1 Aconteceu que, num sábado, passando Jesus pelas searas, os seus discípulos colhiam e comiam espigas, debulhando-as com as mãos.

2 E alguns dos fariseus lhes disseram: Por que fazeis o que não é lícito aos sábados?

4 Como entrou na casa de Deus, tomou, e comeu os pães da proposição, e os deu aos que com ele estavam, pães que não lhes era lícito comer, mas exclusivamente aos sacerdotes?

5 E acrescentou-lhes: O Filho do Homem é senhor do sábado.
6 And|strong="G1161" it came to pass|strong="G1096" also|strong="G2532" on|strong="G1722" another|strong="G2087" sabbath|strong="G4521", that he|strong="G0846" entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the synagogue|strong="G4864" and|strong="G2532" taught|strong="G1321": and|strong="G2532" there|strong="G1563" was|strong="G2258" a man|strong="G0444" whose|strong="G0846" right|strong="G1188" hand|strong="G5495" was|strong="G2258" withered|strong="G3584".
6 Sucedeu que, em outro sábado, entrou ele na sinagoga e ensinava. Ora, achava-se ali um homem cuja mão direita estava ressequida.
7 And|strong="G1161" the scribes|strong="G1122" and|strong="G2532" Pharisees|strong="G5330" watched|strong="G3906" him|strong="G0846", whether|strong="G1487" he would heal|strong="G2323" on|strong="G1722" the sabbath day|strong="G4521"; that|strong="G2443" they might find|strong="G2147" an accusation|strong="G2724" against him|strong="G0846".
7 Os escribas e os fariseus observavam-no, procurando ver se ele faria uma cura no sábado, a fim de acharem de que o acusar.
8 But|strong="G1161" he|strong="G0846" knew|strong="G1492" their|strong="G0846" thoughts|strong="G1261", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036" to the man|strong="G0444" which had|strong="G2192" the withered|strong="G3584" hand|strong="G5495", \+w Rise up|strong="G1453"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w stand forth|strong="G2476"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w the midst|strong="G3319"\+w*. And|strong="G1161" he arose|strong="G0450" and stood forth|strong="G2476".
8 Mas ele, conhecendo-lhes os pensamentos, disse ao homem da mão ressequida: Levanta-te e vem para o meio; e ele, levantando-se, permaneceu de pé.
9 Then|strong="G3767" said|strong="G2036" Jesus|strong="G2424" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846", \+w I will ask|strong="G1905"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5209"\+w* \+w one thing|strong="G5101"\+w*; \+w Is it lawful|strong="G1832"\+w* \+w on the sabbath days|strong="G4521"\+w* \+w to do good|strong="G0015"\+w*, \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w to do evil|strong="G2554"\+w*? \+w to save|strong="G4982"\+w* \+w life|strong="G5590"\+w*, \+w or|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w to destroy|strong="G0622"\+w* \+add it\+add*?
9 Então, disse Jesus a eles: Que vos parece? É lícito, no sábado, fazer o bem ou o mal? Salvar a vida ou deixá-la perecer?
10 And|strong="G2532" looking round about upon|strong="G4017" them|strong="G0846" all|strong="G3956", he said|strong="G2036" unto the man|strong="G0444", \+w Stretch forth|strong="G1614"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w hand|strong="G5495"\+w*. And|strong="G1161" he did|strong="G4160" so|strong="G3779": and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" hand|strong="G5495" was restored|strong="G0600" whole|strong="G5199" as|strong="G5613" the other|strong="G0243".
10 E, fitando todos ao redor, disse ao homem: Estende a mão. Ele assim o fez, e a mão lhe foi restaurada.
11 And|strong="G1161" they|strong="G0846" were filled|strong="G4130" with madness|strong="G0454"; and|strong="G2532" communed|strong="G1255" one with|strong="G4314" another|strong="G0240" what|strong="G5101" they might do|strong="G4160" to Jesus|strong="G2424".
