1 Aconteceu, depois disto, que andava Jesus de cidade em cidade e de aldeia em aldeia, pregando e anunciando o evangelho do reino de Deus, e os doze iam com ele,

2 e também algumas mulheres que haviam sido curadas de espíritos malignos e de enfermidades: Maria, chamada Madalena, da qual saíram sete demônios;

3 e Joana, mulher de Cuza, procurador de Herodes, Suzana e muitas outras, as quais lhe prestavam assistência com os seus bens.

4 Afluindo uma grande multidão e vindo ter com ele gente de todas as cidades, disse Jesus por parábola:

5 Eis que o semeador saiu a semear. E, ao semear, uma parte caiu à beira do caminho; foi pisada, e as aves do céu a comeram.

6 Outra caiu sobre a pedra; e, tendo crescido, secou por falta de umidade.

7 Outra caiu no meio dos espinhos; e estes, ao crescerem com ela, a sufocaram.

8 Outra, afinal, caiu em boa terra; cresceu e produziu a cento por um. Dizendo isto, clamou: Quem tem ouvidos para ouvir, ouça.

9 E os seus discípulos o interrogaram, dizendo: Que parábola é esta?

10 Respondeu-lhes Jesus: A vós outros é dado conhecer os mistérios do reino de Deus; aos demais, fala-se por parábolas, para que, vendo, não vejam; e, ouvindo, não entendam.

11 Este é o sentido da parábola: a semente é a palavra de Deus.

12 A que caiu à beira do caminho são os que a ouviram; vem, a seguir, o diabo e arrebata-lhes do coração a palavra, para não suceder que, crendo, sejam salvos.

13 A que caiu sobre a pedra são os que, ouvindo a palavra, a recebem com alegria; estes não têm raiz, creem apenas por algum tempo e, na hora da provação, se desviam.

14 A que caiu entre espinhos são os que ouviram e, no decorrer dos dias, foram sufocados com os cuidados, riquezas e deleites da vida; os seus frutos não chegam a amadurecer.
15 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w on|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w the good|strong="G2570"\+w* \+w ground|strong="G1093"\+w* \+w are|strong="G1526"\+w* \+w they|strong="G3778"\+w*, \+w which|strong="G3748"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w an honest|strong="G0018"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w good|strong="G2570"\+w* \+w heart|strong="G2588"\+w*, \+w having heard|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w the word|strong="G3056"\+w*, \+w keep|strong="G2722"\+w* \+add it\+add*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w bring forth fruit|strong="G2592"\+w* \+w with|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w patience|strong="G5281"\+w*.
15 A que caiu na boa terra são os que, tendo ouvido de bom e reto coração, retêm a palavra; estes frutificam com perseverança.

