6 And|strong="G1161" they departed|strong="G1831", and went|strong="G1330" through|strong="G2596" the towns|strong="G2968", preaching the gospel|strong="G2097", and|strong="G2532" healing|strong="G2323" every where|strong="G3837".
7 Now|strong="G1161" Herod|strong="G2264" the tetrarch|strong="G5076" heard|strong="G0191" of|strong="G1096" all|strong="G3956" that was done|strong="G1096" by|strong="G5259" him|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" he was perplexed|strong="G1280", because|strong="G1223" that|strong="G3588" it was said|strong="G3004" of|strong="G5259" some|strong="G5100", that|strong="G3754" John|strong="G2491" was risen|strong="G1453" from|strong="G1537" the dead|strong="G3498";
8 And|strong="G1161" of|strong="G5259" some|strong="G5100", that|strong="G3754" Elias|strong="G2243" had appeared|strong="G5316"; and|strong="G1161" of others|strong="G0243", that|strong="G3754" one|strong="G1520" of the|strong="G4396" old|strong="G0744" prophets|strong="G4396" was risen again|strong="G0450".
9 And|strong="G2532" Herod|strong="G2264" said|strong="G2036", John|strong="G2491" have|strong="G0607" I|strong="G1473" beheaded|strong="G0607": but|strong="G1161" who|strong="G5101" is|strong="G2076" this|strong="G3778", of|strong="G4012" whom|strong="G3739" I|strong="G1473" hear|strong="G0191" such things|strong="G5108"? And|strong="G2532" he desired|strong="G2212" to see|strong="G1492" him|strong="G0846".
10 And|strong="G2532" the apostles|strong="G0652", when they were returned|strong="G5290", told|strong="G1334" him|strong="G0846" all that|strong="G3745" they had done|strong="G4160". And|strong="G2532" he took|strong="G3880" them|strong="G0846", and went aside|strong="G5298" privately|strong="G2398" into|strong="G1519" a|strong="G5117" desert|strong="G2048" place|strong="G5117" belonging to the city|strong="G4172" called|strong="G2564" Bethsaida|strong="G0966".
11 And|strong="G1161" the people|strong="G3793", when they knew|strong="G1097" it, followed|strong="G0190" him|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" he received|strong="G1209" them|strong="G0846", and spake|strong="G2980" unto them|strong="G0846" of|strong="G4012" the kingdom|strong="G0932" of God|strong="G2316", and|strong="G2532" healed|strong="G2390" them that had|strong="G2192" need|strong="G5532" of healing|strong="G2322".
12 And|strong="G1161" when|strong="G0756" the day|strong="G2250" began|strong="G0756" to wear away|strong="G2827", then|strong="G1161" came|strong="G4334" the twelve|strong="G1427", and said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", Send|strong="G0630" the multitude|strong="G3793" away|strong="G0630", that|strong="G2443" they may go|strong="G0565" into|strong="G1519" the towns|strong="G2968" and|strong="G2532" country|strong="G0068" round about|strong="G2945", and lodge|strong="G2647", and|strong="G2532" get|strong="G2147" victuals|strong="G1979": for|strong="G3754" we are|strong="G2070" here|strong="G5602" in|strong="G1722" a desert|strong="G2048" place|strong="G5117".
13 But|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846", \+w Give|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w to eat|strong="G5315"\+w*. And|strong="G1161" they said|strong="G2036", We|strong="G2254" have|strong="G1526" no|strong="G3756" more|strong="G4119" but|strong="G2228" five|strong="G4002" loaves|strong="G0740" and|strong="G2532" two|strong="G1417" fishes|strong="G2486"; except|strong="G1487" we|strong="G2249" should go|strong="G4198" and buy|strong="G0059" meat|strong="G1033" for|strong="G1519" all|strong="G3956" this|strong="G5126" people|strong="G2992".