11 Mas eles se encheram de furor e discutiam entre si quanto ao que fariam a Jesus.
12 And|strong="G1161" it came to pass|strong="G1096" in|strong="G1722" those|strong="G3778" days|strong="G2250", that he went out|strong="G1831" into|strong="G1519" a mountain|strong="G3735" to pray|strong="G4336", and|strong="G2532" continued all night|strong="G1273" in|strong="G1722" prayer|strong="G4335" to God|strong="G2316".
12 Naqueles dias, retirou-se para o monte, a fim de orar, e passou a noite orando a Deus.
13 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G3753" it was|strong="G1096" day|strong="G2250", he called|strong="G4377" unto him his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101": and|strong="G2532" of|strong="G0575" them|strong="G0846" he chose|strong="G1586" twelve|strong="G1427", whom|strong="G3739" also|strong="G2532" he named|strong="G3687" apostles|strong="G0652";
13 E, quando amanheceu, chamou a si os seus discípulos e escolheu doze dentre eles, aos quais deu também o nome de apóstolos:

14 Simão, a quem acrescentou o nome de Pedro, e André, seu irmão; Tiago e João; Filipe e Bartolomeu;
15 Matthew|strong="G3156" and|strong="G2532" Thomas|strong="G2381", James|strong="G2385" the|strong="G3588" son of Alphæus|strong="G0256", and|strong="G2532" Simon|strong="G4613" called|strong="G2564" Zelotes|strong="G2207",
15 Mateus e Tomé; Tiago, filho de Alfeu, e Simão, chamado Zelote;
16 And Judas|strong="G2455" the brother of James|strong="G2385", and|strong="G2532" Judas|strong="G2455" Iscariot|strong="G2469", which|strong="G3739" also|strong="G2532" was|strong="G1096" the traitor|strong="G4273".
16 Judas, filho de Tiago, e Judas Iscariotes, que se tornou traidor.
17 And|strong="G2532" he came down|strong="G2597" with|strong="G3326" them|strong="G0846", and stood|strong="G2476" in|strong="G1909" the plain|strong="G3977", and|strong="G2532" the company|strong="G3793" of his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101", and|strong="G2532" a great|strong="G4183" multitude|strong="G4128" of people|strong="G2992" out|strong="G0575" of all|strong="G3956" Judæa|strong="G2449" and|strong="G2532" Jerusalem|strong="G2419", and|strong="G2532" from the sea coast|strong="G3882" of Tyre|strong="G5184" and|strong="G2532" Sidon|strong="G4605", which|strong="G3739" came|strong="G2064" to hear|strong="G0191" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" to be healed|strong="G2390" of|strong="G0575" their|strong="G0846" diseases|strong="G3554";
17 E, descendo com eles, parou numa planura onde se encontravam muitos discípulos seus e grande multidão do povo, de toda a Judeia, de Jerusalém e do litoral de Tiro e de Sidom,
18 And|strong="G2532" they that were vexed|strong="G3791" with|strong="G5259" unclean|strong="G0169" spirits|strong="G4151": and|strong="G2532" they were healed|strong="G2323".
18 que vieram para o ouvirem e serem curados de suas enfermidades; também os atormentados por espíritos imundos eram curados.
19 And|strong="G2532" the whole|strong="G3956" multitude|strong="G3793" sought|strong="G2212" to touch|strong="G0680" him|strong="G0846": for|strong="G3754" there went|strong="G1831" virtue|strong="G1411" out|strong="G3844" of him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" healed|strong="G2390" them all|strong="G3956".
19 E todos da multidão procuravam tocá-lo, porque dele saía poder; e curava todos.
20 And|strong="G2532" he|strong="G0846" lifted up|strong="G1869" his|strong="G0846" eyes|strong="G3788" on|strong="G1519" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101", and said|strong="G3004", \+w Blessed|strong="G3107"\+w* \+add be ye\+add* \+w poor|strong="G4434"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w yours|strong="G5212"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w the kingdom|strong="G0932"\+w* \+w of God|strong="G2316"\+w*.
