1 For the excellent musician Ieduthun. A Psalme committed to Asaph. My voyce came to God, when I cryed: my voyce came to God, and he heard me.
1 Clamei a Deus com a minha voz; a Deus levantei a minha voz, e ele inclinou para mim os ouvidos.
2 In the day of my trouble I sought ye Lord: my sore ranne and ceased not in the night: my soule refused comfort.
2 No dia da minha angústia busquei ao Senhor; a minha mão se estendeu de noite e não cessava; a minha alma recusava ser consolada.
3 I did thinke vpon God, and was troubled: I praied, and my spirit was full of anguish. Selah.
3 Lembrava-me de Deus e me perturbava; queixava-me, e o meu espírito desfalecia. (Selá)
4 Thou keepest mine eyes waking: I was astonied and could not speake.
4 Sustentaste os meus olhos vigilantes; estou tão perturbado, que não posso falar.
5 Then I considered the daies of olde, and the yeeres of ancient time.
5 Considerava os dias da antiguidade, os anos dos tempos passados.
6 I called to remembrance my song in the night: I communed with mine owne heart, and my spirit searched diligently.
6 De noite chamei à lembrança o meu cântico; meditei em meu coração, e o meu espírito investigou:
7 Will the Lord absent him selfe for euer? and will he shewe no more fauour?
7 Rejeitará o Senhor para sempre e não tornará a ser favorável?
8 Is his mercie cleane gone for euer? doeth his promise faile for euermore?
8 Cessou para sempre a sua benignidade? Acabou-se já a promessa que veio de geração em geração?
9 Hath God forgotten to be mercifull? hath he shut vp his teder mercies in displeasure? Selah.
9 Esqueceu-se Deus de ter misericórdia? Ou encerrou ele as suas misericórdias na sua ira? (Selá)
10 And I sayde, This is my death: yet I remembred the yeeres of the right hand of the most High.
10 E eu disse: isto é enfermidade minha; e logo me lembrei dos anos da destra do Altíssimo.
11 I remembred the workes of the Lord: certainely I remembred thy wonders of olde.
11 Lembrar-me-ei, pois, das obras do Senhor ; certamente que me lembrarei das tuas maravilhas da antiguidade.
12 I did also meditate all thy woorkes, and did deuise of thine actes, saying,
12 Meditarei também em todas as tuas obras e falarei dos teus feitos.
13 Thy way, O God, is in the Sanctuarie: who is so great a God as our God!
13 O teu caminho, ó Deus, está no santuário. Que deus é tão grande como o nosso Deus?
14 Thou art ye God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy power among the people.
14 Tu és o Deus que fazes maravilhas; tu fizeste notória a tua força entre os povos.
15 Thou hast redeemed thy people with thine arme, euen the sonnes of Iaakob and Ioseph. Selah.
15 Com o teu braço remiste o teu povo, os filhos de Jacó e de José. (Selá)
16 The waters sawe thee, O God: the waters sawe thee, and were afraide: yea, the depths trembled.
16 As águas te viram, ó Deus, as águas te viram, e tremeram; os abismos também se abalaram.
17 The cloudes powred out water: the heauens gaue a sounde: yea, thine arrowes went abroade.
17 Grossas nuvens se desfizeram em água; os céus retumbaram; as tuas flechas correram de uma para outra parte.
18 The voyce of thy thunder was rounde about: the lightnings lightened the worlde: the earth trembled and shooke.
18 A voz do teu trovão repercutiu-se nos ares; os relâmpagos alumiaram o mundo; a terra se abalou e tremeu.
19 Thy way is in the Sea, and thy paths in the great waters, and thy footesteps are not knowen.
19 Pelo mar foi teu caminho, e tuas veredas, pelas grandes águas; e as tuas pegadas não se conheceram.
20 Thou diddest leade thy people like sheepe by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
20 Guiaste o teu povo, como a um rebanho, pela mão de Moisés e de Arão.