14 For|strong="G1063" they were|strong="G2258" about|strong="G5616" five thousand|strong="G4000" men|strong="G0435". And|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036" to|strong="G4314" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101", \+w Make|strong="G2625"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w sit down|strong="G2625"\+w* \+w by|strong="G0303"\+w* \+w fifties|strong="G4004"\+w* \+w in a company|strong="G2828"\+w*.
15 And|strong="G2532" they did|strong="G4160" so|strong="G3779", and|strong="G2532" made|strong="G0347" them all|strong="G0537" sit down|strong="G0347".
16 Then|strong="G1161" he took|strong="G2983" the|strong="G0740" five|strong="G4002" loaves|strong="G0740" and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2486" two|strong="G1417" fishes|strong="G2486", and looking up|strong="G0308" to|strong="G1519" heaven|strong="G3772", he blessed|strong="G2127" them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" brake|strong="G2622", and|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G1325" to the disciples|strong="G3101" to set before|strong="G3908" the multitude|strong="G3793".
17 And|strong="G2532" they did eat|strong="G5315", and|strong="G2532" were|strong="G5526" all|strong="G3956" filled|strong="G5526": and|strong="G2532" there was taken up|strong="G0142" of fragments|strong="G2801" that remained|strong="G4052" to them|strong="G0846" twelve|strong="G1427" baskets|strong="G2894".

20 He said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w whom|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w that|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w I|strong="G3165"\+w* \+w am|strong="G1511"\+w*? Peter|strong="G4074" answering|strong="G0611" said|strong="G2036", The Christ|strong="G5547" of God|strong="G2316".
21 And|strong="G1161" he straitly charged|strong="G2008" them|strong="G0846", and commanded|strong="G3853" them to tell|strong="G2036" no man|strong="G3367" that thing|strong="G5124";
22 Saying|strong="G2036", \+w The Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w must|strong="G1163"\+w* \+w suffer|strong="G3958"\+w* \+w many things|strong="G4183"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w be rejected|strong="G0593"\+w* \+w of|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w the elders|strong="G4245"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w chief priests|strong="G0749"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w scribes|strong="G1122"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w be slain|strong="G0615"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w be raised|strong="G1453"\+w* \+w the|strong="G2250"\+w* \+w third|strong="G5154"\+w* \+w day|strong="G2250"\+w*.

24 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w whosoever|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w will|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w save|strong="G4982"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w life|strong="G5590"\+w* \+w shall lose|strong="G0622"\+w* \+w it|strong="G0846"\+w*: \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w whosoever|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w will lose|strong="G0622"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w life|strong="G5590"\+w* \+w for|strong="G1752"\+w* \+w my|strong="G1700"\+w* \+w sake|strong="G1752"\+w*, \+w the same|strong="G3778"\+w* \+w shall save|strong="G4982"\+w* \+w it|strong="G0846"\+w*.
25 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w what|strong="G5101"\+w* \+w is|strong="G5623"\+w* \+w a man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w advantaged|strong="G5623"\+w*, \+w if he gain|strong="G2770"\+w* \+w the whole|strong="G3650"\+w* \+w world|strong="G2889"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w lose|strong="G0622"\+w* \+w himself|strong="G1438"\+w*, \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w be cast away|strong="G2210"\+w*?

27 \+w But|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w I tell|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5213"\+w* \+w of a truth|strong="G0230"\+w*, \+w there be|strong="G1526"\+w* \+w some|strong="G5100"\+w* \+w standing|strong="G2476"\+w* \+w here|strong="G5602"\+w*, \+w which|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G1089"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w taste|strong="G1089"\+w* \+w of death|strong="G2288"\+w*, \+w till|strong="G2193"\+w* \+w they see|strong="G1492"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*.
28 And|strong="G1161" it came to pass|strong="G1096" about|strong="G5616" an|strong="G2250" eight|strong="G3638" days|strong="G2250" after|strong="G3326" these|strong="G5128" sayings|strong="G3056", he took|strong="G3880" Peter|strong="G4074" and|strong="G2532" John|strong="G2491" and|strong="G2532" James|strong="G2385", and went up|strong="G0305" into|strong="G1519" a mountain|strong="G3735" to pray|strong="G4336".
