1 Halelu-JAH. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise [him], O ye servants of the LORD.
1 Louvado seja o S enhor ! Louvem o nome do S Louvem-no vocês, servos do S
2 Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,
2 vocês que servem na casa do S enhor , nos pátios da casa de nosso Deus.
3 praise JAH; for the LORD [is] good; sing praises unto his name; for [it is] pleasant.
3 Louvem o S enhor , porque o S enhor é bom; celebrem seu nome amável com música.
4 For JAH has chosen Jacob unto himself [and] Israel for his own possession.
4 Pois o S enhor escolheu Jacó para si; Israel é seu tesouro especial.
5 For I know that the LORD [is] great and [that] our Lord [is] above all gods.
5 Sim, conheço a grandeza do S enhor ; nosso Senhor é maior que qualquer outro deus.
6 Whatever the LORD desired, he did in the heavens and in the earth, in the seas and in all the deep places.
6 O S enhor faz tudo como deseja, nos céus e na terra, nos mares e em suas profundezas.
7 He who causes the clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth, made the lightnings in the rain; he who brings the winds out of his treasuries.
7 Faz as nuvens subirem sobre toda a terra, envia os relâmpagos que acompanham a chuva e manda o vento sair de seus depósitos.
8 He who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast;
8 Matou o filho mais velho de todos os lares egípcios, tanto das pessoas como dos animais.
9 sent signs and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
9 Realizou sinais e maravilhas no Egito, contra o faraó e todo o seu povo.
10 He who smote many Gentiles and slew mighty kings,
10 Destruiu grandes nações e matou reis poderosos:
11 Sihon king of the Amorites and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan
11 Seom, rei dos amorreus, Ogue, rei de Basã, e todos os reis de Canaã.
12 gave their land [for] a heritage, a heritage unto Israel his people.
12 Entregou a terra deles como herança, sim, como herança a seu povo, Israel.
13 Thy name, O LORD, [is] eternal, [and] thy memorial, O LORD, from generation to generation.
13 Teu nome, ó S enhor , permanece para sempre; tua fama, ó S
14 For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.
14 Pois o S enhor fará justiça ao seu povo e terá compaixão de seus servos.
15 The idols of the Gentiles [are] silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
15 Os ídolos das nações não passam de objetos de prata e de ouro, formados por mãos humanas.
16 They have a mouth, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see;
16 Têm boca, mas não falam; olhos, mas não veem.
17 they have ears, but they do not hear; neither is there [any] spirit in their mouths.
17 Têm ouvidos, mas não ouvem; em sua boca, não há fôlego de vida.
18 [Let] those that make them become like unto them [and] every one that trusts in them.
18 Aqueles que fazem ídolos e neles confiam são exatamente iguais a eles.
19 Bless the LORD, O house of Israel; bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:
19 Ó Israel, louve o S enhor ! Ó sacerdotes, descendentes de Arão, louvem o S
20 Bless the LORD, O house of Levi; ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.
20 Ó levitas, louvem o S enhor ! Todos vocês que temem o S
21 Blessed be the LORD out of Zion who dwells at Jerusalem. Halelu-JAH.:
