Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs ARA
1 A psalm of Assaph. The God of gods, the Lord, speaketh, and calleth the earth, from the rising of the sun unto his setting.
1 Fala o Poderoso, o Senhor Deus, e chama a terra desde o Levante até ao Poente.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shineth forth.
2 Desde Sião, excelência de formosura, resplandece Deus.
3 Our God is coming, and will not keep silence: a fire devoureth before him, and round him there rageth a mighty storm.
3 Vem o nosso Deus e não guarda silêncio; perante ele arde um fogo devorador, ao seu redor esbraveja grande tormenta.
4 He will call to the heavens above, and to the earth, to judge his people.
4 Intima os céus lá em cima e a terra, para julgar o seu povo.
5 "Gather together unto me my pious servants, who make a covenant with me by sacrifice."
5 Congregai os meus santos, os que comigo fizeram aliança por meio de sacrifícios.
6 And the heavens tell of his righteousness; for God is judge himself. Selah.
6 Os céus anunciam a sua justiça, porque é o próprio Deus que julga.
7 "Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: God, thy God, am I.
7 Escuta, povo meu, e eu falarei; ó Israel, e eu testemunharei contra ti. Eu sou Deus, o teu Deus.
8 Not because of thy sacrifices will I reprove thee; and thy burntofferings are continually before me.
8 Não te repreendo pelos teus sacrifícios, nem pelos teus holocaustos continuamente perante mim.
9 I will not take a bullock out of thy house, nor hegoats out of thy folds.
9 De tua casa não aceitarei novilhos, nem bodes, dos teus apriscos.
10 For mine are all the beasts of the forest, the cattle upon a thousand mountains.
10 Pois são meus todos os animais do bosque e as alimárias aos milhares sobre as montanhas.
11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: whatever moveth on the fields is with me.
11 Conheço todas as aves dos montes, e são meus todos os animais que pululam no campo.
12 If I were hungry, I would not say it to thee; for mine is the world, and what filleth it.
12 Se eu tivesse fome, não to diria, pois o mundo é meu e quanto nele se contém.
13 Do I eat the flesh of fatted bulls, or drink the blood of hegoats?
13 Acaso, como eu carne de touros? Ou bebo sangue de cabritos?
14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay unto the Most High thy vows;
14 Oferece a Deus sacrifício de ações de graças e cumpre os teus votos para com o Altíssimo;
15 And call on me on the day of distress: I will deliver thee, and so wilt thou glorify me."
15 invoca-me no dia da angústia; eu te livrarei, e tu me glorificarás.
16 But unto the wicked God saith, "What hast thou to do to relate my statutes, and why bearest thou my covenant upon thy mouth?
16 Mas ao ímpio diz Deus: De que te serve repetires os meus preceitos e teres nos lábios a minha aliança,
17 And yet thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
17 uma vez que aborreces a disciplina e rejeitas as minhas palavras?
18 When thou seest a thief, then art thou pleased with him, and with adulterers hast thou thy portion.
18 Se vês um ladrão, tu te comprazes nele e aos adúlteros te associas.
19 Thou lettest loose thy mouth with evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
19 Soltas a boca para o mal, e a tua língua trama enganos.
20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; against thy own mothers son thou utterest slander.
20 Sentas-te para falar contra teu irmão e difamas o filho de tua mãe.
21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence: thou didst ween that I am like thyself; but I will reprove thee, and set it in order before thy eyes."
21 Tens feito estas coisas, e eu me calei; pensavas que eu era teu igual; mas eu te arguirei e porei tudo à tua vista.
22 Do but reflect on this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, with none to deliver.
22 Considerai, pois, nisto, vós que vos esqueceis de Deus, para que não vos despedace, sem haver quem vos livre.
23 Whoso offereth thanksgiving glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his course aright, will I show the salvation of God.
23 O que me oferece sacrifício de ações de graças, esse me glorificará; e ao que prepara o seu caminho, dar-lhe-ei que veja a salvação de Deus.
