1 Sing joyfully to Jehovah, O you righteous ones. Praise is becoming to the upright.
1 Regozijai-vos no SENHOR, vós justos, pois aos retos convém o louvor.
2 Give thanks to Jehovah with the harp. Sing praises to him with a harp of ten strings.
2 Louvai ao Senhor com harpa, cantai a ele com o saltério e um instrumento de dez cordas.
3 Sing to him a new song. Play your best and shout with joy.
3 Cantai-lhe um cântico novo; tocai bem e com júbilo.
4 The word of Jehovah is upright. All his works are true trustworthy.
4 Porque a palavra do Senhor é reta, e todas as suas obras são fiéis.
5 He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of Jehovahs loving-kindness.
5 Ele ama a justiça e o juízo; a terra está cheia da bondade do Senhor.
6 The heavens were made by the word of Jehovah, and by the breath of his mouth their entire host.
6 Pela palavra do Senhor foram feitos os céus, e todo o exército deles pelo espírito da sua boca.
7 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He puts the ocean depth in his storehouses.
7 Ele ajunta as águas do mar como num montão; põe os abismos em depósitos.
8 Let all the earth reverence Jehovah. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
8 Tema toda a terra ao Senhor; temam-no todos os moradores do mundo.
9 He spoke and it was done! He commanded and it stood fast.
9 Porque falou, e foi feito; mandou, e logo apareceu.
10 Jehovah nullifies the counsel of the nations. He frustrates the plans of the peoples.
10 O Senhor desfaz o conselho dos gentios, quebranta os intentos dos povos.
11 The counsel of Jehovah and the plans of his heart stand from generation to generation, forever.
11 O conselho do Senhor permanece para sempre; os intentos do seu coração de geração em geração.
12 Blessed is the nation whos God is Jehovah. Happy are the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
12 Bem-aventurada é a nação cujo Deus é o Senhor, e o povo ao qual escolheu para sua herança.
13 Jehovah looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.
13 O Senhor olha desde os céus e está vendo a todos os filhos dos homens.
14 He looks from his dwelling place on all the inhabitants of the earth,
14 Do lugar da sua habitação contempla todos os moradores da terra.
15 He who fashions all their hearts observes and understands all their works.
15 Ele é que forma o coração de todos eles, que contempla todas as suas obras.
16 A mighty army does not save the king. A warrior is not delivered by great strength.
16 Não há rei que se salve com a grandeza dum exército, nem o homem valente se livra pela muita força.
17 A horse is a false hope for victory. It does not deliver anyone by its great strength.
17 O cavalo é falaz para a segurança; não livra ninguém com a sua grande força.
18 Remember, the eye of Jehovah is on those who respect him, on those who hope for his loving-kindness.
18 Eis que os olhos do Senhor estão sobre os que o temem, sobre os que esperam na sua misericórdia;
19 It is on those who deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
19 Para lhes livrar as almas da morte, e para os conservar vivos na fome.
20 We wait for Jehovah for he is our help and our shield.
20 A nossa alma espera no Senhor; ele é o nosso auxílio e o nosso escudo.
21 Our heart rejoices in him, for we trust in his holy name.
21 Pois nele se alegra o nosso coração; porquanto temos confiado no seu santo nome.
22 Let your loving-kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, just as we have hoped and waited patiently in you.
22 Seja a tua misericórdia, Senhor, sobre nós, como em ti esperamos.