16 Ninguém, depois de acender uma candeia, a cobre com um vaso ou a põe debaixo de uma cama; pelo contrário, coloca-a sobre um velador, a fim de que os que entram vejam a luz.
17 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w nothing|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w secret|strong="G2927"\+w*, \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w be made|strong="G1096"\+w* \+w manifest|strong="G5318"\+w*; \+w neither|strong="G3761"\+w* \+add any thing\+add* \+w hid|strong="G0614"\+w*, \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G1097"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w be known|strong="G1097"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w come|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w abroad|strong="G5318"\+w*.
17 Nada há oculto, que não haja de manifestar-se, nem escondido, que não venha a ser conhecido e revelado.
18 \+w Take heed|strong="G0991"\+w* \+w therefore|strong="G3767"\+w* \+w how|strong="G4459"\+w* \+w ye hear|strong="G0191"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w whosoever|strong="G0302"\+w* \+w hath|strong="G2192"\+w*, \+w to him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w shall be given|strong="G1325"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w whosoever|strong="G0302"\+w* \+w hath|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w*, \+w from|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w shall be taken|strong="G0142"\+w* \+w even|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w that|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w which he seemeth|strong="G1380"\+w* \+w to have|strong="G2192"\+w*.
18 Vede, pois, como ouvis; porque ao que tiver, se lhe dará; e ao que não tiver, até aquilo que julga ter lhe será tirado.
19 Then|strong="G1161" came|strong="G3854" to|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846" his mother|strong="G3384" and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" brethren|strong="G0080", and|strong="G2532" could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756" come|strong="G4940" at him|strong="G0846" for|strong="G1223" the press|strong="G3793".
19 Vieram ter com ele sua mãe e seus irmãos e não podiam aproximar-se por causa da concorrência de povo.
20 And|strong="G2532" it was told|strong="G0518" him|strong="G0846" by certain which said|strong="G3004", Thy|strong="G4675" mother|strong="G3384" and|strong="G2532" thy|strong="G4675" brethren|strong="G0080" stand|strong="G2476" without|strong="G1854", desiring|strong="G2309" to see|strong="G1492" thee|strong="G4571".
20 E lhe comunicaram: Tua mãe e teus irmãos estão lá fora e querem ver-te.
21 And|strong="G1161" he answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846", \+w My|strong="G3450"\+w* \+w mother|strong="G3384"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w my|strong="G3450"\+w* \+w brethren|strong="G0080"\+w* \+w are|strong="G1526"\+w* \+w these|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w which|strong="G3588"\+w* \+w hear|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w the word|strong="G3056"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w do|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w it|strong="G0846"\+w*.
21 Ele, porém, lhes respondeu: Minha mãe e meus irmãos são aqueles que ouvem a palavra de Deus e a praticam.
22 Now|strong="G2532" it came to pass|strong="G1096" on|strong="G1722" a certain|strong="G1520" day|strong="G2250", that|strong="G2532" he|strong="G0846" went|strong="G1684" into|strong="G1519" a ship|strong="G4143" with|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101": and|strong="G2532" he said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846", \+w Let us go over|strong="G1330"\+w* \+w unto|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the other side|strong="G4008"\+w* \+w of the lake|strong="G3041"\+w*. And|strong="G2532" they launched forth|strong="G0321".
22 Aconteceu que, num daqueles dias, entrou ele num barco em companhia dos seus discípulos e disse-lhes: Passemos para a outra margem do lago; e partiram.
23 But|strong="G1161" as they|strong="G0846" sailed|strong="G4126" he fell asleep|strong="G0879": and|strong="G2532" there came down|strong="G2597" a storm|strong="G2978" of wind|strong="G0417" on|strong="G1519" the lake|strong="G3041"; and|strong="G2532" they were filled|strong="G4845" with water, and|strong="G2532" were in jeopardy|strong="G2793".
23 Enquanto navegavam, ele adormeceu. E sobreveio uma tempestade de vento no lago, correndo eles o perigo de soçobrar.
24 And|strong="G1161" they came to him|strong="G4334", and awoke|strong="G1326" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Master|strong="G1988", master|strong="G1988", we perish|strong="G0622". Then|strong="G1161" he arose|strong="G1453", and rebuked|strong="G2008" the wind|strong="G0417" and|strong="G2532" the raging|strong="G2830" of the water|strong="G5204": and|strong="G2532" they ceased|strong="G3973", and|strong="G2532" there was|strong="G1096" a calm|strong="G1055".
24 Chegando-se a ele, despertaram-no dizendo: Mestre, Mestre, estamos perecendo! Despertando-se Jesus, repreendeu o vento e a fúria da água. Tudo cessou, e veio a bonança.
25 And|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Where|strong="G4226"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w faith|strong="G4102"\+w*? And|strong="G1161" they being afrai|strong="G5399"d wondered|strong="G2296", saying|strong="G3004" one|strong="G0240" to|strong="G4314" another|strong="G0240", What|strong="G5101" manner of man|strong="G0687" is|strong="G2076" this|strong="G3778"! for|strong="G3754" he commandeth|strong="G2004" even|strong="G2532" the winds|strong="G0417" and|strong="G2532" water|strong="G5204", and|strong="G2532" they obey|strong="G5219" him|strong="G0846".
25 Então, lhes disse: Onde está a vossa fé? Eles, possuídos de temor e admiração, diziam uns aos outros: Quem é este que até aos ventos e às ondas repreende, e lhe obedecem?
