Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs NAA
1 Then answered Bildad the Shuchite, and said,
1 Então Bildade, o suíta, tomou a palavra e disse:
2 When will ye at length put an end to words? Come to an understanding, and afterward let us speak.
2 “Até quando você andará à caça de palavras? Considere bem, e então falaremos.
3 For what cause are we counted as beasts, reputed stupid your eyes?
3 Por que somos considerados como animais e passamos por tolos aos seus olhos?
4 Thou, the one that teareth himself to pieces in his anger shall for thy sake the earth be forsaken, and the rock be moved away out of its place?
4 Você, que se despedaça em sua ira, pensa que a terra será abandonada por sua causa? Você pensa que as rochas devem ser tiradas do seu lugar?”
5 Ah, truly the light of the wicked will be quenched, and the spark of his fire shall not give light.
5 “Na verdade, a luz do ímpio se apagará, e a chama do seu fogo não resplandecerá.
6 The light becometh dark in his tent, and his lamp will be quenched above him.
6 A luz se escurecerá na sua tenda, e a sua lâmpada sobre ele se apagará.
7 His powerful steps will be narrowed, and his own counsel will cast him down.
7 Os seus passos vigorosos se estreitarão, e a sua própria trama o derrubará.
8 For he is driven into the net by his own feet, and he taketh his walk upon a snare.
8 Porque por seus próprios pés é lançado na rede e andará sobre as suas malhas.
9 The trap will seize him by the heel, and the robber will prevail over him.
9 A armadilha o apanhará pelo calcanhar, e o laço o prenderá.
10 The cord is hidden for him in the ground, and a trap is set for him on the pathway.
10 A corda está escondida na terra para apanhá-lo, a armadilha se encontra no seu caminho.
11 All around do terrors scare him, and chase him as he walketh along.
11 Terrores o amedrontam de todos os lados e o perseguem a cada passo.
12 His firstborn will suffer hunger, and calamity will be ready for his wife.
12 A calamidade virá faminta sobre ele, e a miséria estará alerta ao seu lado.
13 It will devour the limbs of his body: yea, the firstborn of death will devour his limbs.
13 Ela devorará os membros do seu corpo; serão devorados pelo primogênito da morte.
14 Then will be plucked up out of his tent his confidence, and the evil will urge him forward to the king of terrors.
14 O ímpio será arrancado da segurança de sua tenda, e será levado ao rei dos terrores.
15 It will dwell in his tent, because it is no more his: there will be strewed sulphur on his habitation.
15 Nenhum dos seus irá morar na sua tenda; enxofre será espalhado sobre a sua habitação.
16 Beneath, his roots will be dried up, and above will his boughs he cut away.
16 Por baixo secarão as suas raízes, e por cima murcharão os seus ramos.
17 His resemblance vanisheth from the earth, and no name remaineth for him in the streets.
17 A sua memória desaparecerá da terra, e pelas praças não terá nome.
18 Men will thrust him out from light into darkness, and out of the world will they drive him.
18 Da luz o lançarão nas trevas e o afugentarão do mundo.
19 He will have neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any that escapeth in the places of his sojourning.
19 Não terá filho nem posteridade entre o seu povo, nem sobrevivente algum ficará nas suas moradas.
20 Because of his calamitous day are they that come after him astonished, and they that went before are seized with shuddering.
20 Do seu dia se espantarão os do Ocidente, e os do Oriente serão tomados de horror.
21 Yea, such are the dwellings of the unjust, and this is the place of one that knew not God.
21 Tais são, na verdade, as moradas do ímpio, e este é o paradeiro daquele que não conhece Deus.”
