Isaías 32

1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.
1 Vejam, aí vem um rei justo! Seus príncipes governarão com retidão.
2 And every one shall be as a hidingplace from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivulets of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a large rock in a languishing land.
2 Cada um será como abrigo contra o vento e refúgio contra a tempestade, como riacho no deserto e sombra de uma grande pedra em terra seca.
3 And the eyes of those that see shall not be blinded again, and the ears of those that hear shall hearken.
3 Então todos que têm olhos verão a verdade, e todos que têm ouvidos a ouvirão.
4 The heart also of the rash shall be attentive in order to know, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
4 Até os que se iram depressa terão bom senso e entendimento, e os que gaguejam falarão com clareza.
5 The worthless person shall be no more called liberal, and the avaricious man shall not be said to be bountiful.
5 Naquele dia, os tolos não serão considerados heróis, e as pessoas sem caráter não serão respeitadas.
6 For the worthless person ever speaketh villany, and his heart will work injustice, to practise hypocrisy, and to speak error against the Lord, to leave empty the soul of the hungry, and the drink of the thirsty will he take away.
6 Pois os tolos dizem tolices e planejam o mal. Praticam a perversidade e espalham falsos ensinamentos a respeito do S Negam comida aos famintos e não dão água aos sedentos.
7 The instruments also of the avaricious man are evil: he deviseth wicked resolves to destroy the poor with words of falsehood, even when the needy speaketh what is right.
7 As artimanhas dessa gente sem caráter são perversas; tramam planos maldosos e mentem para condenar os pobres, mesmo quando a causa dos pobres é justa.
8 But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and he ever persisteth by liberal things.
8 Os generosos, porém, planejam fazer o que é generoso e permanecem firmes em sua generosidade.
9 Ye careless women rise up, hear my voice; ye daughters that are secure, give ear unto my speech.
9 Ouçam, mulheres negligentes; prestem atenção, vocês que são tão arrogantes.
10 After days and years shall ye shudder, ye women that are secure; for ended is the vintage, the fruit gathering shall nowise come.
10 Em breve, pouco mais de um ano, vocês, presunçosas, ficarão apavoradas. Suas plantações de frutas nada produzirão, e não haverá colheitas.
11 Tremble, ye careless women; shudder, ye that are secure, strip off your garments and make yourselves bare, and gird sackcloth upon the loins.
11 Tremam, mulheres negligentes, deixem de lado sua arrogância. Arranquem suas lindas roupas e vistam-se de pano de saco.
12 They shall strike on the breast, lamenting, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.
12 Batam no peito em lamento por suas belas propriedades e videiras frutíferas.
13 Upon the soil of my people thorns and briers shall come up; yea, upon all the houses of joy of the gladsome town.
13 Pois suas terras ficarão cobertas de espinhos e mato; seus lares alegres e suas cidades felizes desaparecerão.
14 Because the palace is abandoned, the tumult of the city is forsaken; the hill and watchtower are become dens for a long time, a joyous haunt for wild asses, a pasture for flocks.
14 O palácio será abandonado, e a cidade, sempre agitada, ficará vazia. Jumentos selvagens andarão soltos, e rebanhos pastarão nas fortalezas
15 Until a spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be changed into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be accounted as a forest.
15 até que, por fim, o Espírito seja derramado do céu sobre nós. Então o deserto se tornará campo fértil, e o campo fértil produzirá colheitas fartas.
16 Then shall justice dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness abide in the fruitful field.
16 A retidão governará no deserto, e a justiça, no campo fértil.
17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and security for ever.
17 E essa justiça trará paz; haverá sossego e confiança para sempre.
18 And then shall my people abide in peaceful dwellings, and secure abodes, and in undisturbed restingplaces.
18 Meu povo viverá em paz, tranquilo em seu lar; terá descanso e segurança.
19 And it shall spread itself out in the declivity of the forest; and far down in the lowlands shall the city descend.
19 Ainda que os bosques sejam destruídos e a cidade seja arrasada,
20 Happy are ye that sow beside all waters, freely sending forth the feet of the ox and the ass.
20 o povo será abençoado. Onde quer que semeiem, terão colheitas fartas; seu gado e seus jumentos pastarão livremente.