29 And|strong="G2532" as|strong="G1096" he|strong="G0846" prayed|strong="G4336", the fashion|strong="G1491" of|strong="G4383" his|strong="G0846" countenance|strong="G4383" was altered|strong="G2087", and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" raiment|strong="G2441" was white|strong="G3022" and glistering|strong="G1823".
30 And|strong="G2532", behold|strong="G2400", there talked with|strong="G4814" him|strong="G0846" two|strong="G1417" men|strong="G0435", which|strong="G3748" were|strong="G2258" Moses|strong="G3475" and|strong="G2532" Elias|strong="G2243":
31 Who|strong="G3739" appeared|strong="G3700" in|strong="G1722" glory|strong="G1391", and spake|strong="G3004" of|strong="G1841" his|strong="G0846" decease|strong="G1841" which|strong="G3739" he should|strong="G3195" accomplish|strong="G4137" at|strong="G1722" Jerusalem|strong="G2419".
32 But|strong="G1161" Peter|strong="G4074" and|strong="G2532" they that were|strong="G2258" with|strong="G4862" him|strong="G0846" were heavy|strong="G0916" with sleep|strong="G5258": and|strong="G1161" when they were awake|strong="G1235", they saw|strong="G1492" his|strong="G0846" glory|strong="G1391", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G0435" two|strong="G1417" men|strong="G0435" that stood with|strong="G4921" him|strong="G0846".
33 And|strong="G2532" it came to pass|strong="G1096", as|strong="G1722" they|strong="G0846" departed|strong="G1316" from|strong="G0575" him|strong="G0846", Peter|strong="G4074" said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" Jesus|strong="G2424", Master|strong="G1988", it is|strong="G2076" good|strong="G2570" for us|strong="G2248" to be|strong="G1511" here|strong="G5602": and|strong="G2532" let us make|strong="G4160" three|strong="G5140" tabernacles|strong="G4633"; one|strong="G1520" for thee|strong="G4671", and|strong="G2532" one|strong="G1520" for Moses|strong="G3475", and|strong="G2532" one|strong="G1520" for Elias|strong="G2243": not|strong="G3361" knowing|strong="G1492" what|strong="G3739" he said|strong="G3004".
34 While|strong="G1161" he|strong="G0846" thus|strong="G5023" spake|strong="G3004", there came|strong="G1096" a cloud|strong="G3507", and|strong="G2532" overshadowed|strong="G1982" them|strong="G0846": and|strong="G1161" they feared|strong="G5399" as|strong="G1722" they|strong="G1565" entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the cloud|strong="G3507".
35 And|strong="G2532" there came|strong="G1096" a voice|strong="G5456" out|strong="G1537" of the cloud|strong="G3507", saying|strong="G3004", This|strong="G3778" is|strong="G2076" my|strong="G3450" beloved|strong="G0027" Son|strong="G5207": hear|strong="G0191" him|strong="G0846".
36 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G1722" the voice|strong="G5456" was past|strong="G1096", Jesus|strong="G2424" was found|strong="G2147" alone|strong="G3441". And|strong="G2532" they|strong="G0846" kept it close|strong="G4601", and|strong="G2532" told|strong="G0518" no man|strong="G3762" in|strong="G1722" those|strong="G1565" days|strong="G2250" any|strong="G3762" of those things which|strong="G3739" they had seen|strong="G3708".
37 And|strong="G1161" it came to pass, that|strong="G1096" on|strong="G1722" the|strong="G2250" next|strong="G1836" day|strong="G2250", when|strong="G2718" they|strong="G0846" were come down|strong="G2718" from|strong="G0575" the hill|strong="G3735", much|strong="G4183" people|strong="G3793" met|strong="G4876" him|strong="G0846".
