1 I am the man who has seen trouble by the rod of his fury.
1 Eu sou o homem que viu a aflição trazida pela vara da sua ira.
2 By him I have been made to go in the dark and not in the light.
2 Ele me impeliu e me fez andar na escuridão, e não na luz;
3 Truly against me his hand has been turned again and again all day long.
3 sim, ele voltou sua mão contra mim vez após vez, o tempo todo.
4 My flesh and my skin have been used up by him and my bones broken.
4 Fez que a minha pele e a minha carne envelhecessem e quebrou os meus ossos.
5 He built a wall against me, shutting me in with hardship and bitter sorrow.
5 Ele me sitiou e me cercou de amargura e de pesar.
6 He kept me in dark places, like those who have been dead a long time.
6 Fez-me habitar na escuridão como os que há muito morreram.
7 He built a wall around me so that I am unable to go out. He made a heavy chain for me.
7 Cercou-me de muros, e não posso escapar; atou-me a pesadas correntes.
8 Even when I send up a cry for help, he shuts out my prayer.
8 Mesmo quando chamo ou grito por socorro, ele rejeita a minha oração.
9 He blocked my way with cut stones. He twisted my roadways.
9 Ele impediu o meu caminho com blocos de pedra; e fez tortuosas as minhas sendas.
10 He is like a bear waiting for me, like a lion in secret places.
10 Como um urso à espreita, como um leão escondido,
11 He has turned me on one side. I have been pulled to bits and lay desolate.
11 arrancou-me do caminho e despedaçou-me, deixando-me abandonado.
12 With his bow bent, he made me the target for his arrows.
12 Preparou o seu arco e me fez alvo de suas flechas.
13 He has let fly his arrows into the inmost parts of my body.
13 Atingiu o meu coração com flechas de sua aljava.
14 I have become the laughingstock of all the peoples. I am their mocking song all the day.
14 Tornei-me motivo de riso de todo o meu povo; nas suas canções eles zombam de mim o tempo todo.
15 He has made my life nothing but pain. He gives me bitterness in full measure.
15 Fez-me comer ervas amargas e fartou-me de fel.
16 He broke my teeth with crushed stones. I am bent low in the dust.
16 Quebrou os meus dentes com pedras; e pisoteou-me no pó.
17 Peace has been removed far away from me. I do not remember what good is.
17 Tirou-me a paz; esqueci-me do que significa prosperidade.
18 I said: »My strength is cut off, and my hope from Jehovah.«
18 Por isso digo: "Meu esplendor já se foi, bem como tudo o que eu esperava do Senhor".
19 Remember my trouble and my wandering, the bitterroot and the poison.
19 Lembro-me da minha aflição e do meu delírio, da minha amargura e do meu pesar.
20 Remember and bow bendcome down to my level down deep within me.
20 Lembro-me bem disso tudo, e a minha alma desfalece dentro de mim.
21 I remember this and I have hope.
21 Todavia, lembro-me também do que pode dar-me esperança:
22 We have not come to destruction because of Jehovahs loving kindness. His mercies are without end.
22 Graças ao grande amor do Senhor é que não somos consumidos, pois as suas misericórdias são inesgotáveis.
23 They are new every morning. Your faithfulness is abundant.
23 Renovam-se cada manhã; grande é a tua fidelidade!
24 I said to myself, »Jehovah is my heritage. For this reason I will hope in him.«
24 Digo a mim mesmo: A minha porção é o Senhor; portanto, nele porei a minha esperança.
25 Jehovah is good to those who are waiting for him, to the person seeking him.
25 O Senhor é bom para com aqueles cuja esperança está nele, para com aqueles que o buscam;
26 It is good to go on hoping and quietly waiting for the salvation of Jehovah.
26 é bom esperar tranqüilo pela salvação do Senhor.
27 It is good for a man to carry the yoke when he is young.
27 É bom que o homem suporte o jugo enquanto é jovem.
28 Let him sit by himself and keep silent because he has laid it on him.
28 Leve-o sozinho e em silêncio, porque o Senhor o pôs sobre ele.
29 Let him put his mouth in the dust for perhaps there exists hope.
29 Ponha o seu rosto no pó; talvez ainda haja esperança.
30 Let his face be turned to him who gives him blows; let him be full of shame.
30 Ofereça o rosto a quem o quer ferir, e engula a desonra.
31 Jehovah does not give a man up for a very long time.
31 Porque o Senhor não o desprezará para sempre.
32 For though he sends grief, still he will have pity in the full measure of his love.
32 Embora ele traga tristeza, mostrará compaixão, tão grande é o seu amor infalível.
33 He takes no pleasure in troubling and causing grief to the children of men, it is not within his heart.
33 Porque não é do seu agrado trazer aflição e tristeza aos filhos dos homens.
34 A man crushes under his feet all the prisoners of the earth.
34 Esmagar com os pés todos os prisioneiros da terra,
35 He turns away the judgment of a man before the face of the Most High.
35 negar a alguém os seus direitos, enfrentando o Altíssimo,
36 Jehovah would not seek to deprive a man of justice.
36 impedir a alguém o acesso à justiça; não veria o Senhor tais coisas?