26 And|strong="G2532" they arrived|strong="G2668" at|strong="G1519" the country|strong="G5561" of the Gadarenes|strong="G1046", which|strong="G3748" is|strong="G2076" over against|strong="G0495" Galilee|strong="G1056".
26 Então, rumaram para a terra dos gerasenos, fronteira da Galileia.
27 And|strong="G1161" when|strong="G1831" he|strong="G0846" went|strong="G1831" forth|strong="G1909" to land|strong="G1093", there met|strong="G5221" him|strong="G0846" out of|strong="G1537" the city|strong="G4172" a certain|strong="G5100" man|strong="G0435", which|strong="G3739" had|strong="G2192" devils|strong="G1140" long|strong="G2425" time|strong="G5550", and|strong="G2532" ware|strong="G1737" no|strong="G3756" clothes|strong="G2440", neither|strong="G3756" abode|strong="G3306" in|strong="G1722" any house|strong="G3614", but|strong="G0235" in|strong="G1722" the tombs|strong="G3418".
27 Logo ao desembarcar, veio da cidade ao seu encontro um homem possesso de demônios que, havia muito, não se vestia, nem habitava em casa alguma, porém vivia nos sepulcros.
28 When|strong="G1161" he saw|strong="G1492" Jesus|strong="G2424", he cried out|strong="G0349", and fell down|strong="G4363" before him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" with a loud|strong="G3173" voice|strong="G5456" said|strong="G2036", What|strong="G5101" have I|strong="G1698" to do|strong="G2532" with thee|strong="G4671", Jesus|strong="G2424", thou Son|strong="G5207" of God|strong="G2316" most high|strong="G5310"? I beseech|strong="G1189" thee|strong="G4675", torment|strong="G0928" me|strong="G3165" not|strong="G3361".
28 E, quando viu a Jesus, prostrou-se diante dele, exclamando e dizendo em alta voz: Que tenho eu contigo, Jesus, Filho do Deus Altíssimo? Rogo-te que não me atormentes.
29 (For|strong="G1063" he had commanded|strong="G3853" the unclean|strong="G0169" spirit|strong="G4151" to come out|strong="G1831" of|strong="G0575" the man|strong="G0444". For|strong="G1063" oftentimes|strong="G5550" it had caught|strong="G4884" him|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" he was kept|strong="G5442" bound|strong="G1196" with chains|strong="G0254" and|strong="G2532" in fetters|strong="G3976"; and|strong="G2532" he brake|strong="G1284" the bands|strong="G1199", and was driven|strong="G1643" of|strong="G5259" the devil|strong="G1142" into|strong="G1519" the wilderness|strong="G2048".)
29 Porque Jesus ordenara ao espírito imundo que saísse do homem, pois muitas vezes se apoderara dele. E, embora procurassem conservá-lo preso com cadeias e grilhões, tudo despedaçava e era impelido pelo demônio para o deserto.
30 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" asked|strong="G1905" him|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", \+w What|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4671"\+w* \+w name|strong="G3686"\+w*? And|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036", Legion|strong="G3003": because|strong="G3754" many|strong="G4183" devils|strong="G1140" were entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" him|strong="G0846".
30 Perguntou-lhe Jesus: Qual é o teu nome? Respondeu ele: Legião, porque tinham entrado nele muitos demônios.
31 And|strong="G2532" they besought|strong="G3870" him|strong="G0846" that|strong="G2443" he would|strong="G2004" not|strong="G3361" command|strong="G2004" them|strong="G0846" to go out|strong="G0565" into|strong="G1519" the deep|strong="G0012".
31 Rogavam-lhe que não os mandasse sair para o abismo.
32 And|strong="G1161" there was|strong="G2258" there|strong="G1563" an herd|strong="G0034" of many|strong="G2425" swine|strong="G5519" feeding|strong="G1006" on|strong="G1722" the mountain|strong="G3735": and|strong="G2532" they besought|strong="G3870" him|strong="G0846" that|strong="G2443" he would suffer|strong="G2010" them|strong="G0846" to enter|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" them|strong="G1565". And|strong="G2532" he suffered|strong="G2010" them|strong="G0846".
32 Ora, andava ali, pastando no monte, uma grande manada de porcos; rogaram-lhe que lhes permitisse entrar naqueles porcos. E Jesus o permitiu.
33 Then|strong="G1161" went|strong="G1831" the devils|strong="G1140" out of|strong="G0575" the man|strong="G0444", and entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the swine|strong="G5519": and|strong="G2532" the herd|strong="G0034" ran violently|strong="G3729" down|strong="G2596" a steep place|strong="G2911" into|strong="G1519" the lake|strong="G3041", and|strong="G2532" were choked|strong="G0638".
33 Tendo os demônios saído do homem, entraram nos porcos, e a manada precipitou-se despenhadeiro abaixo, para dentro do lago, e se afogou.
34 When|strong="G1161" they that fed|strong="G1006" them saw|strong="G1492" what was done|strong="G1096", they fled|strong="G5343", and|strong="G2532" went|strong="G0565" and told|strong="G0518" it in|strong="G1519" the city|strong="G4172" and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1519" the country|strong="G0068".
34 Os porqueiros, vendo o que acontecera, fugiram e foram anunciá-lo na cidade e pelos campos.
35 Then|strong="G1161" they went out|strong="G1831" to see|strong="G1492" what was done|strong="G1096"; and|strong="G2532" came|strong="G2064" to|strong="G4314" Jesus|strong="G2424", and|strong="G2532" found|strong="G2147" the man|strong="G0444", out of|strong="G0575" whom|strong="G3739" the devils|strong="G1140" were departed|strong="G1831", sitting|strong="G2521" at|strong="G3844" the feet|strong="G4228" of Jesus|strong="G2424", clothed|strong="G2439", and|strong="G2532" in his right mind|strong="G4993": and|strong="G2532" they were afraid|strong="G5399".
35 Então, saiu o povo para ver o que se passara, e foram ter com Jesus. De fato, acharam o homem de quem saíram os demônios, vestido, em perfeito juízo, assentado aos pés de Jesus; e ficaram dominados de terror.
36 They|strong="G0846" also|strong="G2532" which|strong="G3588" saw|strong="G1492" it told|strong="G0518" them by what means|strong="G4459" he that was possessed of the devils|strong="G1139" was healed|strong="G4982".
36 E algumas pessoas que tinham presenciado os fatos contaram-lhes também como fora salvo o endemoninhado.

