2 A devout|strong="G2152" man, and|strong="G2532" one that feared|strong="G5399" God|strong="G2316" with|strong="G4862" all|strong="G3956" his|strong="G0846" house|strong="G3624", which|strong="G5037" gave|strong="G4160" much|strong="G4183" alms|strong="G1654" to the people|strong="G2992", and|strong="G2532" prayed|strong="G1189" to God|strong="G2316" alway|strong="G1275".
3 He saw|strong="G1492" in|strong="G1722" a vision|strong="G3705" evidently|strong="G5320" about|strong="G5616" the ninth|strong="G1766" hour|strong="G5610" of the day|strong="G2250" an angel|strong="G0032" of God|strong="G2316" coming in|strong="G1525" to|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" saying|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", Cornelius|strong="G2883".
4 And|strong="G1161" when he looked|strong="G0816" on him|strong="G0846", he was|strong="G1096" afraid|strong="G1719", and said|strong="G2036", What|strong="G5101" is it|strong="G2076", Lord|strong="G2962"? And|strong="G1161" he said|strong="G2036" unto him|strong="G0846", Thy|strong="G4675" prayers|strong="G4335" and|strong="G2532" thine|strong="G4675" alms|strong="G1654" are come up|strong="G0305" for|strong="G1519" a memorial|strong="G3422" before|strong="G1799" God|strong="G2316".

6 He|strong="G3778" lodgeth|strong="G3579" with|strong="G3844" one|strong="G5100" Simon|strong="G4613" a tanner|strong="G1038", whose|strong="G3739" house|strong="G3614" is|strong="G2076" by|strong="G3844" the sea side|strong="G2281": he|strong="G3778" shall tell|strong="G2980" thee|strong="G4671" what|strong="G5101" thou|strong="G4571" oughtest|strong="G1163" to do|strong="G4160".

9 On|strong="G1161" the morrow|strong="G1887", as|strong="G1565" they went on their journey|strong="G3596", and|strong="G2532" drew nigh|strong="G1448" unto the city|strong="G4172", Peter|strong="G4074" went up|strong="G0305" upon|strong="G1909" the housetop|strong="G1430" to pray|strong="G4336" about|strong="G4012" the sixth|strong="G1623" hour|strong="G5610":
10 And|strong="G1161" he became|strong="G1096" very hungry|strong="G4361", and|strong="G2532" would|strong="G2309" have eaten|strong="G1089": but|strong="G1161" while they|strong="G1565" made ready|strong="G3903", he|strong="G0846" fell|strong="G1968" into|strong="G1909" a trance|strong="G1611",
11 And|strong="G2532" saw|strong="G2334" heaven|strong="G3772" opened|strong="G0455", and|strong="G2532" a certain|strong="G5100" vessel|strong="G4632" descending|strong="G2597" unto|strong="G1909" him|strong="G0846", as|strong="G5613" it had been a great|strong="G3173" sheet|strong="G3607" knit|strong="G1210" at the four|strong="G5064" corners|strong="G0746", and|strong="G2532" let down|strong="G2524" to|strong="G1909" the earth|strong="G1093":
12 Wherein|strong="G3739" were|strong="G5225" all manner of|strong="G3956" fourfooted beasts|strong="G5074" of the earth|strong="G1093", and|strong="G2532" wild beasts|strong="G2342", and|strong="G2532" creeping things|strong="G2062", and|strong="G2532" fowls|strong="G4071" of the air|strong="G3772".
13 And|strong="G2532" there came|strong="G1096" a voice|strong="G5456" to|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846", Rise|strong="G0450", Peter|strong="G4074"; kill|strong="G2380", and|strong="G2532" eat|strong="G5315".
14 But|strong="G1161" Peter|strong="G4074" said|strong="G2036", Not so|strong="G3365", Lord|strong="G2962"; for|strong="G3754" I have|strong="G5315" never|strong="G3763" eaten|strong="G5315" any thing|strong="G3956" that is common|strong="G2839" or|strong="G2228" unclean|strong="G0169".
15 And|strong="G2532" the voice|strong="G5456" spake unto|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846" again|strong="G3825" the second time|strong="G1208", What|strong="G3739" God|strong="G2316" hath cleansed|strong="G2511", that call|strong="G2840" not|strong="G3361" thou|strong="G4771" common|strong="G2840".
16 This|strong="G5124" was done|strong="G1096" thrice|strong="G5151": and|strong="G2532" the vessel|strong="G4632" was received up|strong="G0353" again|strong="G3825" into|strong="G1519" heaven|strong="G3772".
17 Now|strong="G1161" while|strong="G5613" Peter|strong="G4074" doubted|strong="G1280" in|strong="G1722" himself|strong="G1438" what|strong="G5101" this vision|strong="G3705" which|strong="G3739" he had seen|strong="G1492" should mean|strong="G1498", behold|strong="G2400", the men|strong="G0435" which|strong="G3588" were sent|strong="G0649" from|strong="G0575" Cornelius|strong="G2883" had made enquiry|strong="G1331" for Simon’s|strong="G4613" house|strong="G3614", and|strong="G2532" stood|strong="G2186" before|strong="G1909" the gate|strong="G4440",
18 And|strong="G2532" called|strong="G5455", and asked|strong="G4441" whether|strong="G1487" Simon|strong="G4613", which|strong="G3588" was surnamed|strong="G1941" Peter|strong="G4074", were lodged|strong="G3579" there|strong="G1759".
19 While|strong="G1161" Peter|strong="G4074" thought|strong="G1760" on|strong="G4012" the vision|strong="G3705", the Spirit|strong="G4151" said unto|strong="G2036" him|strong="G0846", Behold|strong="G2400", three|strong="G5140" men|strong="G0435" seek|strong="G2212" thee|strong="G4571".
20 Arise|strong="G0450" therefore|strong="G0235", and get thee down|strong="G2597", and|strong="G2532" go|strong="G4198" with|strong="G4862" them|strong="G0846", doubting|strong="G1252" nothing|strong="G3367": for|strong="G1360" I|strong="G1473" have sent|strong="G0649" them|strong="G0846".

