Provérbios 28
English Jubilee 2000 Bible (JUBL2000) vs ARIB
1 The wicked flee when no man pursues, but the righteous are bold as [a] young lion.
1 Fogem os ímpios, sem que ninguém os persiga; mas os justos são ousados como o leão.
2 By the rebellion of the land, many [are] its princes, but by the man of understanding [and] wisdom the [land] shall remain stable.
2 Por causa da transgressão duma terra são muitos os seus príncipes; mas por virtude de homens prudentes e entendidos, ela subsistirá por longo tempo.
3 A poor man that oppresses the poor [is like] a sweeping rain which leaves no food.
3 O homem pobre que oprime os pobres, é como chuva impetuosa, que não deixa trigo nenhum.
4 Those that forsake the law praise the wicked, but such as keep the law contend with them.
4 Os que abandonam a lei louvam os ímpios; mas os que guardam a lei pelejam contra eles.
5 Evil men do not understand judgment, but those that seek the LORD understand all [things].
5 Os homens maus não entendem a justiça; mas os que buscam ao Senhor a entendem plenamente.
6 Better [is] the poor that walks in his perfection than [he that is] perverse [in his] ways, though he [is] rich.
6 Melhor é o pobre que anda na sua integridade, do que o rico perverso nos seus caminhos.
7 Whosoever keeps the law [is] a wise son, but he that is a companion of gluttons shames his father.
7 O que guarda a lei é filho sábio; mas o companheiro dos comilões envergonha a seu pai.
8 He that by usury and unjust gain increases his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
8 O que aumenta a sua riqueza com juros e usura, ajunta-a para o que se compadece do pobre.
9 He that turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer [shall be] abomination.
9 O que desvia os seus ouvidos de ouvir a lei, até a sua oração é abominável.
10 Whosoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit, but the perfect shall inherit [every] good [thing].
10 O que faz com que os retos se desviem para um mau caminho, ele mesmo cairá na cova que abriu; mas os inocentes herdarão o bem.
11 The rich man [is] wise in his own conceit, but the poor that has understanding is wiser than he.
11 O homem rico é sábio aos seus próprios olhos; mas o pobre que tem entendimento o esquadrinha.
12 When the righteous rejoice, [there is] great glory, but when the wicked rise, the sane man hides himself.
12 Quando os justos triunfam há grande, glória; mas quando os ímpios sobem, escondem-se os homens.
13 He that covers his sins shall not prosper, but whosoever confesses and forsakes [them] shall attain mercy.
13 O que encobre as suas transgressões nunca prosperará; mas o que as confessa e deixa, alcançará misericórdia.
14 Blessed [is] the man that fears [God] always, but he that hardens his heart shall fall into evil.
14 Feliz é o homem que teme ao Senhor continuamente; mas o que endurece o seu coração virá a cair no mal.
15 As a roaring lion and a hungry bear, [so is] a wicked ruler over the poor people.
15 Como leão bramidor, e urso faminto, assim é o ímpio que domina sobre um povo pobre.
16 The prince void of intelligence [is] also a great oppressor, [but] he that hates covetousness shall prolong [his] days.
16 O príncipe falto de entendimento é também opressor cruel; mas o que aborrece a avareza prolongará os seus dias.
17 A man that does violence to the blood of [any] person shall flee all the way to the grave, and no one shall sustain him.
17 O homem culpado do sangue de qualquer pessoa será fugitivo até a morte; ninguém o ajude.
18 Whosoever walks in integrity shall be saved, but [he that is] perverse [in his] ways shall fall into one of them.
18 O que anda retamente salvar-se-á; mas o perverso em seus caminhos cairá de repente.
19 He that tills his land shall be filled with bread, but he that follows after vain [persons] shall be filled with poverty.
19 O que lavra a sua terra se fartará de pão; mas o que segue os ociosos se encherá de pobreza.
20 The man of truth shall abound with blessings, but he that makes haste to be rich shall not be absolved.
20 O homem fiel gozará de abundantes bênçãos; mas o que se apressa a enriquecer não ficará impune.
21 To have respect of persons [in judgment] is not good; even for a piece of bread, man will transgress.
21 Fazer acepção de pessoas não é bom; mas até por um bocado de pão prevaricará o homem.
22 He that hastens to be rich [has] an evil eye and does not consider that poverty shall come upon him.
22 Aquele que é cobiçoso corre atrás das riquezas; e não sabe que há de vir sobre ele a penúria.
23 He that rebukes a man, afterwards shall find more favour than he that flatters with the tongue.
23 O que repreende a um homem achará depois mais favor do que aquele que lisonjeia com a língua.
24 Whosoever robs his father or his mother and says, [It is] no transgression; the same [is] the companion of the destroyer.
24 O que rouba a seu pai, ou a sua mãe, e diz: Isso não é transgressão; esse é companheiro do destruidor.
25 He that is of a proud heart stirs up strife, but he that puts his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.
25 O cobiçoso levanta contendas; mas o que confia no senhor prosperará.
26 He that trusts in his own heart is a fool, but whosoever walks in wisdom, he shall be saved.
26 O que confia no seu próprio coração é insensato; mas o que anda sabiamente será livre.
27 He that gives unto the poor shall never lack, but he that hides his eyes [from the poor] shall have many a curse.
27 O que dá ao pobre não terá falta; mas o que esconde os seus olhos terá muitas maldições.
28 When the wicked rise, sane men hide themselves; but when they perish, the righteous multiply.:
28 Quando os ímpios sobem, escondem-se os homens; mas quando eles perecem, multiplicam-se os justos.
