1 And it was done in the second first sabbath [or Forsooth it was done in the first second sabbath], when he passed by the corns, his disciples plucked (some) ears of corn; and they rubbing (them) with their hands, ate (them).
1 Num sábado, enquanto Jesus caminhava pelos campos de cereal, seus discípulos colheram espigas, removeram a casca com as mãos e comeram os grãos.
2 And some of the Pharisees said to them, What do ye that, that is not leaveful in the sabbaths? (or Why do ye that, which is not lawful on the Sabbath?)
2 Alguns fariseus lhes disseram: “Por que vocês desobedecem à lei colhendo cereal no sábado?”.
3 And Jesus answered, and said to them, Have ye not read, what David did, when he hungered, and they that were with him;
3 Jesus respondeu: “Vocês não leram nas Escrituras o que fez Davi quando ele e seus companheiros tiveram fome?
4 how he entered into the house of God, and took (the) loaves of proposition, and ate (them), and gave to them that were with him; which loaves it was not leaveful to eat, (no) but only to priests [or no but to priests alone]. (how he entered into God’s House, and took the loaves of the showbread, and ate them, and gave them to those who were with him; which\+em bread\+em* it was not lawful to eat, except for the priests.)
4 Ele entrou na casa de Deus, comeu os pães sagrados que só os sacerdotes tinham permissão de comer e os deu também a seus companheiros”.
5 And he said to them, For man’s Son is Lord, yea, of the sabbath.
5 E acrescentou: “O Filho do Homem é senhor até mesmo do sábado”.
6 And it was done in another sabbath (or on another Sabbath), that he entered into a synagogue, and taught. And a man was there, and his right hand was dry.
6 Em outro sábado, enquanto Jesus ensinava na sinagoga, estava ali um homem cuja mão direita era deformada.
7 And the scribes and the Pharisees espied him, if he would heal him in the sabbath (or if he would heal him on the Sabbath), (so) that they should find cause, whereof they should accuse him.
7 Os mestres da lei e os fariseus observavam Jesus atentamente. Se ele curasse aquele homem, eles o acusariam, pois era sábado.
8 And he knew the thoughts of them, and he said to the man that had a dry hand, Rise up, and stand in the middle (of us). And he rose, and stood (there).
8 Jesus, porém, sabia o que planejavam e disse ao homem com a mão deformada: “Venha e fique aqui, diante de todos”, e o homem foi à frente.
9 And Jesus said to them, I ask you, if it is leaveful to do well in the sabbath [day], or evil? to make a soul safe, or to lose? (And Jesus said to them, I ask you, is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath day, or evil? to save a life, or a soul, or to destroy it?)
9 Então Jesus lhes disse: “Tenho uma pergunta para vocês: O que a lei permite fazer no sábado? O bem ou o mal? Salvar uma vida ou destruí-la?”.
10 And when he had beheld all men about, he said to the man, Hold forth thine hand. And he held (it) forth, and his hand was restored to health.
10 Depois, olhando para cada um ao redor, disse ao homem: “Estenda a mão”. O homem estendeu a mão, e ela foi restaurada.
11 And they were full-filled with unwisdom [or Soothly they were filled with unwisdom], and spake together, what they should do of Jesus (or what they would do about Jesus).
11 Com isso, os inimigos de Jesus ficaram furiosos e começaram a discutir o que fazer contra ele.
12 And it was done in those days, he went out into an hill to pray (or he went up onto a hill to pray); and he was all night dwelling in the prayer of God.
12 Certo dia, pouco depois, Jesus subiu a um monte para orar e passou a noite orando a Deus.
13 And when the day was come, he called his disciples, and chose twelve of them, which he called [or he named] also apostles;
13 Quando amanheceu, reuniu seus discípulos e escolheu doze para serem apóstolos. Estes são seus nomes:
14 Simon, whom he called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,
14 Simão, a quem ele chamou Pedro, André, irmão de Pedro, Tiago, João, Filipe, Bartolomeu,
15 Matthew and Thomas, James Alphaeus, and Simon, that is called Zelotes (or the Zealot),

16 Judas of James, and Judas Iscariot, that was (the) traitor.

17 And Jesus came down from the hill with them, and stood in a field place; and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people, of all Judea, and Jerusalem, and of the sea coasts, and of Tyre and Sidon, (or from all of Judea, and Jerusalem, and from the sea coasts, and from Tyre and Sidon), that came to hear him, and to be healed of their sicknesses;
17 Quando Jesus e os discípulos desceram do monte, pararam numa região plana e ampla. Havia ali muitos de seus seguidores e uma grande multidão vinda de todas as partes da Judeia, de Jerusalém e de lugares distantes ao norte, como o litoral de Tiro e Sidom.
18 and they that were travailed of [or with] unclean spirits, were healed. (and those who were troubled by unclean spirits, or devils and demons, were healed.)
