1 It is a good thing to give thanks to LORD, and to sing praises to thy name, O Most High,
1 Bom é louvar ao Senhor e cantar louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo,
2 to show forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
2 para de manhã anunciar a tua benignidade e, todas as noites, a tua fidelidade,
3 with an instrument of ten strings, and with the psaltery, with a solemn sound upon the harp.
3 sobre um instrumento de dez cordas e sobre o saltério; sobre a harpa com som solene.
4 For thou, LORD, have made me glad through thy work. I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
4 Pois tu, Senhor , me alegraste com os teus feitos; exultarei nas obras das tuas mãos.
5 How great are thy works, O LORD! Thy thoughts are very deep.
5 Quão grandes são, Senhor , as tuas obras! Mui profundos são os teus pensamentos!
6 A brutish man knows not, nor does a fool understand this.
6 O homem brutal nada sabe, e o louco não entende isto.
7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they shall be destroyed forever,
7 Brotam os ímpios como a erva, e florescem todos os que praticam a iniquidade, mas para serem destruídos para sempre.
8 but thou, O LORD, are on high for evermore.
8 Mas tu, Senhor , és o Altíssimo para sempre.
9 For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish. All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
9 Pois eis que os teus inimigos, Senhor , eis que os teus inimigos perecerão; serão dispersos todos os que praticam a iniquidade.
10 But thou have exalted my horn like the wild ox's. I am anointed with fresh oil,
10 Mas tu exaltarás o meu poder, como o do unicórnio: serei ungido com óleo fresco.
11 and my eye has seen my enemies. My ears have heard of the evil-doers who rise up against me.
11 Os meus olhos verão cumprido o meu desejo sobre os meus inimigos, e os meus ouvidos dele se certificarão quanto aos malfeitores que se levantam contra mim.
12 A righteous man shall flourish like the palm tree. He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
12 O justo florescerá como a palmeira; crescerá como o cedro no Líbano.
13 Men who are planted in the house of LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
13 Os que estão plantados na Casa do Senhor florescerão nos átrios do nosso Deus.
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age. They shall be full of sap and green
14 Na velhice ainda darão frutos; serão viçosos e florescentes,
15 to show that LORD is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
15 para anunciarem que o Senhor é reto; ele é a minha rocha, e nele não há injustiça.