22 And|strong="G1161" they said|strong="G2036", Cornelius|strong="G2883" the centurion|strong="G1543", a just|strong="G1342" man|strong="G0435", and|strong="G2532" one that feareth|strong="G5399" God|strong="G2316", and|strong="G5037" of good report|strong="G3140" among|strong="G5259" all|strong="G3650" the nation|strong="G1484" of the Jews|strong="G2453", was warned from God|strong="G5537" by|strong="G5259" an holy|strong="G0040" angel|strong="G0032" to send for|strong="G3343" thee|strong="G4571" into|strong="G1519" his|strong="G0846" house|strong="G3624", and|strong="G2532" to hear|strong="G0191" words|strong="G4487" of|strong="G3844" thee|strong="G4675".
23 Then|strong="G3767" called he|strong="G1528" them|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1528", and lodged|strong="G3579" them. And|strong="G1161" on the morrow|strong="G1887" Peter|strong="G4074" went away|strong="G1831" with|strong="G4862" them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" certain|strong="G5100" brethren|strong="G0080" from|strong="G0575" Joppa|strong="G2445" accompanied|strong="G4905" him|strong="G0846".
24 And|strong="G2532" the morrow after|strong="G1887" they entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" Cæsarea|strong="G2542". And|strong="G1161" Cornelius|strong="G2883" waited for|strong="G4328" them|strong="G0846", and had|strong="G2258" called together|strong="G4779" his|strong="G0846" kinsmen|strong="G4773" and|strong="G2532" near|strong="G0316" friends|strong="G5384".
25 And|strong="G1161" as|strong="G5613" Peter|strong="G4074" was|strong="G1096" coming in|strong="G1525", Cornelius|strong="G2883" met|strong="G4876" him|strong="G0846", and fell down|strong="G4098" at|strong="G1909" his feet|strong="G4228", and worshipped|strong="G4352" him.
26 But|strong="G1161" Peter|strong="G4074" took|strong="G1453" him|strong="G0846" up|strong="G1453", saying|strong="G3004", Stand up|strong="G0450"; I|strong="G2504" myself|strong="G0846" also|strong="G2504" am|strong="G1510" a man|strong="G0444".
27 And|strong="G2532" as he talked with|strong="G4926" him|strong="G0846", he went in|strong="G1525", and|strong="G2532" found|strong="G2147" many|strong="G4183" that were come together|strong="G4905".
28 And|strong="G5037" he said|strong="G5346" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846", Ye|strong="G5210" know|strong="G1987" how that|strong="G5613" it is an unlawful thing|strong="G0111" for a man|strong="G0435" that is|strong="G2076" a Jew|strong="G2453" to keep company|strong="G2853", or|strong="G2228" come unto|strong="G4334" one of another nation|strong="G0246"; but|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2316" hath shewed|strong="G1166" me|strong="G1698" that|strong="G1166" I should|strong="G3004" not|strong="G3367" call|strong="G3004" any man|strong="G0444" common|strong="G2839" or|strong="G2228" unclean|strong="G0169".
29 Therefore|strong="G1352" came I|strong="G2064" unto you without gainsaying|strong="G0369", as soon as I was sent for|strong="G3343": I ask|strong="G4441" therefore|strong="G3767" for what|strong="G5101" intent|strong="G3056" ye have sent for|strong="G3343" me|strong="G3165"?
30 And|strong="G2532" Cornelius|strong="G2883" said|strong="G5346", Four|strong="G5067" days|strong="G2250" ago|strong="G0575" I was|strong="G2252" fasting|strong="G3522" until|strong="G3360" this|strong="G3778" hour|strong="G5610"; and|strong="G2532" at the ninth|strong="G1766" hour|strong="G5610" I prayed|strong="G4336" in|strong="G1722" my|strong="G3450" house|strong="G3624", and|strong="G2532", behold|strong="G2400", a man|strong="G0435" stood|strong="G2476" before|strong="G1799" me|strong="G3450" in|strong="G1722" bright|strong="G2986" clothing|strong="G2066",

