3 Sing to him a new song. Play your best and shout with joy.
3 Cantai a ele uma nova canção; tocai habilmente com grande júbilo.
4 The word of Jehovah is upright. All his works are true trustworthy.
4 Porque a palavra do SENHOR é certa; e todas as suas obras são feitas na verdade.
5 He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of Jehovahs loving-kindness.
5 Ele ama a justiça e o juízo; a terra está cheia da bondade do SENHOR.
6 The heavens were made by the word of Jehovah, and by the breath of his mouth their entire host.
6 Pela palavra do SENHOR os céus foram feitos; e todo o exército deles pelo fôlego de sua boca.
7 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He puts the ocean depth in his storehouses.
7 Ele reúne as águas do mar juntamente como um montão; ele ajunta os abismos em depósitos.
8 Let all the earth reverence Jehovah. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
8 Que toda a terra tema ao SENHOR; que todos os habitantes do mundo fiquem perplexos com ele.
9 He spoke and it was done! He commanded and it stood fast.
9 Porque ele falou, e foi feito; ele comandou, e firmou-se.
10 Jehovah nullifies the counsel of the nations. He frustrates the plans of the peoples.
10 O SENHOR traz o conselho dos pagãos a nada; ele faz com que os artifícios dos povos não tenham efeito.
11 The counsel of Jehovah and the plans of his heart stand from generation to generation, forever.
11 O conselho do SENHOR permanece para sempre; os pensamentos de seu coração para todas as gerações.
12 Blessed is the nation whos God is Jehovah. Happy are the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
12 Abençoada é a nação cujo Deus é o SENHOR; e o povo o qual ele escolheu para sua própria herança.
13 Jehovah looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.
13 O SENHOR olha do céu; ele está vendo todos os filhos dos homens.
14 He looks from his dwelling place on all the inhabitants of the earth,
14 Do lugar de sua habitação ele contempla todos os habitantes da terra.
15 He who fashions all their hearts observes and understands all their works.
15 Ele forma seus corações da mesma maneira; ele considera todas as suas obras.
16 A mighty army does not save the king. A warrior is not delivered by great strength.
16 Não há rei salvo pela multidão de um exército; um homem poderoso não é liberto por muita força.
17 A horse is a false hope for victory. It does not deliver anyone by its great strength.
17 Um cavalo é uma coisa vã para a segurança; nem livrará ninguém por sua grande força.
18 Remember, the eye of Jehovah is on those who respect him, on those who hope for his loving-kindness.
18 Eis que o olho do SENHOR é sobre aqueles que o temem, sobre aqueles que esperam em sua misericórdia;
19 It is on those who deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
19 para livrar a sua alma da morte, e para manterem-se vivos na fome.
20 We wait for Jehovah for he is our help and our shield.
20 Nossa alma espera pelo SENHOR; ele é a nossa ajuda e o nosso escudo.
21 Our heart rejoices in him, for we trust in his holy name.
21 Pois nosso coração regozijará nele, porque nós confiamos no seu santo nome.
22 Let your loving-kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, just as we have hoped and waited patiently in you.
22 Que a tua misericórdia, ó SENHOR, seja sobre nós, à medida que tivermos esperança em ti.