37 Todo o povo da circunvizinhança dos gerasenos rogou-lhe que se retirasse deles, pois estavam possuídos de grande medo. E Jesus, tomando de novo o barco, voltou.
38 Now|strong="G1161" the man|strong="G0435" out of|strong="G0575" whom|strong="G3739" the devils|strong="G1140" were|strong="G1511" departed|strong="G1831" besought|strong="G1189" him|strong="G0846" that he might be with|strong="G4862" him|strong="G0846": but|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" sent|strong="G0630" him|strong="G0846" away|strong="G0630", saying|strong="G3004",
38 O homem de quem tinham saído os demônios rogou-lhe que o deixasse estar com ele; Jesus, porém, o despediu, dizendo:
39 \+w Return|strong="G5290"\+w* \+w to|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w thine own|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w house|strong="G3624"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shew|strong="G1334"\+w* \+w how great things|strong="G3745"\+w* \+w God|strong="G2316"\+w* \+w hath done|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w unto thee|strong="G4671"\+w*. And|strong="G2532" he went his way|strong="G0565", and published|strong="G2784" throughout|strong="G2596" the whole|strong="G3650" city|strong="G4172" how great things|strong="G3745" Jesus|strong="G2424" had done|strong="G4160" unto him|strong="G0846".
39 Volta para casa e conta aos teus tudo o que Deus fez por ti. Então, foi ele anunciando por toda a cidade todas as coisas que Jesus lhe tinha feito.
40 And|strong="G1161" it came to pass, that|strong="G1096", when|strong="G1722" Jesus|strong="G2424" was returned|strong="G5290", the people|strong="G3793" gladly received|strong="G0588" him|strong="G0846": for|strong="G1063" they were|strong="G2258" all|strong="G3956" waiting|strong="G4328" for him|strong="G0846".
40 Ao regressar Jesus, a multidão o recebeu com alegria, porque todos o estavam esperando.