20 Então, olhando ele para os seus discípulos, disse-lhes:
21 \+w Blessed|strong="G3107"\+w* \+add are ye\+add* \+w that hunger|strong="G3983"\+w* \+w now|strong="G3568"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w ye shall be filled|strong="G5526"\+w*. \+w Blessed|strong="G3107"\+w* \+add are ye\+add* \+w that weep|strong="G2799"\+w* \+w now|strong="G3568"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w ye shall laugh|strong="G1070"\+w*.
21 Bem-aventurados vós, os que agora tendes fome, porque sereis fartos.
22 \+w Blessed|strong="G3107"\+w* \+w are ye|strong="G2075"\+w*, \+w when|strong="G3752"\+w* \+w men|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w shall hate|strong="G3404"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5209"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w when|strong="G3752"\+w* \+w they shall separate|strong="G0873"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5209"\+w* \+add from their company\+add*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w shall reproach|strong="G3679"\+w* \+add you\+add*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w cast out|strong="G1544"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w name|strong="G3686"\+w* \+w as|strong="G5613"\+w* \+w evil|strong="G4190"\+w*, \+w for|strong="G1752"\+w* \+w the Son|strong="G5207"\+w* \+w of man’s|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w sake|strong="G5207"\+w*.
22 Bem-aventurados sois quando os homens vos odiarem e quando vos expulsarem da sua companhia, vos injuriarem e rejeitarem o vosso nome como indigno, por causa do Filho do Homem.
23 \+w Rejoice ye|strong="G5463"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w that|strong="G1565"\+w* \+w day|strong="G2250"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w leap for joy|strong="G4640"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w*, \+w behold|strong="G2400"\+w*, \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w reward|strong="G3408"\+w* \+add is\+add* \+w great|strong="G4183"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w heaven|strong="G3772"\+w*: \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w in|strong="G2596"\+w* \+w the like manner|strong="G5024"\+w* \+w did|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w their|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w fathers|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w unto the prophets|strong="G4396"\+w*.
23 Regozijai-vos naquele dia e exultai, porque grande é o vosso galardão no céu; pois dessa forma procederam seus pais com os profetas.
24 \+w But|strong="G4133"\+w* \+w woe|strong="G3759"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w* \+w that are rich|strong="G4145"\+w*! \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w ye have received|strong="G0568"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w consolation|strong="G3874"\+w*.
24 Mas ai de vós, os ricos! Porque tendes a vossa consolação.
25 \+w Woe|strong="G3759"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w* \+w that are full|strong="G1705"\+w*! \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w ye shall hunger|strong="G3983"\+w*. \+w Woe|strong="G3759"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w* \+w that laugh|strong="G1070"\+w* \+w now|strong="G3568"\+w*! \+w for|strong="G3754"\+w* \+w ye shall mourn|strong="G3996"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w weep|strong="G2799"\+w*.
25 Ai de vós, os que estais agora fartos! Porque vireis a ter fome.
26 \+w Woe|strong="G3759"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w when|strong="G3752"\+w* \+w all|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w men|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w shall speak|strong="G2036"\+w* \+w well|strong="G2573"\+w* \+w of you|strong="G5209"\+w*! \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w so|strong="G5024"\+w* \+w did|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w their|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w fathers|strong="G3962"\+w* \+w to the false prophets|strong="G5578"\+w*.
26 Ai de vós, quando todos vos louvarem! Porque assim procederam seus pais com os falsos profetas.
27 \+w But|strong="G0235"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w* \+w which hear|strong="G0191"\+w*, \+w Love|strong="G0025"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w enemies|strong="G2190"\+w*, \+w do|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w good|strong="G2573"\+w* \+w to them which hate|strong="G3404"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5209"\+w*,
27 Digo-vos, porém, a vós outros que me ouvis: amai os vossos inimigos, fazei o bem aos que vos odeiam;
28 \+w Bless|strong="G2127"\+w* \+w them that curse|strong="G2672"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w pray|strong="G4336"\+w* \+w for|strong="G5228"\+w* \+w them which despitefully use|strong="G1908"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5209"\+w*.
