Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs NVT
1 A psalm of Assaph. The God of gods, the Lord, speaketh, and calleth the earth, from the rising of the sun unto his setting.
1 O S enhor , o Deus Poderoso, falou; convocou toda a humanidade, desde onde o sol nasce até onde se põe.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shineth forth.
2 Do monte Sião, lugar de perfeita beleza, Deus resplandece.
3 Our God is coming, and will not keep silence: a fire devoureth before him, and round him there rageth a mighty storm.
3 Nosso Deus se aproxima e não está em silêncio. Fogo devora tudo em seu caminho, e ao seu redor há uma grande tempestade.
4 He will call to the heavens above, and to the earth, to judge his people.
4 Ele convoca os céus em cima e a terra embaixo, para testemunharem o julgamento de seu povo.
5 "Gather together unto me my pious servants, who make a covenant with me by sacrifice."
5 “Tragam aqui os que me são fiéis, os que fizeram comigo uma aliança de oferta de sacrifícios.”
6 And the heavens tell of his righteousness; for God is judge himself. Selah.
6 Então, que os céus proclamem sua justiça, pois o próprio Deus será o juiz. Interlúdio
7 "Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: God, thy God, am I.
7 “Ó meu povo, ouça o que direi, estas são minhas acusações contra você, ó Israel: Eu sou Deus, o seu Deus!
8 Not because of thy sacrifices will I reprove thee; and thy burntofferings are continually before me.
8 Não o reprovo por seus sacrifícios, nem pelos holocaustos que sempre oferecem.
9 I will not take a bullock out of thy house, nor hegoats out of thy folds.
9 Não preciso, contudo, dos novilhos de seus estábulos, nem dos bodes de seus currais.
10 For mine are all the beasts of the forest, the cattle upon a thousand mountains.
10 Pois são meus todos os animais dos bosques, e sou dono do gado nos milhares de colinas.
11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: whatever moveth on the fields is with me.
11 Conheço cada pássaro dos montes, e todos os animais dos campos me pertencem.
12 If I were hungry, I would not say it to thee; for mine is the world, and what filleth it.
12 Se eu tivesse fome, não lhes diria, pois meu é o mundo inteiro e tudo que nele há.
13 Do I eat the flesh of fatted bulls, or drink the blood of hegoats?
13 Acaso como a carne de touros ou bebo o sangue de bodes?
14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay unto the Most High thy vows;
14 Ofereçam a Deus seu sacrifício de gratidão e cumpram os votos que fizerem ao Altíssimo.
15 And call on me on the day of distress: I will deliver thee, and so wilt thou glorify me."
15 Então clamem a mim em tempos de aflição; eu os livrarei, e vocês me darão glória.”
16 But unto the wicked God saith, "What hast thou to do to relate my statutes, and why bearest thou my covenant upon thy mouth?
16 Ao perverso, porém, Deus diz: “De que adianta recitar meus decretos e falar a respeito de minha aliança?
17 And yet thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
17 Pois você recusa minha disciplina e trata minhas palavras como lixo.
18 When thou seest a thief, then art thou pleased with him, and with adulterers hast thou thy portion.
18 Quando vê ladrões, aprova o que fazem e passa seu tempo com adúlteros.
19 Thou lettest loose thy mouth with evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
19 Sua boca está cheia de maldade, e sua língua, repleta de mentiras.
20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; against thy own mothers son thou utterest slander.
20 Vive a caluniar seu irmão, filho de sua própria mãe.
21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence: thou didst ween that I am like thyself; but I will reprove thee, and set it in order before thy eyes."
21 Enquanto você assim agia, permaneci calado, e você pensou que éramos iguais. Agora, porém, o repreenderei; contra você apresentarei minhas acusações.
22 Do but reflect on this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, with none to deliver.
22 Pensem bem e arrependam-se todos vocês que de mim se esquecem; caso contrário, eu os despedaçarei e ninguém os ajudará.
23 Whoso offereth thanksgiving glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his course aright, will I show the salvation of God.
23 A gratidão, porém, é um sacrifício que de fato me honra; se permanecerem em meus caminhos, eu lhes revelarei a salvação de Deus”.
