1 For the excellent musician Ieduthun. A Psalme committed to Asaph. My voyce came to God, when I cryed: my voyce came to God, and he heard me.
1 Eu grito bem alto para Deus; grito, e ele me ouve.
2 In the day of my trouble I sought ye Lord: my sore ranne and ceased not in the night: my soule refused comfort.
2 Nas horas de aflição eu oro ao Senhor; durante a noite, levanto as mãos em oração, porém não encontro consolo.
3 I did thinke vpon God, and was troubled: I praied, and my spirit was full of anguish. Selah.
3 Penso em Deus e começo a gemer; começo a pensar e fico desanimado.
4 Thou keepest mine eyes waking: I was astonied and could not speake.
4 Deus não me deixa dormir. Estou tão preocupado, que não posso falar.
5 Then I considered the daies of olde, and the yeeres of ancient time.
5 Penso nos dias que já passaram e nos anos que se foram há muito tempo.
6 I called to remembrance my song in the night: I communed with mine owne heart, and my spirit searched diligently.
6 Gasto as noites em pensamentos profundos, começo a meditar e a mim mesmo faço estas perguntas:
7 Will the Lord absent him selfe for euer? and will he shewe no more fauour?
7 “Será que o Senhor vai nos rejeitar para sempre? Será que ele nunca mais vai ficar contente conosco?
8 Is his mercie cleane gone for euer? doeth his promise faile for euermore?
8 Será que deixou de nos amar? Será que a sua promessa não tem mais valor?
9 Hath God forgotten to be mercifull? hath he shut vp his teder mercies in displeasure? Selah.
9 Será que Deus esqueceu de ser bondoso? Será que a da sua compaixão?”
10 And I sayde, This is my death: yet I remembred the yeeres of the right hand of the most High.
10 Então eu disse assim: “O pior de tudo é que o Deus Altíssimo não quer nos ajudar mais como antes.”
11 I remembred the workes of the Lord: certainely I remembred thy wonders of olde.
11 Ó Senhor Deus, eu lembrarei dos teus feitos maravilhosos! Recordarei as maravilhas que fizeste no passado.
12 I did also meditate all thy woorkes, and did deuise of thine actes, saying,
12 Pensarei em tudo o que tens feito, meditarei em todos os teus atos poderosos.
13 Thy way, O God, is in the Sanctuarie: who is so great a God as our God!
13 Ó Deus, tudo o que fazes é santo. Não há deus que seja tão grande como o nosso Deus.
14 Thou art ye God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy power among the people.
14 Tu és o Deus que faz milagres; tu tens mostrado o teu poder entre as nações.
15 Thou hast redeemed thy people with thine arme, euen the sonnes of Iaakob and Ioseph. Selah.
15 Pela tua força, salvaste o teu povo, os descendentes de Jacó e de José.
16 The waters sawe thee, O God: the waters sawe thee, and were afraide: yea, the depths trembled.
16 Ó Deus, quando as águas te viram, ficaram com medo, as águas profundas do mar tremeram.
17 The cloudes powred out water: the heauens gaue a sounde: yea, thine arrowes went abroade.
17 As nuvens derramaram chuva, houve trovoada nas alturas, e os relâmpagos riscaram o céu em todas as direções.
18 The voyce of thy thunder was rounde about: the lightnings lightened the worlde: the earth trembled and shooke.
18 O estrondo dos teus trovões se espalhou por toda parte; os relâmpagos iluminaram o mundo inteiro, e a terra foi sacudida e tremeu.
19 Thy way is in the Sea, and thy paths in the great waters, and thy footesteps are not knowen.
19 Tu andaste pelo meio do mar, abriste caminho no oceano profundo, mas ninguém viu as marcas dos teus pés.
20 Thou diddest leade thy people like sheepe by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
20 Como um pastor, dirigiste o teu povo pelas mãos de Moisés e de Arão.