41 Eis que veio um homem chamado Jairo, que era chefe da sinagoga, e, prostrando-se aos pés de Jesus, lhe suplicou que chegasse até a sua casa.

43 Certa mulher que, havia doze anos, vinha sofrendo de uma hemorragia, e a quem ninguém tinha podido curar [e que gastara com os médicos todos os seus haveres],
44 Came|strong="G4334" behind|strong="G3693" him, and touched|strong="G0680" the border|strong="G2899" of his|strong="G0846" garment|strong="G2440": and|strong="G2532" immediately|strong="G3916" her|strong="G0846" issue|strong="G4511" of blood|strong="G0129" stanched|strong="G2476".

45 Mas Jesus disse: Quem me tocou? Como todos negassem, Pedro [com seus companheiros] disse: Mestre, as multidões te apertam e te oprimem [e dizes: Quem me tocou?].
46 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036", \+w Somebody|strong="G5100"\+w* \+w hath touched|strong="G0680"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3450"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w perceive that|strong="G1097"\+w* \+w virtue|strong="G1411"\+w* \+w is gone out|strong="G1831"\+w* \+w of|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w me|strong="G1700"\+w*.
46 Contudo, Jesus insistiu: Alguém me tocou, porque senti que de mim saiu poder.

47 Vendo a mulher que não podia ocultar-se, aproximou-se trêmula e, prostrando-se diante dele, declarou, à vista de todo o povo, a causa por que lhe havia tocado e como imediatamente fora curada.
48 And|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036" unto her|strong="G0846", \+w Daughter|strong="G2364"\+w*, \+w be of good comfort|strong="G2293"\+w*: \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w faith|strong="G4102"\+w* \+w hath made|strong="G4982"\+w* \+w thee|strong="G4571"\+w* \+w whole|strong="G4982"\+w*; \+w go|strong="G4198"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w peace|strong="G1515"\+w*.
48 Então, lhe disse: Filha, a tua fé te salvou; vai-te em paz.
49 While|strong="G2980" he|strong="G0846" yet|strong="G2089" spake|strong="G2980", there cometh|strong="G2064" one|strong="G5100" from|strong="G3844" the ruler of the synagogue’s|strong="G0752" house, saying|strong="G3004" to him|strong="G0846", Thy|strong="G4675" daughter|strong="G2364" is dead|strong="G2348"; trouble|strong="G4660" not|strong="G3361" the Master|strong="G1320".
49 Falava ele ainda, quando veio uma pessoa da casa do chefe da sinagoga, dizendo: Tua filha já está morta, não incomodes mais o Mestre.

51 Tendo chegado à casa, a ninguém permitiu que entrasse com ele, senão Pedro, João, Tiago e bem assim o pai e a mãe da menina.
52 And|strong="G1161" all|strong="G3956" wept|strong="G2799", and|strong="G2532" bewailed|strong="G2875" her|strong="G0846": but|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036", \+w Weep|strong="G2799"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w*; \+w she is|strong="G0599"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w dead|strong="G0599"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w sleepeth|strong="G2518"\+w*.
52 E todos choravam e a pranteavam. Mas ele disse: Não choreis; ela não está morta, mas dorme.
53 And|strong="G2532" they laughed|strong="G2606" him|strong="G0846" to scorn|strong="G2606", knowing|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" she was dead|strong="G0599".
53 E riam-se dele, porque sabiam que ela estava morta.
54 And|strong="G1161" he|strong="G0846" put them|strong="G1544" all|strong="G3956" out|strong="G1854", and|strong="G2532" took|strong="G2902" her|strong="G0846" by the hand|strong="G5495", and called|strong="G5455", saying|strong="G3004", \+w Maid|strong="G3816"\+w*, \+w arise|strong="G1453"\+w*.
54 Entretanto, ele, tomando-a pela mão, disse-lhe, em voz alta: Menina, levanta-te!
55 And|strong="G2532" her|strong="G0846" spirit|strong="G4151" came again|strong="G1994", and|strong="G2532" she arose|strong="G0450" straightway|strong="G3916": and|strong="G2532" he commanded|strong="G1299" to give|strong="G1325" her|strong="G0846" meat|strong="G5315".
55 Voltou-lhe o espírito, ela imediatamente se levantou, e ele mandou que lhe dessem de comer.
56 And|strong="G2532" her|strong="G0846" parents|strong="G1118" were astonished|strong="G1839": but|strong="G1161" he charged|strong="G3853" them|strong="G0846" that they should tell|strong="G2036" no man|strong="G3367" what was done|strong="G1096".
