1 And it was done in the second first sabbath [or Forsooth it was done in the first second sabbath], when he passed by the corns, his disciples plucked (some) ears of corn; and they rubbing (them) with their hands, ate (them).
1 Aconteceu que, num sábado, passando Jesus pelas searas, os seus discípulos colhiam e comiam espigas, debulhando-as com as mãos.
2 And some of the Pharisees said to them, What do ye that, that is not leaveful in the sabbaths? (or Why do ye that, which is not lawful on the Sabbath?)
2 E alguns dos fariseus lhes disseram: Por que fazeis o que não é lícito aos sábados?
3 And Jesus answered, and said to them, Have ye not read, what David did, when he hungered, and they that were with him;
3 Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Nem ao menos tendes lido o que fez Davi, quando teve fome, ele e seus companheiros?
4 how he entered into the house of God, and took (the) loaves of proposition, and ate (them), and gave to them that were with him; which loaves it was not leaveful to eat, (no) but only to priests [or no but to priests alone]. (how he entered into God’s House, and took the loaves of the showbread, and ate them, and gave them to those who were with him; which\+em bread\+em* it was not lawful to eat, except for the priests.)
4 Como entrou na casa de Deus, tomou, e comeu os pães da proposição, e os deu aos que com ele estavam, pães que não lhes era lícito comer, mas exclusivamente aos sacerdotes?
5 And he said to them, For man’s Son is Lord, yea, of the sabbath.
5 E acrescentou-lhes: O Filho do Homem é senhor do sábado.
6 And it was done in another sabbath (or on another Sabbath), that he entered into a synagogue, and taught. And a man was there, and his right hand was dry.
6 Sucedeu que, em outro sábado, entrou ele na sinagoga e ensinava. Ora, achava-se ali um homem cuja mão direita estava ressequida.
7 And the scribes and the Pharisees espied him, if he would heal him in the sabbath (or if he would heal him on the Sabbath), (so) that they should find cause, whereof they should accuse him.
7 Os escribas e os fariseus observavam-no, procurando ver se ele faria uma cura no sábado, a fim de acharem de que o acusar.
8 And he knew the thoughts of them, and he said to the man that had a dry hand, Rise up, and stand in the middle (of us). And he rose, and stood (there).
8 Mas ele, conhecendo-lhes os pensamentos, disse ao homem da mão ressequida: Levanta-te e vem para o meio; e ele, levantando-se, permaneceu de pé.
9 And Jesus said to them, I ask you, if it is leaveful to do well in the sabbath [day], or evil? to make a soul safe, or to lose? (And Jesus said to them, I ask you, is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath day, or evil? to save a life, or a soul, or to destroy it?)
9 Então, disse Jesus a eles: Que vos parece? É lícito, no sábado, fazer o bem ou o mal? Salvar a vida ou deixá-la perecer?
10 And when he had beheld all men about, he said to the man, Hold forth thine hand. And he held (it) forth, and his hand was restored to health.
10 E, fitando todos ao redor, disse ao homem: Estende a mão. Ele assim o fez, e a mão lhe foi restaurada.
11 And they were full-filled with unwisdom [or Soothly they were filled with unwisdom], and spake together, what they should do of Jesus (or what they would do about Jesus).
11 Mas eles se encheram de furor e discutiam entre si quanto ao que fariam a Jesus.
12 And it was done in those days, he went out into an hill to pray (or he went up onto a hill to pray); and he was all night dwelling in the prayer of God.
12 Naqueles dias, retirou-se para o monte, a fim de orar, e passou a noite orando a Deus.
13 And when the day was come, he called his disciples, and chose twelve of them, which he called [or he named] also apostles;
13 E, quando amanheceu, chamou a si os seus discípulos e escolheu doze dentre eles, aos quais deu também o nome de apóstolos:
14 Simon, whom he called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,
14 Simão, a quem acrescentou o nome de Pedro, e André, seu irmão; Tiago e João; Filipe e Bartolomeu;
15 Matthew and Thomas, James Alphaeus, and Simon, that is called Zelotes (or the Zealot),
15 Mateus e Tomé; Tiago, filho de Alfeu, e Simão, chamado Zelote;
16 Judas of James, and Judas Iscariot, that was (the) traitor.
16 Judas, filho de Tiago, e Judas Iscariotes, que se tornou traidor.
17 And Jesus came down from the hill with them, and stood in a field place; and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people, of all Judea, and Jerusalem, and of the sea coasts, and of Tyre and Sidon, (or from all of Judea, and Jerusalem, and from the sea coasts, and from Tyre and Sidon), that came to hear him, and to be healed of their sicknesses;
17 E, descendo com eles, parou numa planura onde se encontravam muitos discípulos seus e grande multidão do povo, de toda a Judeia, de Jerusalém e do litoral de Tiro e de Sidom,
18 and they that were travailed of [or with] unclean spirits, were healed. (and those who were troubled by unclean spirits, or devils and demons, were healed.)
