1 A Ježíš k nim znovu mluvil v podobenstvích:
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 "S královstvím Božím je to tak, jako když jeden král vystrojil svatbu svému synu.
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Poslal služebníky, aby přivedli pozvané na svatbu, ale oni nechtěli jít.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Poslal znovu jiné služebníky se slovy: 'Řekněte pozvaným: Hle, hostinu jsem uchystal, býčci a krmný dobytek je poražen, všechno je připraveno; pojďte na svatbu!'
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Ale oni nedbali a odešli, jeden na své pole, druhý za svým obchodem.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 Ostatní chytili jeho služebníky, potupně je ztýrali a zabili je.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Tu se král rozhněval, poslal svá vojska, vrahy zahubil a jejich město vypálil.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Potom řekl svým služebníkům: 'Svatba je připravena, ale pozvaní nebyli jí hodni;
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 jděte tedy na rozcestí a koho najdete, pozvěte na svatbu.'
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Služebníci vyšli na cesty a shromáždili všechny, které nalezli, zlé i dobré; a svatební síň se naplnila stolovníky.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Když král vstoupil mezi stolovníky, spatřil tam člověka, který nebyl oblečen na svatbu.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Řekl mu: 'Příteli, jak ses sem dostal, když nejsi oblečen na svatbu?' On se nezmohl ani na slovo.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Tu řekl král sloužícím: 'Svažte mu ruce i nohy a uvrhněte ho ven do temnot; tam bude pláč a skřípění zubů.'
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Neboť mnozí jsou pozváni, ale málokdo bude vybrán."
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Tehdy farizeové šli a radili se, jak by Ježíšovi nějakým slovem nastražili léčku.

16 Poslali za ním své učedníky s herodiány, aby řekli: "Mistře, víme, že jsi pravdivý a učíš cestě Boží podle pravdy; na nikoho se neohlížíš a nebereš ohled na postavení člověka.
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Pověz nám tedy, co myslíš: Je dovoleno dávat daň císaři, nebo ne?"
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 Ale Ježíš poznal jejich zlý úmysl a řekl: "Co mě pokoušíte, pokrytci?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 "Ukažte mi peníz daně!" Podali mu denár.
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 On jim řekl: "Čí je tento obraz a nápis?"
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Odpověděli: "Císařův." Tu jim řekl: "Odevzdejte tedy, co je císařovo, císaři, co je Boží, dejte Bohu."
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Když to slyšeli, podivili se, nechali ho a odešli.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 V ten den přišli za ním saduceové, kteří říkají, že není vzkříšení, a předložili mu dotaz:
23 — ausente —
24 "Mistře, Mojžíš řekl: 'Zemře-li někdo bez dětí, ať se s jeho manželkou podle řádu švagrovství ožení jeho bratr a zplodí svému bratru potomka.'
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 U nás bylo sedm bratří. První po svatbě zemřel, a protože neměl potomka, zanechal svou ženu svému bratru.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 Stejně i druhý, třetí a nakonec všech sedm.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Naposledy ze všech zemřela ta žena.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 Až bude vzkříšení, komu z těch sedmi bude patřit? Vždyť ji měli všichni!"
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Ježíš jim odpověděl: "Mýlíte se, neznáte Písma ani moc Boží.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Po vzkříšení se lidé nežení ani nevdávají, ale jsou jako nebeští andělé.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
31 A pokud jde o vzkříšení mrtvých, nečetli jste, co vám Bůh pravil:
31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 'Já jsem Bůh Abrahamův, Bůh Izákův a Bůh Jákobův?' On přece není Bohem mrtvých, nýbrž živých."
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 Když to slyšely zástupy, žasly nad jeho učením.
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 Když se farizeové doslechli, že umlčel saduceje, smluvili se
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 a jeden jejich zákoník se ho otázal, aby ho pokoušel:
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 "Mistře, které přikázání v zákoně je největší?"
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 On mu řekl: "'Miluj Hospodina, Boha svého, celým svým srdcem, celou svou duší a celou svou myslí.'
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 To je největší a první přikázání.
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 Druhé je mu podobné: 'Miluj svého bližního jako sám sebe.'
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 Na těch dvou přikázáních spočívá celý Zákon i Proroci."
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 Když se farizeové sešli, zeptal se jich Ježíš:
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 "Co si myslíte o Mesiášovi? Čí je syn?" Odpověděli mu: "Davidův."
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 Řekl jim: "Jak to tedy, že ho David v Duchu svatém nazývá Pánem, když praví:
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 'Řekl Hospodin mému Pánu: Usedni po mé pravici, dokud ti nepoložím nepřátele pod nohy.'
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 Jestliže tedy David nazývá Mesiáše Pánem, jak může být jeho synem?"
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 A nikdo nebyl s to odpovědět mu ani slovo; od toho dne se ho již nikdo neodvážil tázat.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
