1 A song or Psalme of Heman the Ezrahite to give instruction, committed to the sonnes of Korah for him that excelleth upon Malath Leannoth. O Lord God of my saluation, I cry day and night before thee.
1 Senhor , Deus da minha salvação, diante de ti tenho clamado de dia e de noite.
2 Let my prayer enter into thy presence: incline thine eare vnto my cry.
2 Chegue a minha oração perante a tua face, inclina os teus ouvidos ao meu clamor.
3 For my soule is filled with euils, and my life draweth neere to the graue.
3 Porque a minha alma está cheia de angústias, e a minha vida se aproxima da sepultura.
4 I am counted among them that go downe vnto the pit, and am as a man without strength:
4 Já estou contado com os que descem à cova; estou como um homem sem forças,
5 Free among the dead, like the slaine lying in the graue, whome thou remembrest no more, and they are cut off from thine hand.
5 posto entre os mortos; como os feridos de morte que jazem na sepultura, dos quais te não lembras mais; antes, os exclui a tua mão.
6 Thou hast layde me in the lowest pit, in darkenes, and in the deepe.
6 Puseste-me no mais profundo do abismo, em trevas e nas profundezas.
7 Thine indignation lyeth vpon me, and thou hast vexed me with all thy waues. Selah.
7 Sobre mim pesa a tua cólera; tu me abateste com todas as tuas ondas. (Selá)
8 Thou hast put away mine acquaintance farre from me, and made mee to be abhorred of them: I am shut vp, and cannot get foorth.
8 Alongaste de mim os meus conhecidos e fizeste-me em extremo abominável para eles; estou fechado e não posso sair.
9 Mine eye is sorowfull through mine affliction: Lord, I call dayly vpon thee: I stretch out mine hands vnto thee.
9 A minha vista desmaia por causa da aflição. Senhor , tenho clamado a ti todo o dia, tenho estendido para ti as minhas mãos.
10 Wilt thou shewe a miracle to the dead? or shall the dead rise and prayse thee? Selah.
10 Mostrarás tu maravilhas aos mortos, ou os mortos se levantarão e te louvarão? (Selá)
11 Shall thy louing kindenes be declared in the graue? or thy faithfulnes in destruction?
11 Será anunciada a tua benignidade na sepultura, ou a tua fidelidade na perdição?
12 Shall thy wonderous workes be knowen in the darke? and thy righteousnes in the land of obliuion?
12 Saber-se-ão as tuas maravilhas nas trevas, e a tua justiça na terra do esquecimento?
13 But vnto thee haue I cryed, O Lord, and early shall my prayer come before thee.
13 Eu, porém, Senhor , clamo a ti, e de madrugada te envio a minha oração.
14 Lord, why doest thou reiect my soule, and hidest thy face from me?
14 Senhor , por que rejeitas a minha alma? Por que escondes de mim a tua face?
15 I am afflicted and at the point of death: from my youth I suffer thy terrours, doubting of my life.
15 Estou aflito e prestes a morrer, desde a minha mocidade; quando sofro os teus terrores, fico perturbado.
16 Thine indignations goe ouer me, and thy feare hath cut me off.
16 A tua ardente indignação sobre mim vai passando; os teus terrores fazem-me perecer.
17 They came round about me dayly like water, and compassed me together.
17 Como águas me rodeiam todo o dia; cercam-me todos juntos.
18 My louers and friends hast thou put away from me, and mine acquaintance hid themselues.
18 Afastaste para longe de mim amigos e companheiros; os meus íntimos amigos agora são trevas.