37 Who is able to say something should occur if Jehovah has not ordered it.
37 Quem poderá falar e fazer acontecer, se o Senhor não o tiver decretado?
38 Do not calamities and good things come from the mouth of the Most High?
38 Não é da boca do Altíssimo que vêm tanto as desgraças como as bênçãos?
39 What protest may a living man make? Can a man protest about the punishment for his sin?
39 Como pode um homem reclamar quando é punido por seus pecados?
40 Let us search and put our ways to the test. Let us turn again to Jehovah.
40 Examinemos e submetamos à prova os nossos caminhos, e depois voltemos ao Senhor.
41 Let us lift up our hearts along with our hands to God in heaven.
41 Levantemos o coração e as mãos para Deus, que está nos céus, e digamos:
42 For we have done wrong. We have rebelled against your law. We have not received your forgiveness.
42 "Pecamos e nos rebelamos, e tu não nos perdoaste.
43 You blocked our approach to you with anger. You have slain us without compassion.
43 Tu te cobriste de ira e nos perseguiste, massacraste-nos sem piedade.
44 You covered yourself with a cloud, so that prayer may not pass through.
44 Tu te escondeste atrás de uma nuvem para que nenhuma oração chegasse a ti.
45 You made us like waste and that for which there is no use, among the peoples.
45 Tu nos tornaste escória e refugo entre as nações.
46 The mouths of all our enemies are open wide against us.
46 Todos os nossos inimigos escancaram a boca contra nós.
47 Fear and deep waters have come on us with devastation and destruction.
47 Sofremos terror e ciladas, ruína e destruição".
48 Rivers of water run down from my eyes because pf the destruction of the daughter of my people.
48 Rios de lágrimas correm dos meus ohos porque o meu povo foi destruído.
49 My eyes stream without stopping. They have no rest.
49 Meus olhos choram sem parar, sem nenhum descanso,
50 Jehovah looks down and sees from heaven.
50 até que o Senhor contemple dos céus e veja.
51 My eyes bring me pain because of all the daughters of my town.
51 O que eu enxergo enche-me a alma de tristeza, de pena de todas as mulheres da minha cidade.
52 My enemies hunt for me just as if I was a bird.
52 Aqueles que, sem motivo, eram meus inimigos caçaram-me como a um passarinho.
53 They sentence my life to prison and keep hurling stones at me.
53 Procuraram fazer minha vida acabar na cova e me jogaram pedras;
54 Waters were flowing over my head; I said: »I am cut off.«
54 as águas me encobriram a cabeça, e cheguei a pensar que o fim de tudo tinha chegado.
55 I called out your name in prayer, O Jehovah, out of the lowest prison.
55 Clamei pelo teu nome, Senhor, das profundezas da cova.
56 My voice came to you, »Do not shut your ear to my relief, to my cry!«
56 Tu ouviste o meu clamor: "Não feches os teus ouvidos aos meus gritos de socorro".
57 You came near in the day when I offered my prayer to you. You said: »Have no fear.«
57 Tu te aproximaste quando a ti clamei, e disseste: "Não tenha medo".
58 O Jehovah, you have taken up my cause. You made my life safe.
58 Senhor, tu assumiste a minha causa; e redimiste a minha vida.
59 O Jehovah, you saw the wrong done to me. Do conduct the judgment for me!
59 Tu tens visto, Senhor, o mal que me tem sido feito. Toma a teu cargo a minha causa!
60 You saw all the evil they did to me and all their designs against me.
60 Tu viste como é terrível a vingança deles, todas as suas ciladas contra mim.
61 Their bitter words have come to your ears, O Jehovah, and all their designs against me.
61 Senhor, tu ouviste os seus insultos, todas as suas ciladas contra mim,
62 You saw the lips of those who came up against me, and their thoughts against me all the day.
62 aquilo que os meus inimigos sussurram e murmuram o tempo todo contra mim.
63 Take note of them when they are seated and when they get up. I am their mockery of song.
63 Olha para eles! Sentados ou em pé, zombam de mim com as suas canções.
64 You will give them their reward, O Jehovah. Answer the work of their hands.
64 Dá-lhes o que merecem, Senhor, conforme o que as suas mãos têm feito.
65 You will cover their hearts with your curse on them.
65 Coloca um véu sobre os seus corações e esteja a tua maldição sobre eles.
66 You will go after them in anger and annihilate them from under the heavens of Jehovah.
66 Persegue-os com fúria e elimina-os de debaixo dos teus céus, ó Senhor.