28 bendizei aos que vos maldizem, orai pelos que vos caluniam.
29 \+w And unto him that smiteth|strong="G5180"\+w* \+w thee|strong="G4571"\+w* \+w on|strong="G1909"\+w* \+w the|strong="G4600"\+w* \+add one\+add* \+w cheek|strong="G4600"\+w* \+w offer|strong="G3930"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w the other|strong="G0243"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w him|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w that taketh away|strong="G0142"\+w* \+w thy|strong="G4675"\+w* \+w cloke|strong="G2440"\+w* \+w forbid|strong="G2967"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+add to take thy\+add* \+w coat|strong="G5509"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w*.
29 Ao que te bate numa face, oferece-lhe também a outra; e, ao que tirar a tua capa, deixa-o levar também a túnica;
30 \+w Give|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w to every man|strong="G3956"\+w* \+w that asketh|strong="G0154"\+w* \+w of thee|strong="G4571"\+w*; \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w of|strong="G0575"\+w* \+w him that taketh away|strong="G0142"\+w* \+w thy goods|strong="G4674"\+w* \+w ask|strong="G0523"\+w* \+add them\+add* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w again|strong="G0523"\+w*.
30 dá a todo o que te pede; e, se alguém levar o que é teu, não entres em demanda.
31 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w as|strong="G2531"\+w* \+w ye would|strong="G2309"\+w* \+w that|strong="G2443"\+w* \+w men|strong="G0444"\+w* \+w should do to|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w do|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w to them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w likewise|strong="G3668"\+w*.
31 Como quereis que os homens vos façam, assim fazei-o vós também a eles.
32 \+w For|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w if|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w ye love|strong="G0025"\+w* \+w them which love|strong="G0025"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5209"\+w*, \+w what|strong="G4169"\+w* \+w thank|strong="G5485"\+w* \+w have|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5213"\+w*? \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w sinners|strong="G0268"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w love|strong="G0025"\+w* \+w those that love|strong="G0025"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w*.
32 Se amais os que vos amam, qual é a vossa recompensa? Porque até os pecadores amam aos que os amam.
33 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w if|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w ye do good|strong="G0015"\+w* \+w to them which do good|strong="G0015"\+w* \+w to you|strong="G5209"\+w*, \+w what|strong="G4169"\+w* \+w thank|strong="G5485"\+w* \+w have|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5213"\+w*? \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w sinners|strong="G0268"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w do|strong="G4160"\+w* \+w even the same|strong="G0846"\+w*.
33 Se fizerdes o bem aos que vos fazem o bem, qual é a vossa recompensa? Até os pecadores fazem isso.
34 \+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w if|strong="G1437"\+w* \+w ye lend|strong="G1155"\+w* \+add to them\+add* \+w of|strong="G3844"\+w* \+w whom|strong="G3739"\+w* \+w ye hope|strong="G1679"\+w* \+w to receive|strong="G0618"\+w*, \+w what|strong="G4169"\+w* \+w thank|strong="G5485"\+w* \+w have|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5213"\+w*? \+w for|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w sinners|strong="G0268"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w lend|strong="G1155"\+w* \+w to sinners|strong="G0268"\+w*, \+w to|strong="G2443"\+w* \+w receive|strong="G0618"\+w* \+w as much again|strong="G2470"\+w*.
34 E, se emprestais àqueles de quem esperais receber, qual é a vossa recompensa? Também os pecadores emprestam aos pecadores, para receberem outro tanto.

35 Amai, porém, os vossos inimigos, fazei o bem e emprestai, sem esperar nenhuma paga; será grande o vosso galardão, e sereis filhos do Altíssimo. Pois ele é benigno até para com os ingratos e maus.

36 Sede misericordiosos, como também é misericordioso vosso Pai.
