1 So they brought the ark of God and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it, and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace [offerings] before God.
1 Levaram a arca da aliança para a barraca que Davi tinha preparado para ela e a colocaram lá dentro. Então ofereceram a Deus sacrifícios que foram completamente queimados e ofertas de paz.
2 And when David had finished offering the burnt offerings and the peace [offerings], he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.
2 Depois que Davi acabou de oferecer os sacrifícios, abençoou o povo em nome do Senhor
3 And he dealt to all Israel, both men and women, to each one a loaf of bread and a good piece of flesh and a flagon [of wine].
3 e distribuiu comida a todos. Deu a cada homem e a cada mulher de Israel um pão, um pedaço de carne assada e passas.
4 And he appointed [certain] of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD and to record and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:
4 Davi nomeou alguns levitas para dirigirem a adoração ao Senhor , o Deus de Israel, cantando e louvando a Deus, em frente da arca da aliança.
5 Asaph, the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obededom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps, but Asaph resounded with cymbals;
5 Asafe foi nomeado o chefe deles, e Zacarias, o seu ajudante. Para tocarem lira , foram nomeados: Jeiel, Semiramote, Jeiel, Matitias, Eliabe, Benaías, Obede-Edom e Jeiel. Para tocar pratos, foi nomeado Asafe,
6 and Benaiah and Jahaziel, the priests, with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
6 e, para tocarem trombeta todos os dias em frente da arca da aliança, foram nomeados os sacerdotes Benaías e Jaaziel.
7 Then, on that day, David began to thank the LORD by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
7 Foi nesse dia que Davi deu pela primeira vez a Asafe e aos seus colegas levitas a responsabilidade de cantarem louvores a Deus, o Senhor .
8 Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
8 Agradeçam a Deus, o Senhor , anunciem a sua grandeza e contem às nações as coisas que ele fez.
9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, speak of all his wondrous works.
9 Cantem a Deus, cantem louvores a ele, falem dos seus atos maravilhosos.
10 Glory in his holy name; let the heart of those that seek the LORD rejoice.
10 Tenham orgulho daquilo que o Santo Deus tem feito. Que fique alegre o coração de todos os que adoram ao
11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
11 Procurem a ajuda do Senhor ; estejam sempre na sua presença. vocês, descendentes de Jacó, o escolhido de Deus, lembrem de tudo o que Deus tem feito, lembrem dos seus grandes e maravilhosos milagres e de como tem condenado os nossos inimigos!
12 Remember his marvellous works that he has done, his wonders and the judgments of his mouth;

13 O, ye seed of Israel, his servant, ye sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.
13 — ausente —
14 He [is] the LORD our God; his judgments [are] in all the earth.
14 Ele é o Senhor , nosso Deus; os seus mandamentos são para o mundo inteiro.
15 Be mindful always of his covenant, the word [which] he commanded in a thousand generations,
15 Ele sempre lembrará da sua aliança e, por milhares de
16 the covenant which he cut with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
16 Ele será fiel à aliança feita com Abraão e à promessa que fez com juramento a Isaque.
17 which he confirmed unto Jacob by statute, [and] to Israel in everlasting covenant,
17 Deus fez uma aliança com Jacó para sempre, fez com ele uma aliança eterna.
18 saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the cord of your inheritance,
18 Naquela ocasião Deus disse: “Eu lhe darei a terra de Canaã, e ela será de vocês para sempre.”
19 when ye were but few in number, and strangers in it.
19 Eles eram muito poucos, eram estrangeiros na
20 And they went from nation to nation and from [one] kingdom to another people.
20 Andavam de país em país, de reino em reino.
21 He would allow no one to oppress them; he reproved kings for their sakes,
21 Mas Deus não deixou que ninguém os maltratasse e, para protegê-los, avisou reis.
22 [saying], Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
22 Ele disse: “Não toquem nos servos que eu escolhi; não maltratem os meus
23 Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; show forth from day to day his saving health.