38 And|strong="G2532", behold|strong="G2400", a man|strong="G0435" of|strong="G0575" the company|strong="G3793" cried out|strong="G0310", saying|strong="G3004", Master|strong="G1320", I beseech|strong="G1189" thee|strong="G4675", look|strong="G1914" upon|strong="G1909" my|strong="G3450" son|strong="G5207": for|strong="G3754" he is|strong="G2076" mine|strong="G3427" only child|strong="G3439".
39 And|strong="G2532", lo|strong="G2400", a spirit|strong="G4151" taketh|strong="G2983" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2896" suddenly|strong="G1810" crieth out|strong="G2896"; and|strong="G2532" it teareth|strong="G4682" him|strong="G0846" that|strong="G3326" he foameth again|strong="G0876", and|strong="G2532" bruising|strong="G4937" him|strong="G0846" hardly|strong="G3425" departeth|strong="G0672" from|strong="G0575" him|strong="G0846".
40 And|strong="G2532" I besought|strong="G1189" thy|strong="G4675" disciples|strong="G3101" to|strong="G2443" cast|strong="G1544" him|strong="G0846" out|strong="G1544"; and|strong="G2532" they could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756".

42 And as|strong="G1161" he|strong="G0846" was|strong="G4334" yet|strong="G2089" a coming|strong="G4334", the devil|strong="G1140" threw|strong="G4486" him|strong="G0846" down|strong="G4486", and|strong="G2532" tare|strong="G4952" him. And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" rebuked|strong="G2008" the|strong="G4151" unclean|strong="G0169" spirit|strong="G4151", and|strong="G2532" healed|strong="G2390" the child|strong="G3816", and|strong="G2532" delivered|strong="G0591" him|strong="G0846" again|strong="G0591" to|strong="G3962" his|strong="G0846" father|strong="G3962".
43 And|strong="G1161" they were|strong="G1605" all|strong="G3956" amazed|strong="G1605" at|strong="G1909" the mighty power|strong="G3168" of God|strong="G2316". But|strong="G1161" while they wondered|strong="G2296" every one|strong="G3956" at|strong="G1909" all things|strong="G3956" which|strong="G3739" Jesus|strong="G2424" did|strong="G4160", he said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101",
44 \+w Let|strong="G5087"\+w* \+w these|strong="G5128"\+w* \+w sayings|strong="G3056"\+w* \+w sink down|strong="G5087"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w ears|strong="G3775"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G3195"\+w* \+w be delivered|strong="G3860"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the hands|strong="G5495"\+w* \+w of men|strong="G0444"\+w*.
45 But|strong="G1161" they understood not|strong="G0050" this|strong="G5124" saying|strong="G4487", and|strong="G2532" it was|strong="G2258" hid|strong="G3871" from|strong="G0575" them|strong="G0846", that|strong="G2443" they perceived|strong="G0143" it|strong="G0846" not|strong="G3361": and|strong="G2532" they feared|strong="G5399" to ask|strong="G2065" him|strong="G0846" of|strong="G4012" that|strong="G5127" saying|strong="G4487".
46 Then|strong="G1161" there arose|strong="G1525" a reasoning|strong="G1261" among|strong="G1722" them|strong="G0846", which|strong="G5101" of them|strong="G0846" should be|strong="G1498" greatest|strong="G3187".
47 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424", perceiving|strong="G1492" the thought|strong="G1261" of|strong="G2588" their|strong="G0846" heart|strong="G2588", took|strong="G1949" a child|strong="G3813", and set|strong="G2476" him|strong="G0846" by|strong="G3844" him|strong="G1438",

51 And|strong="G1161" it came to pass|strong="G1096", when|strong="G1722" the time|strong="G2250" was come|strong="G4845" that|strong="G0354" he|strong="G0846" should be received up|strong="G0354", he|strong="G0846" stedfastly set|strong="G4741" his|strong="G0846" face|strong="G4383" to go|strong="G4198" to|strong="G1519" Jerusalem|strong="G2419",
52 And|strong="G2532" sent|strong="G0649" messengers|strong="G0032" before|strong="G4253" his|strong="G0846" face|strong="G4383": and|strong="G2532" they went|strong="G4198", and entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" a village|strong="G2968" of the Samaritans|strong="G4541", to|strong="G5620" make ready|strong="G2090" for him|strong="G0846".