18 Tinham vindo para ouvi-lo e para ser curados de suas enfermidades, e os que eram atormentados por espíritos impuros eram curados.
19 And all the people sought to touch him, for virtue went out of him (or for power went out of him), and healed all.
19 Todos procuravam tocar em Jesus, pois dele saía poder, e ele curava a todos.
20 And when his eyes were cast up, into his disciples, he said, (or And he turned his eyes upon his disciples, and he said), Blessed be ye, poor men [+or Blessed be ye, \+sls (the)\+sls* poor], for the kingdom of God is yours.
20 Então Jesus se voltou para seus discípulos e disse: “Felizes são vocês, pobres, pois o reino de Deus lhes pertence.
21 Blessed be ye, that now hunger, for ye shall be full-filled. Blessed be ye, that now weep, for ye shall laugh. [Blessed be ye that hunger now, for ye shall be filled. Blessed be ye that weep now, for ye shall laugh.]
21 Felizes são vocês que agora estão famintos, pois serão saciados. Felizes são vocês que agora choram, pois no devido tempo rirão.
22 Ye shall be blessed, when men shall hate you, and separate you away, and put reproof to you[or and shall put shame on you], and cast out your name as evil, for man’s Son.
22 Felizes são vocês quando os odiarem e os excluírem, quando zombarem de vocês e os caluniarem como se fossem maus porque seguem o Filho do Homem.
23 Joy ye in that day, and be ye glad; for lo! your meed is much in heaven; for after these things the fathers of them did to (the) prophets. (Rejoice on that day, and be glad; for behold! your reward is great in heaven; for thus their fathers did to the prophets.)
23 Quando isso acontecer, alegrem-se e exultem, porque uma grande recompensa os espera no céu. E lembrem-se de que os antepassados deles trataram os profetas da mesma forma.
24 Nevertheless woe to you, rich men, that have your comfort.
24 “Que aflição espera vocês, ricos, pois já receberam sua consolação!
25 Woe to you that be full-filled, for ye shall hunger. Woe to you that now laugh, for ye shall mourn, and weep. [Woe to you that be filled, for ye shall hunger. Woe to you that laugh now, for ye shall mourn, and weep.]
25 Que aflição espera vocês que agora têm fartura, pois um terrível tempo de fome os espera! Que aflição espera vocês que agora riem, pois em breve seu riso se transformará em lamento e tristeza!
26 Woe to you, when all men shall bless you; after these things the fathers of them did to [false] prophets (or for thus their fathers did to the \+em false\+em* prophets).
26 Que aflição espera vocês que são elogiados por todos, pois os antepassados deles também elogiaram falsos profetas!”
27 But I say to you that hear, love ye your enemies, do ye well to them that hated you [or do ye well to them that hate you];
27 “Mas a vocês que me ouvem, eu digo: amem os seus inimigos, façam o bem a quem os odeia,
28 bless ye men that curse you, pray ye for men that defame you [or that falsely challenge you].
28 abençoem quem os amaldiçoa, orem por quem os maltratam.
29 And to him that smiteth thee on the one cheek, show also the other [or give also the tother]; and from him that taketh away from thee a cloth, do not thou forbid the coat, (or and as for him who taketh away a cloak from thee, give also thy coat to him).
29 Se alguém lhe der um tapa numa face, ofereça também a outra. Se alguém exigir de você a roupa do corpo, deixe que leve também a capa.
30 And give to each that asketh thee, and if a man taketh away those things that be thine, ask thou not again (for them).
30 Dê a quem pedir e, quando tomarem suas coisas, não tente recuperá-las.
31 And as ye will that men do to you (or And as ye desire that men do to you), do ye also to them in like manner.
31 Façam aos outros o que vocês desejam que eles lhes façam.
32 And if ye love them that love you, what thank(s), [or what grace], is to you? for sinful men love men that love them. (And if ye love those who love you, what credit is that to you? for sinners love those who love them.)
32 “Se vocês amam apenas aqueles que os amam, que mérito têm? Até os pecadores amam quem os ama.
33 And if ye do well to them that do well to you, what grace, [or what thank\+sls (s)\+sls*], is to you? for sinful men do this thing. (And if ye do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? for sinners do this same thing.)
33 E, se fazem o bem apenas aos que fazem o bem a vocês, que mérito têm? Até os pecadores agem desse modo.
34 And if ye lend to them of which ye hope to take again, what thank(s), [or what grace], is to you? for sinful men lend to sinful men, to take again as much. (And if ye lend to those from whom ye hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? for sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much.)
34 E, se emprestam dinheiro apenas aos que podem devolver, que mérito têm? Até os pecadores emprestam a outros pecadores, na expectativa de receber tudo de volta.
