Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs ARC
1 He who sitteth under the secret protection of the Most High, shall rest under the shadow of the Almighty.
1 Aquele que habita no esconderijo do Altíssimo, à sombra do Onipotente descansará.
2 I will say of the Lord, who is my refuge and my stronghold, my God, in whom I ever trust,
2 Direi do Senhor : Ele é o meu Deus, o meu refúgio, a minha fortaleza, e nele confiarei.
3 That he will surely deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the pestilence of destruction.
3 Porque ele te livrará do laço do passarinheiro e da peste perniciosa.
4 With his pinions will he cover thee, and under his wings shalt thou find shelter: shield and buckler is his truth.
4 Ele te cobrirá com as suas penas, e debaixo das suas asas estarás seguro; a sua verdade é escudo e broquel.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid of the terror of the night; nor of the arrow that flieth by day;
5 Não temerás espanto noturno, nem seta que voe de dia,
6 Nor of the pestilence that stalketh in darkness; nor of the deadly disease that wasteth at noonday.
6 nem peste que ande na escuridão, nem mortandade que assole ao meio-dia.
7 There shall fall at thy side a thousand, and ten thousand at thy right hand; unto thee however shall it not come nigh.
7 Mil cairão ao teu lado, e dez mil, à tua direita, mas tu não serás atingido.
8 Only with thy eyes shalt thou behold it, and see the recompense of the wicked.
8 Somente com os teus olhos olharás e verás a recompensa dos ímpios.
9 Because thou hast said, The Lord is my protection, the Most High hast thou made thy refuge:
9 Porque tu, ó Senhor , és o meu refúgio! O Altíssimo é a tua habitação.
10 No evil shall befall thee, nor shall any plague come nigh unto thy tent.
10 Nenhum mal te sucederá, nem praga alguma chegará à tua tenda.
11 For his angels will he give charge concerning thee, to guard thee on all thy ways.
11 Porque aos seus anjos dará ordem a teu respeito, para te guardarem em todos os teus caminhos.
12 Upon their hands shall they bear thee, that thou mayest not dash against a stone thy foot.
12 Eles te sustentarão nas suas mãos, para que não tropeces com o teu pé em pedra.
13 Upon the fierce lion and asp shalt thou tread: thou shalt trample under foot the young lion and serpent.
13 Pisarás o leão e a áspide; calcarás aos pés o filho do leão e a serpente.
14 Because he hath fixed his desire upon me, therefore will I release him: I will set him on high, because he knoweth my name.
14 Pois que tão encarecidamente me amou, também eu o livrarei; pô-lo-ei num alto retiro, porque conheceu o meu nome.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him: with him will I be in distress; I will deliver him, and grant him honor.
15 Ele me invocará, e eu lhe responderei; estarei com ele na angústia; livrá-lo-ei e o glorificarei.
16 With length of days will I satisfy him, and I will let him see my salvation.
16 Dar-lhe-ei abundância de dias e lhe mostrarei a minha salvação.