32 Send|strong="G3992" therefore|strong="G3767" to|strong="G1519" Joppa|strong="G2445", and|strong="G2532" call hither|strong="G3333" Simon|strong="G4613", whose|strong="G3739" surname is|strong="G1941" Peter|strong="G4074"; he|strong="G3778" is lodged|strong="G3579" in|strong="G1722" the house|strong="G3614" of|strong="G4613" one Simon|strong="G4613" a tanner|strong="G1038" by|strong="G3844" the sea side|strong="G2281": who|strong="G3739", when he cometh|strong="G3854", shall speak|strong="G2980" unto thee|strong="G4671".

34 Then|strong="G1161" Peter|strong="G4074" opened|strong="G0455" his mouth|strong="G4750", and said|strong="G2036", Of|strong="G1909" a truth|strong="G0225" I perceive|strong="G2638" that|strong="G3754" God|strong="G2316" is|strong="G2076" no|strong="G3756" respecter of persons|strong="G4381":
35 But|strong="G0235" in|strong="G1722" every|strong="G3956" nation|strong="G1484" he|strong="G3588" that feareth|strong="G5399" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" worketh|strong="G2038" righteousness|strong="G1343", is|strong="G2076" accepted|strong="G1184" with him|strong="G0846".
36 The word|strong="G3056" which|strong="G3739" God sent|strong="G0649" unto the children|strong="G5207" of Israel|strong="G2474", preaching|strong="G2097" peace|strong="G1515" by|strong="G1223" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547": (he|strong="G3778" is|strong="G2076" Lord|strong="G2962" of all|strong="G3956":)
37 That word|strong="G4487", I say, ye|strong="G5210" know|strong="G1492", which was published|strong="G1096" throughout|strong="G2596" all|strong="G3650" Judæa|strong="G2449", and began|strong="G0756" from|strong="G0575" Galilee|strong="G1056", after|strong="G3326" the baptism|strong="G0908" which|strong="G3739" John|strong="G2491" preached|strong="G2784";

42 And|strong="G2532" he commanded|strong="G3853" us|strong="G2254" to preach|strong="G2784" unto the people|strong="G2992", and|strong="G2532" to testify|strong="G1263" that|strong="G3754" it|strong="G0846" is|strong="G2076" he which|strong="G3588" was ordained|strong="G3724" of|strong="G5259" God|strong="G2316" to be the Judge|strong="G2923" of quick|strong="G2198" and|strong="G2532" dead|strong="G3498".
43 To him|strong="G5129" give|strong="G3140" all|strong="G3956" the prophets|strong="G4396" witness|strong="G3140", that through|strong="G1223" his|strong="G0846" name|strong="G3686" whosoever|strong="G3956" believeth|strong="G4100" in|strong="G1519" him|strong="G0846" shall receive|strong="G2983" remission|strong="G0859" of sins|strong="G0266".
44 While Peter|strong="G4074" yet|strong="G2089" spake|strong="G2980" these|strong="G5023" words|strong="G4487", the Holy|strong="G0040" Ghost|strong="G4151" fell|strong="G1968" on|strong="G1909" all|strong="G3956" them|strong="G3588" which heard|strong="G0191" the word|strong="G3056".
45 And|strong="G2532" they|strong="G3588" of|strong="G1537" the circumcision|strong="G4061" which believed|strong="G4103" were astonished|strong="G1839", as many as|strong="G3745" came|strong="G4905" with Peter|strong="G4074", because that|strong="G3754" on|strong="G1909" the Gentiles|strong="G1484" also|strong="G2532" was poured out|strong="G1632" the gift|strong="G1431" of the Holy|strong="G0040" Ghost|strong="G4151".