35 Nevertheless love ye your enemies, and do ye well, and lend ye, hoping nothing thereof, and your meed shall be much (or and your reward shall be great), and ye shall be the sons of the Highest, for he is benign, [or of good will], on unkind men and evil men.
35 “Portanto, amem os seus inimigos, façam-lhes o bem e emprestem a eles sem esperar nada de volta. Então a recompensa que receberão do céu será grande e estarão agindo, de fato, como filhos do Altíssimo, pois ele é bondoso até mesmo com os ingratos e perversos.
36 Therefore be ye merciful, as your Father is merciful.
36 Sejam misericordiosos, assim como seu Pai é misericordioso.”
37 Do not ye deem, and ye shall not be deemed, (or Do not judge, and ye shall not be judged). Do not ye condemn, and ye shall not be condemned; forgive ye, and it shall be forgiven to you.
37 “Não julguem e não serão julgados. Não condenem e não serão condenados. Perdoem e serão perdoados.
38 Give ye, and it shall be given to you. They shall give into your bosom a good measure, and well-filled, and shaken together, and overflowing; for by the same measure, by which ye mete, it shall be meted again to you, (or for by the same measure, by which ye measure, it shall be measured unto you).
38 Deem e receberão. Sua dádiva lhes retornará em boa medida, compactada, sacudida para caber mais, transbordante e derramada sobre vocês. O padrão de medida que adotarem será usado para medi-los”.
39 And he said to them a likeness (or a parable), Whether the blind may lead the blind? nor fall they not both into the ditch? [or whether they fall not both into the ditch?]
39 Jesus deu ainda a seguinte ilustração: “É possível um cego guiar outro cego? Não cairão os dois num buraco?
40 A disciple is not above his master (or A student is not above his teacher); but each shall be perfect, if he be as his master.
40 Os discípulos não são maiores que seu mestre. Mas o aluno bem instruído será como o mestre.
41 And what seest thou in thy brother’s eye a mote (or And why seest thou a speck in thy brother’s eye), but thou beholdest not a beam, that is in thine own eye?
41 “Por que você se preocupa com o cisco no olho de seu amigo enquanto há um tronco em seu próprio olho?
42 Or how mayest thou say to thy brother, Brother, suffer, (and) I shall cast out the mote of thine eye, (or Brother, allow me, and I shall take out the speck from thine eye), and thou beholdest not a beam that is in thine own eye? Hypocrite, first take out [or cast out] the beam of thine eye, and then thou shalt see to take out the mote of thy brother’s eye.
42 Como pode dizer: ‘Amigo, deixe-me ajudá-lo a tirar o cisco de seu olho’, se não consegue ver o tronco em seu próprio olho? Hipócrita! Primeiro, livre-se do tronco em seu olho; então você verá o suficiente para tirar o cisco do olho de seu amigo.”
43 It is not a good tree, that maketh evil fruits, neither an evil tree, that maketh good fruits;
43 “Uma árvore boa não produz frutos ruins, e uma árvore ruim não produz frutos bons.
44 for every tree is known of his fruit. And men gather not figs of thorns, neither men gather a grape of a bush of briers. (for every tree is known by its fruit. And people do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a briar bush.)
44 Uma árvore é identificada por seus frutos. Ninguém colhe figos de espinheiros, nem uvas de arbustos espinhosos.
45 A good man (out) of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good things, and an evil man (out) of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things; for (out) of the plenty of the heart the mouth speaketh.
45 A pessoa boa tira coisas boas do tesouro de um coração bom, e a pessoa má tira coisas más do tesouro de um coração mau. Pois a boca fala do que o coração está cheio.”
46 And what call ye me, Lord, Lord, (or And why do ye call me, Lord, Lord), and do not (do) those things that I say.
46 “Por que vocês me chamam ‘Senhor! Senhor!’, se não fazem o que eu digo?
47 Each that cometh to me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I shall show to you, to whom he is like.
47 Eu lhes mostrarei como é aquele que vem a mim, ouve as minhas palavras e as pratica.
48 He is like to a man that buildeth an house, that digged deep, and set [or put] the foundament on a stone (or and laid its foundation on a stone). And when a great flood was made, the flood was hurled to that house, and it might not move it, for it was founded on a firm stone.
48 Ele é como a pessoa que está construindo uma casa e que cava fundo e coloca os alicerces em rocha firme. Quando a água das enchentes sobe e bate contra essa casa, ela permanece firme, pois foi bem construída.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like to a man building his house on [the] earth, without (a) foundament, (or upon the ground, without a foundation); into which the flood was hurled, and anon it fell down (or and at once it fell down); and the falling down of that house was made great.
49 Mas quem ouve e não obedece é como a pessoa que constrói uma casa sobre o chão, sem alicerces. Quando a água bater nessa casa, ela cairá, deixando uma pilha de ruínas”.
