1 I entreat therefore you, brethren, through the tender compassion of the God, to present the bodies of you a sacrifice living, holy, wellpleasing to the God, the rational religious service of you;
1 Portanto, irmãos, suplico-lhes que entreguem seu corpo a Deus, por causa de tudo que ele fez por vocês. Que seja um sacrifício vivo e santo, do tipo que Deus considera agradável. Essa é a verdadeira forma de adorá-lo.
2 and not conform yourselves to take age this, but transform yourselves by the renovation of the mind of you, in order that to prove you, what the will of the God, the good and wellpleasing and perfect.
2 Não imitem o comportamento e os costumes deste mundo, mas deixem que Deus os transforme por meio de uma mudança em seu modo de pensar, a fim de que experimentem a boa, agradável e perfeita vontade de Deus para vocês.
3 I say for through the favor of that having been given to me, to all to him being among you, not to think above beyond what it behooves to think, but to think in order that to be of sound mind, to each one as the God divided a measure of faith.
3 Com base na graça que recebi, dou a cada um de vocês a seguinte advertência: não se considerem melhores do que realmente são. Antes, sejam honestos em sua autoavaliação, medindo-se de acordo com a fé que Deus nos deu.
4 Just as for in one body members many we have, the but members all not the same has operation;
4 Da mesma forma que nosso corpo tem vários membros e cada membro, uma função específica,
5 thus the many one body we are in Anointed, the but each one, of each other members.
5 assim é também com o corpo de Cristo. Somos membros diferentes do mesmo corpo, e todos pertencemos uns aos outros.
6 Having but gracious gifts according to the favor the having been given to us of different kinds; if prophets, according to the analogy of the faith.
6 Deus, em sua graça, nos concedeu diferentes dons. Portanto, se você tiver a capacidade de profetizar, faça-o de acordo com a proporção de fé que recebeu.
7 If service, in the service; if the teaching, in the act of teaching;
7 Se tiver o dom de servir, sirva com dedicação. Se for mestre, ensine bem.
8 if the exhorting, in the exhortation; the one giving, with simplicity; the one presiding, with diligence; the one pitying, with cheerfulness.
8 Se seu dom consistir em encorajar pessoas, encoraje-as. Se for o dom de contribuir, dê com generosidade. Se for o de exercer liderança, lidere de forma responsável. E, se for o de demonstrar misericórdia, pratique-o com alegria.
9 The love, unfeigned detesting the evil, adhering to the good;
9 Amem as pessoas sem fingimento. Odeiem tudo que é mau. Apeguem-se firmemente ao que é bom.
10 in the brotherly kindness, towards each other tender affection; in the honor each other going before;
10 Amem-se com amor fraternal e tenham prazer em honrar uns aos outros.
11 in the study not idle ones; in the spirit being fervent; to the Lord serving;
11 Jamais sejam preguiçosos, mas trabalhem com dedicação e sirvam ao Senhor com entusiasmo.
12 in the hope rejoicing; in the affliction being patient; in the prayer constantly attending;
12 Alegrem-se em nossa esperança. Sejam pacientes nas dificuldades e não parem de orar.
13 to the wants of the holy ones contributing; the kindness to strangers following.
13 Quando membros do povo santo passarem por necessidade, ajudem com prontidão. Estejam sempre dispostos a praticar a hospitalidade.
14 Bless you those persecuting you; bless you, and not curse you.
14 Abençoem aqueles que os perseguem. Não os amaldiçoem, mas orem para que Deus os abençoe.
15 To rejoice with rejoicing ones, and to weep with weeping ones.
15 Alegrem-se com os que se alegram e chorem com os que choram.
16 The same for each other minding; not the things high minding, but to the low ones conform yourselves. Not become wise with yourselves.
16 Vivam em harmonia uns com os outros. Não sejam orgulhosos, mas tenham amizade com gente de condição humilde. E não pensem que sabem tudo.
17 To no one evil in return for evil giving back; providing honorable things in presence of all men;
17 Nunca paguem o mal com o mal. Pensem sempre em fazer o que é melhor aos olhos de todos.
18 if able that from of you, with all men being at peace;
18 No que depender de vocês, vivam em paz com todos.
19 not yourself avenging, beloved ones; but give you a place to the wrath; it has been written for: To me vengeance; I will repay, says Lord.
19 Amados, nunca se vinguem; deixem que a ira de Deus se encarregue disso, pois assim dizem as Escrituras: “A vingança cabe a mim, eu lhes darei o troco, diz o Senhor”.
20 If therefore may hunger the enemy of thee, do thou feed him; if he may thirst give drink to him. This for doing, coals of fire thou wilt pile on the head of him.
20 Pelo contrário: “Se seu inimigo estiver com fome, dê-lhe de comer; se estiver com sede, dê-lhe de beber. Ao fazer isso, amontoará brasas vivas sobre a cabeça dele”.
21 Not be overcome by the evil, but overcome by the good the evil.
21 Não deixem que o mal os vença, mas vençam o mal praticando o bem.