54 And|strong="G1161" when|strong="G1492" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" James|strong="G2385" and|strong="G2532" John|strong="G2491" saw|strong="G1492" this, they said|strong="G2036", Lord|strong="G2962", wilt thou|strong="G2309" that we command|strong="G2036" fire|strong="G4442" to come down|strong="G2597" from|strong="G0575" heaven|strong="G3772", and|strong="G2532" consume|strong="G0355" them|strong="G0846", even|strong="G2532" as|strong="G5613" Elias|strong="G2243" did|strong="G4160"?
55 But|strong="G1161" he turned|strong="G4762", and rebuked|strong="G2008" them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036", \+w Ye know|strong="G1492"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w what manner|strong="G3634"\+w* \+w of spirit|strong="G4151"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w are|strong="G2075"\+w* \+w of|strong="G4151"\+w*.
56 \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w come|strong="G2064"\+w* \+w to destroy|strong="G0622"\+w* \+w men’s|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w lives|strong="G5590"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w to save|strong="G4982"\+w* \+add them\+add*. And|strong="G2532" they went|strong="G4198" to|strong="G1519" another|strong="G2087" village|strong="G2968".
57 And|strong="G1161" it came to pass, that|strong="G1096", as|strong="G4198" they|strong="G0846" went|strong="G4198" in|strong="G1722" the way|strong="G3598", a certain|strong="G5100" man said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846", Lord|strong="G2962", I will follow|strong="G0190" thee|strong="G4671" whithersoever|strong="G3699" thou goest|strong="G0565".
58 And|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w Foxes|strong="G0258"\+w* \+w have|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w holes|strong="G5454"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w birds|strong="G4071"\+w* \+w of the air|strong="G3772"\+w* \+add have\+add* \+w nests|strong="G2682"\+w*; \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w hath|strong="G2192"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w where|strong="G4226"\+w* \+w to lay|strong="G2827"\+w* \+add his\+add* \+w head|strong="G2776"\+w*.
59 And|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" another|strong="G2087", \+w Follow|strong="G0190"\+w* \+w me|strong="G3427"\+w*. But|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036", Lord|strong="G2962", suffer|strong="G2010" me|strong="G3427" first|strong="G4412" to go|strong="G0565" and bury|strong="G2290" my|strong="G3450" father|strong="G3962".
60 Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", \+w Let|strong="G0863"\+w* \+w the dead|strong="G3498"\+w* \+w bury|strong="G2290"\+w* \+w their|strong="G1438"\+w* \+w dead|strong="G3498"\+w*: \+w but|strong="G1161"\+w* \+w go|strong="G0565"\+w* \+w thou|strong="G4771"\+w* \+w and preach|strong="G1229"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*.
61 And|strong="G1161" another|strong="G2087" also|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036", Lord|strong="G2962", I will follow|strong="G0190" thee|strong="G4671"; but|strong="G1161" let|strong="G2010" me|strong="G3427" first|strong="G4412" go|strong="G2010" bid|strong="G0657" them|strong="G3588" farewell|strong="G0657", which are|strong="G3588" at home|strong="G1519" at|strong="G3624" my|strong="G3450" house|strong="G3624".
62 And|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846", \+w No man|strong="G3762"\+w*, \+w having put|strong="G1911"\+w* \+w his|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w hand|strong="G5495"\+w* \+w to|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w the plough|strong="G0723"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w looking|strong="G0991"\+w* \+w back|strong="G3694"\+w*, \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w fit|strong="G2111"\+w* \+w for|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*.