18 que vieram para o ouvirem e serem curados de suas enfermidades; também os atormentados por espíritos imundos eram curados.
19 And all the people sought to touch him, for virtue went out of him (or for power went out of him), and healed all.
19 E todos da multidão procuravam tocá-lo, porque dele saía poder; e curava todos.
20 And when his eyes were cast up, into his disciples, he said, (or And he turned his eyes upon his disciples, and he said), Blessed be ye, poor men [+or Blessed be ye, \+sls (the)\+sls* poor], for the kingdom of God is yours.
20 Então, olhando ele para os seus discípulos, disse-lhes:
21 Blessed be ye, that now hunger, for ye shall be full-filled. Blessed be ye, that now weep, for ye shall laugh. [Blessed be ye that hunger now, for ye shall be filled. Blessed be ye that weep now, for ye shall laugh.]
21 Bem-aventurados vós, os que agora tendes fome, porque sereis fartos.
22 Ye shall be blessed, when men shall hate you, and separate you away, and put reproof to you[or and shall put shame on you], and cast out your name as evil, for man’s Son.
22 Bem-aventurados sois quando os homens vos odiarem e quando vos expulsarem da sua companhia, vos injuriarem e rejeitarem o vosso nome como indigno, por causa do Filho do Homem.
23 Joy ye in that day, and be ye glad; for lo! your meed is much in heaven; for after these things the fathers of them did to (the) prophets. (Rejoice on that day, and be glad; for behold! your reward is great in heaven; for thus their fathers did to the prophets.)
23 Regozijai-vos naquele dia e exultai, porque grande é o vosso galardão no céu; pois dessa forma procederam seus pais com os profetas.
24 Nevertheless woe to you, rich men, that have your comfort.
24 Mas ai de vós, os ricos! Porque tendes a vossa consolação.
25 Woe to you that be full-filled, for ye shall hunger. Woe to you that now laugh, for ye shall mourn, and weep. [Woe to you that be filled, for ye shall hunger. Woe to you that laugh now, for ye shall mourn, and weep.]
25 Ai de vós, os que estais agora fartos! Porque vireis a ter fome.
26 Woe to you, when all men shall bless you; after these things the fathers of them did to [false] prophets (or for thus their fathers did to the \+em false\+em* prophets).
26 Ai de vós, quando todos vos louvarem! Porque assim procederam seus pais com os falsos profetas.
27 But I say to you that hear, love ye your enemies, do ye well to them that hated you [or do ye well to them that hate you];
27 Digo-vos, porém, a vós outros que me ouvis: amai os vossos inimigos, fazei o bem aos que vos odeiam;
28 bless ye men that curse you, pray ye for men that defame you [or that falsely challenge you].
28 bendizei aos que vos maldizem, orai pelos que vos caluniam.
29 And to him that smiteth thee on the one cheek, show also the other [or give also the tother]; and from him that taketh away from thee a cloth, do not thou forbid the coat, (or and as for him who taketh away a cloak from thee, give also thy coat to him).
29 Ao que te bate numa face, oferece-lhe também a outra; e, ao que tirar a tua capa, deixa-o levar também a túnica;
30 And give to each that asketh thee, and if a man taketh away those things that be thine, ask thou not again (for them).
30 dá a todo o que te pede; e, se alguém levar o que é teu, não entres em demanda.
31 And as ye will that men do to you (or And as ye desire that men do to you), do ye also to them in like manner.
31 Como quereis que os homens vos façam, assim fazei-o vós também a eles.
32 And if ye love them that love you, what thank(s), [or what grace], is to you? for sinful men love men that love them. (And if ye love those who love you, what credit is that to you? for sinners love those who love them.)
32 Se amais os que vos amam, qual é a vossa recompensa? Porque até os pecadores amam aos que os amam.
33 And if ye do well to them that do well to you, what grace, [or what thank\+sls (s)\+sls*], is to you? for sinful men do this thing. (And if ye do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? for sinners do this same thing.)
33 Se fizerdes o bem aos que vos fazem o bem, qual é a vossa recompensa? Até os pecadores fazem isso.
34 And if ye lend to them of which ye hope to take again, what thank(s), [or what grace], is to you? for sinful men lend to sinful men, to take again as much. (And if ye lend to those from whom ye hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? for sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much.)
34 E, se emprestais àqueles de quem esperais receber, qual é a vossa recompensa? Também os pecadores emprestam aos pecadores, para receberem outro tanto.
