1 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for it becommeth vpright men to be thankefull.
1 Todos vocês que obedecem a Deus, o alegrem-se por causa daquilo que ele tem feito! Louvem a Deus, todas as pessoas honestas.
2 Prayse the Lord with harpe: sing vnto him with viole and instrument of ten strings.
2 Toquem lira em louvor ao Senhor , cantem louvores com acompanhamento de
3 Sing vnto him a newe song: sing cheerefully with a loude voyce.
3 Cantem a Deus uma nova canção, toquem harpa e gritem bem alto.
4 For the word of the Lord is righteous, and all his workes are faithfull.
4 As palavras do Senhor são verdadeiras; tudo o que ele faz merece confiança.
5 He loueth righteousnesse and iudgement: the earth is full of the goodnesse of the Lord.
5 O Senhor Deus ama tudo o que é certo e justo; a terra está cheia do seu amor.
6 By the worde of the Lord were the heauens made, and all the hoste of them by the breath of his mouth.
6 Por meio da sua palavra, o pela sua ordem, ele criou o sol, a lua e as estrelas.
7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as vpon an heape, and layeth vp the depths in his treasures.
7 Deus juntou os mares num lugar só e guardou os oceanos em reservatórios.
8 Let all the earth feare the Lord: let al them that dwell in the world, feare him.
8 Que toda a terra tema a Deus, o Que todos os habitantes do mundo o temam!
9 For he spake, and it was done: he commanded, and it stood.
9 Pois ele falou, e o mundo foi criado; ele deu ordem, e tudo apareceu.
10 The Lord breaketh the counsell of the heathen, and bringeth to nought the deuices of the people.
10 O Senhor acaba com os planos das nações, ele não deixa que eles se realizem.
11 The counsell of the Lord shall stand for euer, and the thoughts of his heart throughout all ages.
11 Mas o que o Senhor planeja dura para sempre, as suas decisões permanecem eternamente.
12 Blessed is that nation, whose God is the Lord: euen the people that he hath chosen for his inheritance.
12 Feliz a nação que tem o Feliz o povo que Deus escolheu para ser dele!
13 The Lord looketh downe from heauen, and beholdeth all the children of men.
13 O Senhor Deus olha do céu e vê toda a humanidade.
14 From the habitation of his dwelling he beholdeth all them that dwell in the earth.
14 Do lugar onde mora, ele observa todos os que vivem na terra.
15 He facioneth their hearts euery one, and vnderstandeth all their workes.
15 É Deus quem forma a mente deles e quem sabe tudo o que fazem.
16 The King is not saued by the multitude of an hoste, neither is the mightie man deliuered by great strength.
16 Nenhum rei vence por ter um exército poderoso, nem os soldados conseguem a vitória por causa da sua força.
17 A horse is a vaine helpe, and shall not deliuer any by his great strength.
17 Não são os cavalos de guerra que ganham a batalha; a sua grande força não pode salvar ninguém.
18 Beholde, the eye of the Lord is vpon them that feare him, and vpon them, that trust in his mercie,
18 É o Senhor Deus quem protege aqueles que o é ele quem guarda aqueles que confiam no seu amor.
19 To deliuer their soules from death, and to preserue them in famine.
19 Ele os salva da morte e nos tempos de fome os conserva com vida.
20 Our soule waiteth for the Lord: for he is our helpe and our shielde.
20 Nós pomos a nossa esperança em Deus, o ele é a nossa ajuda e o nosso
21 Surely our heart shall reioyce in him, because we trusted in his holy Name.
21 O nosso coração se alegra por causa do que o nós confiamos nele porque ele é santo.
22 Let thy mercie, O Lord, be vpon vs, as we trust in thee.
22 Ó Senhor Deus, que o teu amor nos acompanhe, pois nós pomos em ti a nossa esperança!
