1 It is a good thing to give thanks to LORD, and to sing praises to thy name, O Most High,
1 Bom é render graças ao Senhor e cantar louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo,
2 to show forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
2 anunciar de manhã a tua misericórdia e, durante as noites, a tua fidelidade,
3 with an instrument of ten strings, and with the psaltery, with a solemn sound upon the harp.
3 com instrumentos de dez cordas, ao som da lira e com a solenidade da harpa.
4 For thou, LORD, have made me glad through thy work. I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
4 Pois me alegraste, Senhor , com os teus feitos; exultarei nas obras das tuas mãos.
5 How great are thy works, O LORD! Thy thoughts are very deep.
5 Como são grandes, Senhor , as tuas obras! Os teus pensamentos, que profundos!
6 A brutish man knows not, nor does a fool understand this.
6 O tolo não compreende, e o insensato não percebe isto:
7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they shall be destroyed forever,
7 ainda que os ímpios brotem como a erva, e floresçam todos os que praticam a iniquidade, serão destruídos para sempre.
8 but thou, O LORD, are on high for evermore.
8 Mas tu, Senhor , és o Altíssimo eternamente.
9 For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish. All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
9 Eis que os teus inimigos, Senhor , eis que os teus inimigos perecerão; serão dispersos todos os que praticam a iniquidade.
10 But thou have exalted my horn like the wild ox's. I am anointed with fresh oil,
10 Porém tu exaltas o meu poder como o do boi selvagem; derramas sobre mim o óleo fresco.
11 and my eye has seen my enemies. My ears have heard of the evil-doers who rise up against me.
11 Os meus olhos veem a derrota dos inimigos que me espreitam, e os meus ouvidos escutam os gritos dos malfeitores que contra mim se levantam.
12 A righteous man shall flourish like the palm tree. He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
12 O justo florescerá como a palmeira, crescerá como o cedro no Líbano.
13 Men who are planted in the house of LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
13 Plantados na Casa do Senhor , florescerão nos átrios do nosso Deus.
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age. They shall be full of sap and green
14 Na velhice ainda darão frutos, serão cheios de seiva e de verdor,
15 to show that LORD is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
15 para anunciar que o Ele é a minha rocha, e nele não há injustiça.