35 Nevertheless love ye your enemies, and do ye well, and lend ye, hoping nothing thereof, and your meed shall be much (or and your reward shall be great), and ye shall be the sons of the Highest, for he is benign, [or of good will], on unkind men and evil men.
35 Amai, porém, os vossos inimigos, fazei o bem e emprestai, sem esperar nenhuma paga; será grande o vosso galardão, e sereis filhos do Altíssimo. Pois ele é benigno até para com os ingratos e maus.
36 Therefore be ye merciful, as your Father is merciful.
36 Sede misericordiosos, como também é misericordioso vosso Pai.
37 Do not ye deem, and ye shall not be deemed, (or Do not judge, and ye shall not be judged). Do not ye condemn, and ye shall not be condemned; forgive ye, and it shall be forgiven to you.
37 Não julgueis e não sereis julgados; não condeneis e não sereis condenados; perdoai e sereis perdoados;
38 Give ye, and it shall be given to you. They shall give into your bosom a good measure, and well-filled, and shaken together, and overflowing; for by the same measure, by which ye mete, it shall be meted again to you, (or for by the same measure, by which ye measure, it shall be measured unto you).
38 dai, e dar-se-vos-á; boa medida, recalcada, sacudida, transbordante, generosamente vos darão; porque com a medida com que tiverdes medido vos medirão também.
39 And he said to them a likeness (or a parable), Whether the blind may lead the blind? nor fall they not both into the ditch? [or whether they fall not both into the ditch?]
39 Propôs-lhes também uma parábola: Pode, porventura, um cego guiar a outro cego? Não cairão ambos no barranco?
40 A disciple is not above his master (or A student is not above his teacher); but each shall be perfect, if he be as his master.
40 O discípulo não está acima do seu mestre; todo aquele, porém, que for bem-instruído será como o seu mestre.
41 And what seest thou in thy brother’s eye a mote (or And why seest thou a speck in thy brother’s eye), but thou beholdest not a beam, that is in thine own eye?
41 Por que vês tu o argueiro no olho de teu irmão, porém não reparas na trave que está no teu próprio?
42 Or how mayest thou say to thy brother, Brother, suffer, (and) I shall cast out the mote of thine eye, (or Brother, allow me, and I shall take out the speck from thine eye), and thou beholdest not a beam that is in thine own eye? Hypocrite, first take out [or cast out] the beam of thine eye, and then thou shalt see to take out the mote of thy brother’s eye.
42 Como poderás dizer a teu irmão: Deixa, irmão, que eu tire o argueiro do teu olho, não vendo tu mesmo a trave que está no teu? Hipócrita, tira primeiro a trave do teu olho e, então, verás claramente para tirar o argueiro que está no olho de teu irmão.
43 It is not a good tree, that maketh evil fruits, neither an evil tree, that maketh good fruits;
43 Não há árvore boa que dê mau fruto; nem tampouco árvore má que dê bom fruto.
44 for every tree is known of his fruit. And men gather not figs of thorns, neither men gather a grape of a bush of briers. (for every tree is known by its fruit. And people do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a briar bush.)
44 Porquanto cada árvore é conhecida pelo seu próprio fruto. Porque não se colhem figos de espinheiros, nem dos abrolhos se vindimam uvas.
45 A good man (out) of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good things, and an evil man (out) of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things; for (out) of the plenty of the heart the mouth speaketh.
45 O homem bom do bom tesouro do coração tira o bem, e o mau do mau tesouro tira o mal; porque a boca fala do que está cheio o coração.
46 And what call ye me, Lord, Lord, (or And why do ye call me, Lord, Lord), and do not (do) those things that I say.
46 Por que me chamais Senhor, Senhor, e não fazeis o que vos mando?
47 Each that cometh to me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I shall show to you, to whom he is like.
47 Todo aquele que vem a mim, e ouve as minhas palavras, e as pratica, eu vos mostrarei a quem é semelhante.
48 He is like to a man that buildeth an house, that digged deep, and set [or put] the foundament on a stone (or and laid its foundation on a stone). And when a great flood was made, the flood was hurled to that house, and it might not move it, for it was founded on a firm stone.
48 É semelhante a um homem que, edificando uma casa, cavou, abriu profunda vala e lançou o alicerce sobre a rocha; e, vindo a enchente, arrojou-se o rio contra aquela casa e não a pôde abalar, por ter sido bem-construída.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like to a man building his house on [the] earth, without (a) foundament, (or upon the ground, without a foundation); into which the flood was hurled, and anon it fell down (or and at once it fell down); and the falling down of that house was made great.
49 Mas o que ouve e não pratica é semelhante a um homem que edificou uma casa sobre a terra sem alicerces, e, arrojando-se o rio contra ela, logo desabou; e aconteceu que foi grande a ruína daquela casa.