23 Cantem ao Senhor , todos os povos da terra. Anunciem todos os dias que ele nos salvou.
24 Declare his glory among the Gentiles; his marvellous works among all peoples.
24 Falem da sua glória às nações; contem a todos os povos as coisas maravilhosas que ele tem feito.
25 For great [is] the LORD, and greatly to be praised; he also [is] to be feared above all gods.
25 O Senhor é grande e merece todo o nosso louvor; ele deve ser
26 For all the gods of the people [are] worthless, but the LORD made the heavens.
26 Pois os deuses das outras nações são somente ídolos, mas o
27 Glory and beauty [are] in his presence; strength and gladness [are] in his place.
27 Ele está cercado de glória e majestade; poder e beleza enchem o seu Templo.
28 Give unto the LORD, ye families of the peoples, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
28 Louvem o Senhor , todos os povos da terra! Louvem a sua glória e o seu poder.
29 Give unto the LORD the glory of his name; bring a present and come before him; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
29 Deem ao Senhor a honra que ele merece; tragam uma oferta e entrem nos pátios do seu Templo. Curvem-se diante do Santo Deus quando ele aparecer;
30 Fear before him, all the earth; the world also is being made stable, that it be not moved.
30 trema diante dele, toda a terra. A terra está firme no seu lugar e não pode ser abalada.
31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; and let [men] say among the Gentiles, The LORD reigns.
31 Alegre-se a terra, e fique contente o céu. Digam em todas as nações: “O
32 Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof; let the fields rejoice, and all that [is] therein.
32 Ruja o mar e todas as criaturas que nele vivem. Alegrem-se os campos e tudo o que há neles.
33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he comes to judge the earth.
33 Então as árvores dos bosques gritarão de alegria diante de Deus, o Senhor , pois ele vem governar a terra.
34 O give thanks unto the LORD, for [he is] good; for his mercy is eternal.
34 Deem graças ao Senhor porque ele é bom, e o seu amor dura para sempre.
35 And say, Save us, O God our saving health, and gather us together and deliver us from the Gentiles, that we may give thanks to thy holy name [and] glory in thy praise.
35 Digam a ele: “Liberta-nos, ó Senhor , nosso Salvador! Ajunta-nos e tira-nos do meio dos pagãos. Assim nós te daremos graças e com prazer te louvaremos, ó Santo Deus.”
36 Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel from eternity unto eternity. And all the people said, Amen and praised the LORD.
36 Louvemos o Senhor , o Deus de Israel. Louvem o Então todo o povo disse “
37 So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren to minister before the ark continually, each thing in its day;
37 O rei Davi pôs Asafe e os seus colegas levitas como encarregados permanentes da adoração que era feita no lugar onde a arca da aliança havia sido colocada. Eles deviam cumprir ali os seus deveres todos os dias.
38 and Obededom with their brethren, sixty-eight; Obededom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah [to be] porters.
38 Obede-Edom, filho de Jedutum, e sessenta e oito homens do seu grupo de famílias deviam ser os seus ajudantes. Hosa e Obede-Edom eram os guardas dos portões.
39 And Zadok, the priest, and his brethren, the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that [was] at Gibeon,
39 Porém o sacerdote Zadoque e os seus colegas estavam encarregados do culto ao Senhor Deus na Tenda Sagrada , que estava no lugar de adoração em Gibeão.
40 to offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;
40 Todas as manhãs e todas as tardes eles deviam oferecer no altar sacrifícios que seriam completamente queimados, de acordo com o que está escrito na Lei que o Senhor deu ao povo de Israel.
41 and with them Heman and Jeduthun and the rest that were chosen expressly by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy is eternal.
41 Estavam ali com eles Hemã e Jedutum e os outros que haviam sido nomeados a fim de cantar louvores ao Senhor por causa do seu amor que dura para sempre.
42 And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals to sound, and with [other] musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun [were] porters.
42 Hemã e Jedutum também estavam encarregados das trombetas, dos pratos e dos outros instrumentos que eram tocados para acompanhar os hinos de louvor. Os membros do grupo de famílias de Jedutum estavam encarregados de guardar os portões.
43 And all the people departed each one to his house; and David returned to bless his house.:
43 Então todos foram para casa, e Davi também foi, a fim de passar algum tempo com a sua família.
